I saw a vision of God's people laying their crowns before Him in humility and praise. As they continued in this posture, humbly learning His ways and character, suddenly I saw the Lord pick up these crowns. As He held each one His overcoming victory and authority was imparted to each crown. Then He placed them upon the heads of His people; crowning them with His victory and authority. Then I heard the verses from Psalm 149:4-5,
“For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.”
Psalm 149:4-5
He crowns the humble with victory! Isn't this an amazing truth? As we humble ourselves to receive His wisdom and His ways we receive this remarkable honor. As we lay down our crowns before Him so that He alone receives the glory and honor, He turns and crowns us with victory.
Where many have experienced a long season of laying their heads down upon their bed in grief and anxiety, now they will receive the crown of victory that causes them to sing for joy as they go to bed at night.
Many of you have learned within the storm to enter into joy as you've humbled yourself in the posture of absolute trust before your King. This place of trust has brought joy and peace to you even as the winds have blown. Now the King is crowning you with victory over the storm that was sent against you.
I hear the words and declaration of the Lord over your life that say,
"I am securing your victory!"
Where you have had advancements and some forward movement toward victory, now God will fully secure the victory that is needed. The victory belongs to the Lord and He is crowning you with it.
You will lay your head down with songs of joy in your heart and you will awaken with shouts of victory in your mouth.
“I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. Arise, O Lord! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked! Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. Interlude”
Psalms 3:5-8
Humility is a key posture for all victory. We submit and yield to the One who hold all victory in His hands.
