A Change of Clothes

By Kathi Pelton

It seems as though we are in a time where many of God’s sons and daughters are being promoted and coming forth from the shadows. It is also a time that a righteous remnant from among the nations is coming forth that will stand in unity and oneness (John 17) and see the dream of God’s heart be birthed. They are coming out of the wilderness, leaning fully upon their Beloved. This company of people from the nations will not take His glory for themselves but will steward His glory as laid down lovers.

The enemy is on high alert due to these events. He has come to accuse and resist those who are being promoted and those who are walking as this righteous remnant. His tactics are the same as always (accusation, confusion, sickness, divisions, condemnation, etc.). These assaults can leave you feeling like you’ve been in a war. I sense that this is a time like we read of in Zechariah 3 where Joshua the High Priest has been harassed by Satan and his clothes are filthy from the war. The Lord commands that the angels bring him new white garments. The Lord is bringing many of you new garments of white today. He is removing the clothes that have accusation and condemnation upon them. He is giving you His new white robe.

Stand before Him with your arms lifted and allow Him to change your clothes so that you can go forth this day with new, clean garments of His righteousness.

Zechariah 3 Amplified Bible

3 Then [the guiding angel] showed me Joshua the high priest standing before [a]the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at Joshua’s right hand to be his adversary and to accuse him.

2 And the Lord said to Satan, The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! Even the Lord, Who [now and habitually] chooses Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this [returned captive Joshua] a brand plucked out of the fire?

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the Angel [of the Lord].

4 And He spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And He said to [Joshua], Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel.

5 And I [Zechariah] said, Let them put a clean turban on his head. So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with [rich] garments. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.
