I awoke this morning with a strong alert in my spirit to ask everyone that sees this post to pray with me for the United States of America. God is asking for His people throughout the world to pray. Please share this and join in with the prayer below.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
“Heavenly Father, we come before you in humility and gratitude for your mercy. We thank you that you are a God of justice and mercy, kindness and forgiveness, patience and love. There is no one like you.
We now bow before you in reverence and humility to pray for the United States of America. The enemy has brought great division in a nation that you have created to be united. The ‘god of this world’ has blinded the eyes of our citizens from seeing your glorious light and their minds from hearing the truth of your great love and grace (2 Cor. 4:4). Luke 10:19-20 says that we have been given authority over all the power of the enemy, therefore according to your Word we take authority over the darkness that is blinding the eyes of the people who are calling evil good and good evil. We take authority over the darkness that has divided our nation and spread hate throughout the streets and cities. We take authority over every spirit that is blinding eyes, minds and hearts of the people from receiving your love and salvation.
Now we pray and decree the light of God to be shed upon all darkness that the god of this world has spread. We speak forth the love of God to flow like a mighty river through every highway and byway, through every neighborhood and every home, through every heart and life. We pray that eyes will be opened so that people will turn from darkness to light. May Your love wash away the hate, division and deceptions that have cast a shadow over this nation.
As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we stand on behalf of the United States of America and we repent for turning away from you. We repent and ask forgiveness for the sins of the nation and for calling what is evil good and what is good evil. We declare that you alone are God and you alone can save us. We ask for your standard to be raised over the United States of America and for the fear of the to be that standard.
We pray for protection and divine wisdom to be upon the nation’s leaders. Send angle armies to assist them and to deal with the principalities that war against your truth, light and salvation. We pray for the body of Christ in the nation to know the steps that you have laid out before them to see the nation turn back to you. We ask that the violence would cease, divisions and racism would halt and that reformation would come upon this nation.
We declare the words that are inscribed upon our currency, “In God We Trust”. We trust you God and pray that you will have the inheritance that belongs to you throughout the United States. You took the sins of this nation upon you shoulders, therefore we receive your forgiveness and plead the blood of Jesus over the United States. May your name be made glorious in our streets, cities and states.
Now, may the depth, heights and width of your amazing love be made known to the people in this great nation and may we, in turn, love the nations of the world with your limitless love and be a blessing to Israel and to the nations.
We pray all of this in the mighty and marvelous name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ. Not by might, not by power but by Your Spirit we declare all of these things.
