Oceans in the Desert

Today my husband and I woke up to our first day as “empty nesters.” As I thought of our 33 years of raising children, I suddenly realized that we have multiplied. What was once one household is now many households that bare our name and our children’s names. As I pondered this, I suddenly heard the verses from Isaiah 54:2-3,

““Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.”

I immediately knew that this was not only a scripture for my family but for his family corporately. Then I saw in my spirit numbers multiplying— numbers in families, numbers in the family of God, numbers in bank accounts, numbers in buildings, businesses, employees and ministries. Family was the key to this multiplication— even for businesses— for as they treated and honored their employees like family they multiplied and expanded to the left and to the right.‭‭

I knew that this multiplication was not about “numbers” but it was about family and expansion! When God told Adam and Eve (in Genesis 1:28) to be fruitful and multiply, he wanted them to bring forth children and grandchildren. He also wanted them to be spiritual fruitful and multiply in all that they put their hands and hearts to. This was for all mankind and generations to come.

Throughout the Bible we see titles often come from a “family origin.” Titles such as Father, Son, children of God, daughter of the Most High, father of nations, offspring, prince and more— they all have their roots in family. God lists the genealogy of family lines throughout the Old Testiment. They all represent multiplication!

I believe that we have entered a time of multiplication— even miraculous multiplication such as when Jesus fed the 5000 with a few fish and loaves (and had twelve baskets left over at the end). God is blessing all that you have offered or given to him as a sacrifice and it is about to multiply over and over.

The Spirit spoke to me at the end of September regarding October being a month that we would begin to see increase and multiplications. I asked him for confirmation of what I was seeing and within the first days of October two of my sons received unexpected raises and promotions at their jobs— not one son but two sons (which spoke to me as “multiple”). October is a threshold where we are crossing into a time of enlarging our tents, gaining land, homes, possessing nations (by dispossessing nations), gaining family members, expansion and seeing multiplied blessings coming upon all that pertains to you.

This is a season to not be afraid of offering the little that you have to the Lord. Your fish and loaf is about to be multiplied but it must first be offered. This is a season to possess lands and a time to not “NOT HOLD BACK!” This is a time to birth naturally and spiritually. Expansion is happening— lengthen your cords and stretch your tent pegs!

Lastly, I saw in the spirit— heavenly cargo ships, like the ones lined up and waiting in Los Angeles, filled with supplies and provisions coming to bring all that you need. As you put your trust in the Lord and wait upon him— he will supply all of your needs. There is no lack!

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
