Oceans in the Desert

There is something that is happening that is far beyond the surface breakthroughs that many have been seeking. It is the true “above and beyond all that we can ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20) that will leave us speechless because the “Awe of I Am” will come upon His people and words will fail to express what is happening.

The natural breakthroughs that are desired will come in the midst of this “Awe” but it won’t be what His people rejoice in because we will rejoice in His majesty, goodness and purity as the One who makes us one.

The great I Am will come into worship gatherings, He will come into home groups, He will come into conferences and He will come where families gather. He will come with His breath and get face to face with His people and awe will fill the place. Awe will come with such a weighty presence that no one will be able to speak. The only sounds heard will be the “sounds of the deep”. This sound will heal, deliver and open up portals from Heaven to Earth. 

Heaven will come to Earth and the things of this Earth will become strangely dim. No longer will His people strive to seek first the Kingdom because the Kingdom will be more clear than the Earthly things. The breath of God will give new life and His sons and daughters will run and not be weary because we will run with the breath of God in our lungs. We will run after the “Awe of God”.

Courage, strength and surrender will come forth to take us where we never thought we’d go and to do what we never thought we’d do. Not by any human strength but by the glory that has descended upon His faithful ones. This awe will come like a glory cloud that ends a spiritual drought. “Let it rain!” 

I heard the verse from Song of Solomon 8, 

“Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All the wealth of his house, It would be utterly despised.”

“Lord, set us as a seal upon your heart. Put your fire in us until we are utterly consumed with your love and righteousness. Then whether we go to the nations or to our local grocery store we will go with Your Holy fire that ignites every place we step with Your consuming love.”

The greatest desire of His people will be for His glory (His awesome presence). A Holy addiction for His glory and living in the place of awe will replace every other desire (and addictions). As this happens every Earthly thing that you need will be added to you. Worry will cease as Awe descends upon your life. Strife will cease, divisions and offenses will fall away, depression and trauma will leave your life as His breath comes upon you. The taste and desire for sin will fall away and be replaced for the hunger for His beauty. Your will pursue His face more than anything else. It will consume you. 

“Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED.”
