As I waited on the Lord this morning I saw three quick visions. The first was of someone receiving a kiss under mistletoe, the second was of a wishbone being broke and the large half being obtained and the third was of that long desired “carrot that is dangled before you” finally being caught and received.
I believe that the mistletoe vision represented two things. First, greater intimacy between the bride and our Bridegroom. It was like a “first kiss” that I saw and I felt that the return and restoration of First Love would come upon many.
Second, I sensed that many marriages would be healed and also, those who have longed to be married will find the one they have waited for. Of course this does not apply to “every” person but I sense it is for many.
The restoration of marriages will cause them to come into what feels like “first love” once again toward each other.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Love, intimacy and His kiss will come upon you in this season.
Many people save the wishbone of their Thanksgiving turkey in order to let their children hold the two sides of it and break it. They first make a wish and whoever gets the larger half receives their wish.
As I saw the vision of the larger half of the wishbone being obtained I felt the Spirit saying that many silent wishes (desires) are about to be answered.
You cannot break the wishbone right away as it must be dried for a time in order to be easily broken by a child. I sense that the time of waiting is coming to an end and the receiving of the desire is about to come to pass. This will break the long season of hope deferred.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
The Carrot Dangled Before You
In the third vision I saw a long road of what looked like people having a “Carrot dangled before them” and yet never receiving it. But in this vision suddenly the carrot is obtained and eaten. I sense that during this Christmas season many will finally catch that illusive carrot that feels like it’s been dangling before them.
My sense was that this carrot was placed there to move you into the position and location (spiritually and physically) that you would not have been in if you hadn’t been trying to catch this “carrot”. It has also strengthened your spiritual muscles and faith.
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”
You have been taught to persevere, your faith has been strengthened and you have not shrunk back…now you will catch the carrot!
What great news for this time where great tribulations and trials have been upon so many.
There is one last encouragement that I have for you today. As I watched the ashes of the tyrant, Fidel Castro, ushered through the streets of Cuba yesterday I immediately heard this verse,
“and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
I sense that the ashes that the enemy (the tyrant) has brought to your life will come upon him and you will receive beauty for your ashes in the days ahead. Joy for your mourning and a garland of praise for the heaviness that has weighed you down.
