Thank You For Praying For My Brother

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful friends who follow my blog for praying for my brother, Bobby. As most of you know, he lost his battle with Covid on January 21st. We know that his victory was gained as he looked upon the face of his beautiful Savior.

Thank you for all of the notes, cards and for the many people who wept with me and poured out prayers for his healing. We believe that his life has left a legacy that will live on in those who loved him. We already see that happening.

Our entire family traveled to Georgia last week to be with Bobby’s wife and children as we had his funeral services and celebration of life. The beauty and love we experienced was precious and deeply comforting. Though our hearts are broken, God’s presence was so healing.

Thank you once again. Please continue to pray for us— especially for his wife, Lisa. She has lost not only her husband but also her best friend.

God bless each of you!

  2. Bob’s struggle living in the limitations of the flesh is complete. Good for him though. Very sad for his wife and family.
The stress of the last few weeks/ months for the family will now become what do we do next? They will need an extended recovery time with much emotional and financial support.
This is not the kind of think you practice for…..yet here it is.
Lord, surround this family with the covering of your Presence. Bring rest, healing, sustenance, and the Power of your Spirit to this family as the next season unfolds.

    1. Thank you Phil & Linda. They will surely need prayers for comfort and strength! Thankfully they are very secure financially and Bobby had a large life insurance policy as well. They are donating all financial gifts to his ministry in Honduras.

Lisa will be lonely and surely feels like she has big shoes to fill. We told her to not try to wear his but to wear her own and walk forward. Thank you for praying.

      We love you!

  3. Hello Kathi,

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Bobby. I was praying for him not knowing that I would go through the same thing that you are experiencing.

As I read this email I felt I should let you know that my brother, whose name was also Bobby, was admitted to the hospital on 1/21 with covid and passed away on 1/23. He developed pneumonia, was put on a ventilator Friday morning, went into kidney failure and had heart failure twice on Saturday. The last one he did not recover from. All of this happened with in 2 days of being admitted to the hospital.

I will continue to pray for your family and I would appreciate your prayers for my family as well.

    Love and blessings

    Dearest Kathi
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your brother. When I look at the photo that you sent of Bobby, he exudes so much joy.
“Oh, what joy it must be when we all get to heaven. What a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus. We’ll sing and shout the victory.”

My heart goes out to his wife, Lisa, as well. His thoughts, hopes, and dreams will live on in her, and his memory will live on with you and all of those whose lives were touched by him. You are in our prayers. May you be surrounded by the healing presence of Jesus.

    Sending you love and hugs.

    1. Thank you my dear friend! Also, we just received your kind and generous gift which will help with the expenses of getting our family from across the nation to my brother’s services and to stand with his wife and children. Thank you so very much!
