This morning I was watching the morning weather report (which was calling for gray skies) and I heard the Spirit sing these words,
“Gray skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face.”
Angel Armies Pushing Back the Darkness
It’s been a long season with many gray skies for many but the Spirit of the Lord is forecasting that clear skies are coming. Angel armies have been busy battling back the darkness that has come against you. I see in my spirit the darkness being pushed back rapidly which will clear the spiritual atmosphere.
The prayers of the saints, the faith of God’s people, the pioneering voice of the prophets and the songs of praise from the worshippers have become a part of this great force that is defeating the darkness that had been sent to overwhelm and overtake God’s people.
Just like so many major sporting events we’ve seen this past year; though God’s people were knocked down and it appeared that they would be defeated, SUDDENLY they rose up in the strength of the Lord and are taking the victory by declaring His truth.
There is a line in the song that the Spirit was singing (from “Put On a Happy Face”) that says,
“Wipe off that ‘full of doubt’ look,
Slap on a happy grin!”
Doubt has been a fierce assignment! It has been so fierce that even the most confident in the Lord struggled with doubt as the darkness descended upon them. But now is the time to wipe off the “full of doubt” look and put on a happy grin!
Though the April showers continue outside the spiritual skies are clearing up. May flowers are springing up and it is time to put on a happy face.
Behind the Scenes
As I saw the darkness pushed back it became like a veil or a stage curtain being opened. As the enemy has been busy battling against God’s people, God has been behind the scenes or behind this “veil of darkness” setting the stage for miracles, victories, breakthroughs and liberty for the captives and those who have been exiled into this darkness.
I have daily been hearing Psalm 126 throughout the month of April. I love the way the Message Bible translates this Psalm. It fits so well with the song, “Put On a Happy Face.”
“It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when GOD returned Zion’s exiles. We laughed, we sang, we couldn’t believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations— “ GOD was wonderful to them!” GOD was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.
And now, GOD, do it again— bring rains to our drought-stricken lives So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.”
Psalm 126:1-6 MSG
It’s Time to Laugh!
The other day I was out with my youngest daughter as we were “spying out a new land” together. It had been a long, rainy day when we decided to stop for dinner before our drive home. We parked the car and without warning we suddenly broke out in laughter. We laughed and laughed…uncontrollably! There was no reason for our hysterics but the laughter could not be contained.
It was like a dam opening up and a flood of laughter erupted and poured forth.
Psalm 126:2 “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
Though a time of weeping has been upon many, a time of laughter and joy is coming.
““Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.””
We are about to see waves of laughter descend upon corporate meetings like never before. Laughter will break the power of the grip of grief that has taken hold of many. Though skeptics may not understand, this laughter will be like Heavenly medicine that heals heavy hearts, breaks this grip of grief, resets emotions and heals trauma.
These waves of laughter that will overtake meetings, family times and corporate gatherings will reverse assignments sent upon many to steal, kill and destroy them.
In these waves of laughter bodies will be healed, bitter waters will be made sweet again, relationships will be healed, mental and emotional disorders will come into God’s divine order and prodigals will come home.
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.”
It’s time to put on a happy face!
