Oceans in the Desert

Today is St. Patrick’s Day where people wear the color green in honor of this day that Christianity was brought into Ireland and the snakes (idols and pagan worshippers) were driven out. Though few know the true origins of the day, many still wear the customary green; or they might get pinched. 

As I waited upon the Lord this morning I saw God’s people having green garments come and cover them like a vibrant emerald jewel. As this green garment came down upon them I saw snakes, that had been harassing them and striking at them (like sharp pinches), fleeing and being removed from their lives. Your ongoing trust in the Lord was resulting in clothing you in this new garment.

“But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I keep hearing the word, “Evergreen”. Our home in Eugene, Oregon (which is called the Emerald City) is surrounded by evergreen trees. They are green year round and stand tall and straight. I hear the Spirit reminding you of the promise that you will be like an evergreen. The seasons will not cause your colors or your fade. 

“But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!””

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:12-15‬ ‭

Declare these words aloud, “THE LORD IS JUST!! He is our Rock and no evil exist within Him. I put my trust in Him and His mercy alone!” 

This is the declaration that clothes you with this evergreen of emerald jewels. Green is Biblically the color of vegetation, healing, new beginnings, restoration and life. Emeralds were used in signet rings that were the “seal of the king’s authority”, they were in the breastplate of the priests and the rainbow around the Throne of God is compared to an emerald. Therefore you will be His emerald signet ring of authority, you will wear His priestly breastplate and you will be encircled with The promises that encircle His throne (where you are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus). 

Today as you declare these words healing is coming down upon you, open doors to new beginnings are occurring, fruitfulness is springing forth and restoration and resurrection is happening for you. 

“For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:8

Though droughts come they will not affect you. You will remain evergreen. You will yield fruit in every season and the snakes that have been striking at your heels will be chased out of the borders of your life. Not only will the snakes be removed but the little foxes that spoil the vineyards will be removed and you will be receive a bountiful harvest of sweet and plump fruit in every season. New wine will pour forth from your life.

Shout to the Lord because He is just, merciful and forever faithful. He gives us green pastures to rest in and makes us green in every season. He drives out the snakes and foxes that come to destroy life and fruit. Jesus is the true Grapevine and our Father is the Gardener who keeps us (the branches) green and fruitful. 

Today green garments of new life are coming down upon you.

As I was completing this article I saw of “emerald seeds” being sown today that grew into the the release of bountiful promises fulfilled. Wow. 

I went to post this and saw on my that it was 11:11! 
“It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.”
