Oceans in the Desert

“…for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.” Luke 21:15

When enemies rise up against you or against those who stand for righteousness; the Lord will fill your mouth with words and wisdom that silence your foes! Many have arisen to stand as enemies against the righteousness of God and His people who stand for righteousness.

We pray for our nation’s leaders that are standing for Biblical truth and justice. “God, fill their mouths with Your utterances and give them wisdom that their opponents cannot resist or refute.”

“Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries, And all your enemies will be cut off.” Micah 5:9

As we have seen a public display of “those who curse us and send curses against us” arise (though they have always been there); as God’s people we will posture our lives and direct our prayers according to Luke 6:28,

“…bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

We speak and declare blessings of salvation upon all those who have sent curses against God and His people and we pray mercy for them; knowing how much the Lord loves each one of them. This is the desire of the Lord,

“…not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.”

May God open the eyes of the spiritually blind and the ears of the spiritually deaf to see the beauty of His holiness. May judgement fall upon the dark forces that have deceived them and may the people be spared and come to repentance.

In 2 Chronicles 20, God’s people were facing a fierce and vast enemy that sought to displace and destroy them. Together they came before the Lord and cried out for His wisdom and His help. He answered them with these words,

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”” II Chronicles‬ ‭20:17‬ ‭

When they went out the next morning to face their enemies they announced these words,

“…Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.””

Then they appointed singers who would began to sing and “praise the beauty of His holiness.” They went out before the enemy army singing,

“Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.” II Chronicles‬ ‭20:21

As they began to sing THE LORD SET AN AMBUSH AGAINST THEIR ENEMIES and they were defeated. He filled their mouths with praise and then HE defeated their enemies.

Let us pray, let us praise and let us sing of the beauty of His holiness. Do not be afraid or dismayed as you look upon the enemies who have risen up against the God’s appointed people, for the battle belongs to the Lord!
