Oceans in the Desert

You have probably heard the term, “The Perfect Storm” but have you ever heard the term, “A Perfect Peace”? The enemy loves to orchestrate different scenarios in our lives that all will intersect at the same time to create for us a perfect storm. He is the author of the perfect storms in our lives.

According to Hebrews 12:2 we have another author in our lives. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the one who can take the perfect storm and turn it into perfect peace. With one word He can command the winds and waves of adversity to be at peace.

Whether it is today or a day yet to come, you are sure to face another storm. This time let Jesus, your Prince of Peace, be the author and finisher of that storm. Call upon Him and know that He will not let you perish but will command the winds and waves to cease. Though it may appear that He is sleeping while you face a life threatening storm; He is not asleep but is seated at the right hand of the Father and He will command the winds to cease and peace to return.

Mark 4:39 (Amplified Bible)
And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).
