Yesterday in my article “Come As You Are” I told a story about my son prophesying at four years old that resulted in a man’s life being turned over to Jesus. Now that son is an adult and has a four year old son.
His family is moving from where we live on the West Coast to the East Coast (New York) today. As a mom and grandma my heart has been breaking just a little bit as we prepare to see them fly off this evening. My four year old grandson has been spending the week with us and the night before last (while cuddling me at bedtime) he suddenly made his two hands into the shape of a butterfly and then pulled them apart. Then He said,
“Gamma, your heart is breaking like a butterfly that is being pulled apart but Jesus will put it back together.”
Then He patted me gently and finished with,
“It will be okay.”
Now our little Jamie (that’s his name) really doesn’t understand that they are moving far away or how sad I am to see them go. We have tried to keep it a very happy time since we just moved and they are moving too. As he spoke these words they not only touched my heart so deeply but I felt the Spirit say,
“In the days ahead it will be normal for the sons and daughters that are emerging to hear My voice and prophesy. They will hear and prophesy with great purity. Hearts will be changed as sons and daughters prophesy.”
I believe that babies will speak with other tongues, toddlers will prophesy, young children will lay hands on the sick and they will recover!
“In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together; the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all.”
Isaiah 11:6
There is a calling out in by the Spirit to the “child” in each of us. We do not want to ever loose the purity of childlike faith, of childlike words that speak truth and the experience of childlike joy. Children will lay hands on the “mature” and it will awaken the child of God that moves with purity and joy. His sons and daughters will prophesy freely.
You will find yourself walking down the street or in a grocery store and compassion will come upon you for the person nearby and fearlessly you will prophesy and comfort the deepest cries of their hearts. It will be as natural as saying hello.
This is part of the new season that will yield such a great harvest. The love of God will flow so freely and with such purity that fear will flee causing love to flow.
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.”
1 John 4:18
Dreams, visions and words that bring life will be increasing with a greater clarity, understanding and accuracy. Even the lost will have dreams and encounters that bring their whole families to Christ.
We are about to see the greatest move of God come upon the children and the childlike once again.
…But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
