The ruler of this world seeks who he might destroy but Jesus came to give us life…abundant life. Jesus also came to take us from darkness to His glorious light and truth.
Over the past number of days I continue to hear the words in my spirit,
“I am removing every shade of grey from the lives of My people. My grace will wash away the grey and bring refined beauty to My bride.”
When Jesus was coming to the end of His Earthly journey He spoke these words,
““I don’t have much more time to talk to you, because the ruler of this world approaches. He has no power over me, but I will do what the Father requires of me, so that the world will know that I love the Father. Come, let’s be going.”
John 14:30-31
We are in Christ and it is His righteousness that covers all of our unrighteousness. It is the great grace, that He alone purchased for us, that covers and forgives every place of compromise and sin in our lives. Yet that same grace that covers us also gives us the gift of repentance that removes every shade of grey (compromise and darkness) that hides the beauty of whose identity we were created to reveal.
“Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?”
Romans 6:1-3
God is removing the places in our lives that gives the ruler of this world a foothold and cast shadows upon the true revelation of the love and face of God.
I hear the Spirit saying that this is a time that the deep buried roots of bondage and captivity are now being revealed and removed so that the hidden treasures of His glory that will be revealed will not be spoiled.
This is a work of grace! Human strength and even self-evaluation cannot accomplish this work but the power and might of the Advocate (the Holy Spirit) within us is bringing freedom from all that has encumbered us and enslaved us to a heavy yoke.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.”
Galatians 5:1
The Father longs to see His people free. He has heard every prayer that cries out for freedom from the places that weighs them down and keeps them in entangled in darkness. He has been refining and aligning His people. As they have responded to this work it has removed blockages that now are allowing the “tap roots” to be removed. This will bring great freedom and joy.
It truly is His kindness and the riches of His love that brings us to the place of repentance and freedom (Romans 2:4). How merciful He is! How patient He is! How deep is His love for us!
Rest fully in the gift of grace and allow the Holy Spirit to do this sovereign work in your life. Rest and grace is the divine anesthesia needed for the spiritual surgery that removes the deep roots that have caused “shades of grey” in your life.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”
