The phrase, “Jesus, You are my portion.” has been on my tongue when I worship continually this past month. I was saying it again today when I suddenly realized that when I say these words I picture in my mind a “portion sized serving” of a meal. But if Jesus is our portion then our portion is limitless!
“My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.”
Psalms 73:26, 28 NKJV
Our Portion is eternal (timeless), sovereign, magnificent and limitless in His love and power.
Everything belongs to the Lord therefore when we come into the unity of the Godhead (John 17:21-23) we also come into the authority, inheritance and ownership of all that is His.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.”
Psalms 24:1
Every Heavenly and Earthly resource belongs to you because you belong to the Lord. We are not beggars in a world owned by an enemy but we are sons and daughters of the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He owns it all!
Resources are yours, lands and homes are yours and favor is yours!
Our family and ministry is in the midst of what appears to be a huge transition. I found myself feeling anxious one night regarding where we will live and I heard the verse from Psalm 24:1. I realized once again that the deed to ever piece of land and every home belongs to the Lord.
My faith soared at the thought and truth of this mystery. We are not limited to what our eyes see but we wear a signet ring of authority that bears His name. We have authority to see resources transferred, lands purchased, decrees made and protection given.
This truth should immediately launch your into faith (assurance) of living in Ephesians 3:20,
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20
Our God, who is our portion, is mighty in power, IS ABLE!! Do not put your faith out for a “single serve portion” but for the portion that is “infinitely more than you can ask or think”.
Psalm 24 goes on to say,
“Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.”
Psalms 24:7
May the King of glory enter the gates of your thoughts, your heart, your family and your life. Ask the King of glory to come into the realm of your faith to expand it and align it with His might and power. Our plumb line is our God and His Kingdom. There is weight and authority as we align our lives with the Heavenly plumb line.
Step into truth and out of the lies that align your life with less than you can ask or Imagine. It is time for you to eat the portion of Ephesians 3:20.
