In our family we have two birthdays in one week. The birthdays are for our youngest daughter’s and her husband. They are both “Rainbow Babies“. This term is used for babies born following the death of a baby. I have been having this term “Rainbow Babies” on my heart all month.
We have two “rainbow babies” in our home with birthdays that complete the month of June and introduce the month of July (one birthday on June 23 and one on July 1). As the Spirit of the Lord has highlighted their birthdays this year, it represents a double rainbow and double portion that is being released at time.
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”
Isaiah 61:7
I was sharing this with a global team that I am a part of when one of the men sent me a photo of a double rainbow that was over him today.
Though it has felt to many that the promise over their lives have died, the time of grief is coming to an end. The grief that has gripped many hearts and lives that was accompanied by disappointments and despair will now be broken off and great joy and double portion promises will be manifest in lives.
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.””
Isaiah 61:2-3
Your light is breaking forth from the time of rain, storms and grey skies. A double rainbow is being revealed in July and restoring beauty, joy and praise.
You will wonder if you are merely dreaming!
My rainbow baby’s names are Amy and Luke. Amy’s name means “Beloved” and Luke’s name means “Bearer of Light“. Beloved, your light is now coming forth creating your double rainbow. You will carry (bear) light and a double portion promise…your dreams are being birthed!
This will be your declaration of praise,
“When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.”
Psalms 126:1-3
Joy and laughter will come and fill your mouth! For the Lord has and will do great things for you! Your feet will dance again, your heart will dream again, you will flourish like the blossoming of flowers in summer’s light.
Jump up and celebrate! Your promise has been doubled!
