Your Red Sea Trembles At God’s Power

By Kathi Pelton

Some of you who are reading this are even now facing your own personal “Red Sea” experience. Your need for God’s miraculous intervention can only be compared to when the children of Israel stood before the Red Sea with no natural way to go forward and the Egyptian army approached behind.

Yet, Psalm 77:16 says this,

“When the Red Sea saw you, O God, its waters looked and trembled!”

As you cry out to the Lord and invite him into your problem that is too big for you to overcome— watch as the very thing that is blocking your way begins to tremble at the sight of God coming to your aid. It may not be a sea that will tremble in fear— but whatever it is will recognize the power and might of the great I Am— and it will tremble.

Although, the Red Sea did not part to allow God’s people to cross over until Moses exercised his faith by touching it with the staff that God had provided for him.

You are not without a staff— your faith and your authority in Christ is your staff. You can touch the waters of adversity that lay before you with your faith and authority in Christ Jesus. Remember, that need or impossible situation before you is already trembling as you call upon his name and remember the mighty deeds he has done in times past.

“But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.” Psalm 77:11

Then Psalm 77:15 goes on to say,

“By your strong arm, you redeemed your people…”

His arm is not too short to redeem you. His arm is not too weak to deliver you. And his arm is not too distant to reach you.

YOUR RED SEA IS ALREADY TREMBLING!

Now take the staff of your faith and touch that sea. It is time to see the arm of the Lord redeem you!
