Oceans in the Desert

As I waited on the Lord today I was show three separate visions that all worked together. They were about God rekindling marriages. According to the dictionary, to “rekindle” is to excite, stir up, or rouse anew. Or, to cause to begin burning again; ignite again. 

In the first vision I saw angels that were sent on assignment to repair a fraying rope. I noticed that there were three cords to this rope and one cord was strong and intact but the other two had loosened and pulling away. They were also fraying and had a lot of “wear” upon them. 

When I asked the Lord about this vision I immediately was taken to the scripture from Ecclesiastes 4:12 that reads,

“…And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” 

This is such a key verse in marriage. The enemy hates covenant and because the marriage covenant is the Earthly picture of the bridal covenant that we share with Jesus he especially hates marriage. There is great strength in the three-cord covenant that occurs when a man, a woman and God stand together as one. The enemy works hard to pull them apart from one another and from God. He desires to weaken the cords so that covenant will be broken. 

I felt as through the arms of many couples were hanging down in great weariness. They could not hold up their arms to embrace the other as their human strength had failed. Their love had grown cold. These marriage seemed hopeless and they were pulling away from one another. 

God is sending supernatural intervention to begin to repair these three-cord ropes. He is sending angels to work on the individual cords that have frayed and to strengthen them (the “God-strand” was in perfect condition). I saw these angels re-braiding the cords together with great strength and a very tight braid. This divine intervention was sent to repair marriages. 

The second vision was of angels sent to create a wind over marriages. I saw very dim coals in the hearts of these couple. Some of the embers of love were almost completely black. But as these angels came they began to blow upon these blackened coals with great force. Then they began to join together to use their wings as a fan. As they did this I began to see the coals turn a bright orange. They continued this until the embers of love were red hot.

Lastly, I saw a vision of angels carrying large armfuls of kindling. They had been sent to put kindling on the hot coals to cause a flame to come forth. They were rekindling these marriages. 

It reminded me of when an engine needs a spark to get everything running and moving together. They were rekindling or re-sparking the engine that had stopped working.

God is about to repair and restore marriages that appear hopeless through divine and supernatural intervention. The help that you need to cause your love for one another to “burn anew” and be reignited is on the way. Your human weakness and darkened coals of love are about to be rekindled and receive a “jump start” that will restore covenant, intimacy, strength and even passion to your marriage. Even the place of First Love with Jesus will be rekindled and reignited in this process of restoration.

It will not be by human strength that this happens but by the Spirit!

So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.

Zechariah 4:6

God is strengthening covenants that were threatened to be broken. He is restoring unity and bringing together that which the enemy separates. This will bring great strength to families and the strength of family will bring great authority to the Church once again. Family is Kingdom! Covenant is Kingdom! Unity is Kingdom! 

His Kingdom come, His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven!!
