Are you facing a storm? If you are in one of life’s storms then you know that the first thing that is experienced is fear and doubts. Will I survive? Will I be rescued? Will I experience loss?
But there is an eye of the storm that is crossed into called the “threshold of hope”. Hope is the doorway to this eye of the storm. Hope will open the way to experience peace, intimacy and safety.
When fear and doubts hit your soul through unexpected storms that threaten the most precious things in life, it is then that you must grab hold of the hope that lays before you in Christ. He promises to never leave you or forsake you, He promises to prosper and not harm you and He promises to deliver you from all of your troubles.
The Bible speaks of being “prisoners of hope” Zechariah 9:12,
“Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.”
Zechariah 9:12
This “prison of hope” is actually a stronghold of refuge, promise and safety. In this secret place, where the storm around you is calmed (and you are calmed), there is a promise of a double portion restoration for all of your troubles.
Do not stay in the midst of the wind and waves but cross over through the doorway of hope to the fortress of peace and promise.
He waits to calm you and reassure you with His love.
