He Is With You!

He Is With You
Kathi Pelton

As I sat down this morning to spend time with the Lord, I heard his quiet whisper say, “I am with you.”

This was such a sweet reminder and comfort because I am currently dealing with Covid-19. Though I was not feeling fear or any distance from my Father— the tender whisper was like a kiss on top of my head that brought peace and comfort.

Then I began to think of all the people that may be facing things without a warm home and loving family around them. I thought of His sons and daughters who are vulnerable and who might be fearful regarding something that they are facing. So, I wanted to just stop and take the time to write to you and tell you, “He is with you!”

Psalm 34:18 assures us that, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

You are never alone and he is never far from you. He is there to help you and strengthen you. He loves you so very much.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Fear can create a false sense of being abandoned or being without help but no matter what you feel— HE IS WITH YOU!

There are times that my soul (feelings/thoughts) try to take control and I have to speak to it and remind it to trust in the Lord. King David had to do this as well. In Psalm 43:5 he says,

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”

Earlier this year, my precious brother died of complications from Covid. During his time in the hospital we would text each other back and forth (he was unable to talk on the phone due to his low oxygen). Almost every time he would text me and say, “Just praise Him.” or “Worship Him, for He is worthy.” He was reminding his soul and my soul to praise Him in the midst of the storm and in the midst of the battle for his life. I believe that he left this earth praising the One who he put his trust in. That trust carried him home to the arms of Jesus.

I will conclude with this— NOTHING can or ever will separate you from the love of God! He is with you now and forevermore. If your trust is in Him then you have a reason to praise.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Not even death can separate you! Nothing! He wants you to hear His whisper today that says,

“I am with you— always!”

  2. What a great timely word! Thank you Kathi! I needed this as I’m facing financial difficulties and seeking God. Yesterday was a tough day. I’ve had the amazing peace of Jesus til then. I started having those negative feelings. Feeling alone because I don’t have family/friends with me. But God! Today is a new day and I feel revived and encouraged by my Father’s heart of love and this mighty word of truth!
