A couple of weeks ago I was spending time in prayer with my husband. He began to pray over the pain that I have been experiencing in my body (we had a car accident 18 months ago that I still have injuries from). After he prayed I began to declare something that was truly from the Spirit. I said,
“My body will not be a reason for accusation against my God and His true nature!”
As the words came forth from my mouth I went into a revelation that opened up a new level of understanding to me. No longer was my healing merely about pain relief but rather the more important thing was that NO area of my life would be used to bring accusations against my God. My body and my life will be a testimony of His faithfulness, His character, His purity and the stripes He bore for my healing.
Then this revelation began to expand to how we live as His sons and daughters. The Spirit spoke to me saying,
“I am purifying My people from the acts and words that are done in secret and behind closed doors that man does not see but that the enemy uses to mock Me with. I am purifying My sons and daughters and separating the precious from the worthless in their lives.”
There was no harshness or anger in His voice but there was a jealous love that carried the weight of the seriousness that only a Father can have. It was like when a parent sees their teenager doing something that will bring great harm to their life and they speak to them in a way that brings them to their senses.
This word that I’m writing is not to bring guilt or condemnation to anyone but rather to draw us into the kindness of God that leads us to repentance.
There is nothing done in secret that is not seen by God or by the “god of this world”. Our righteousness is given to us freely by the righteousness and grace of Jesus Christ but the authority that we walk in can be compromised by acts of compromise. The enemy uses profane words spoken, judgements, perversion and even the misuse of time and money to accuse our God.
Again, this is not a word of condemnation but a word of truth that we all must embrace. The refiners fire comes to purify so that the enemy has no place within us or accusation against us. God desires for His sons and daughter to reap a bountiful harvest. He desires to see us prosper and reap blessings. He is purifying His people so that they will reap the rewards of righteousness.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”
Galatians 6:7
God is the Gardner who prunes all unfruitful branches from our lives so that we may bear fruit (John 15:2). He desires us to bear fruit and for that fruit to multiply again and again. He desires for His people to reap the benefits of all He has promised and the fruitfulness that comes as we yield our lives to His pruning and refining.
This is a time where corporate authority is needed to defeat a great assignment that is being battled in the heavenly realms that is designed to accuse and mock God and His Church. Corporate authority comes out of corporate refinement and alignment. Just as we see in a family; one member can affect all, so it is true in the family of God.
This truly is a word of encouragement. Repentance is the kindest gift ever given because it is where freedom is given and lasting change is secured. Repentance is the starting line of where we begin to reap blessings.
Let us no longer see repentance as a word that we run from in guilt but a gift we receive from the kindness of God. It is our hope and our invitation into fruitfulness. It is where the separation that sin erects is removed so that we are drawn near to the One our hearts love.
May our lives be a testimony of the beauty of God and of His true nature (character). May we represent Him well and not allow any place in our lives to be the source or evidence that brings accusation against our precious God.
Psalm 139 is a prayer that is often on my lips. It ends with these words,
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalms 139:23-24
Oh how He loves you and me!
