Oceans in the Desert

For those of you who faithfully read my writings, you know that I have been hearing the Spirit of the Lord speak words from Psalm 126 to me for about a month now. Once again I awoke on this new day in May hearing a portion of this verse,

“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.”

Psalm 126:5-6

As I meditated on these two verses once again the portion that says, “Those who go out weeping, carrying seeds to sow…” stood out to me. I immediately became aware of the pleasure of the Lord that is released as His sons and daughters choose to sow in the midst of their tears. I could feel how proud He is of His children who are pushing past their personal pain to sow seeds of worship, obedience, truth, finances, encouragement and honor.

Though many of these precious ones have slept upon pillows soaked with their own tears, they still awaken and make a choice to sow seeds that bring honor and pleasure to the heart of God. They know that He alone is worthy of all honor, even in the midst of their personal pain. 

The enemy may be working overtime to cause shame and pain but God has a promise for you,

“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”

Isaiah 61:7

What appears now to be losses will soon prove to be your moment of multiplication. Many prophetic voices are hearing the words, “Double for your troubles” and I believe this to be true. Negatives will soon be positives and not only positives but multiplications.

Hold onto hope! Though hope may feel like a “long shot” in the midst of your circumstances and pain…still, hold onto hope. 

“Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.”

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9:12‬ 

Often the longer a breakthrough takes to manifest the better it will be. I believe that many will experience their double portion breakthrough in the month of May. I specifically sense that this month is an open door that enters the body of Christ into a time of many breakthroughs. The summer months will be marked by miracles and remembered as the “summer of miracles”. 

Though tears of pain may be falling, joy will come and tears of joy will soon stain your cheeks. You will stand in awe as you witness the love and goodness of God. Your tears in the midst of faith and hope have fallen and watered the seeds you have sown. Songs of joy will soon be sung.
