The Pain is Birthing Your Promise!

~~Kathi Pelton

I want to first say that there is no shame in your pain. Pain doesn’t make you less faithful! That is a lie that the enemy loves to tell God’s people. He relentlessly comes to shame, lie and accuse especially when pain is present.

Jesus knew that His disciples would experience pain, confusion and fear when He would be put to death. He also knew that we would face pain and tribulations in this world. This is why He said,

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.””
‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬

Though we have suffering and tribulations we can take heart (have courage and be of good cheer/joy) because He has established victory over the world. The pain is real but so is the peace and hope.

This is why there is such a battle against peace. The enemy looks for vulnerable places in times of pain to come in and steal peace. Once peace is gone the warfare begins to consume the believer and trauma can begin to enter.

There is a pain that can be experienced in the midst of peace. I have seen many of God’s people go through times of pain where peace, hope and comfort remained present. This is the pain that is affective and gives birth to long awaited promises.

I believe that there are multitudes of people in a birthing process at this time. They may need “spiritual midwives” to surround them as they go through the pain of transition. This is truly a time to surround those who you recognize are experiencing pain as they labor to birth the promise that they are carrying. Speak courage, hold their hand, comfort them and let them know that they will make it.

I keep seeing Hannah giving birth to her promised son, Samuel. Even in birthing the promise there can be pain. This is a time that I see many giving birth to what they have asked and pleaded for.

The name Samuel means “Asked of God, Heard by God”. The name Hannah means “favor“. It is the favor of God that is bringing forth what has been asked for.

You will make it and you will receive what you have asked for. Your Samuel will come forth and the time of pain will end.

I pray that you will experience peace and comfort in the midst of your pain. May the peace of God guard your mind and heart.

We are in need at this time of a breakthrough for the property that we lease. We have a weekly house of prayer here and are planting a church called, “Dwell”. This is both our ministry base and our home.  We must purchase the land or vacate by May 15th. We believe that God has said that this is our land and home. Please pray with us for a supernatural miracle to purchase the land.

Thank you!!!
