An Anna and Simeon Generation Will Arise

By Kathi Pelton

Yesterday I was praying in my hotel room when I asked the Lord, “What is on your heart!”

He led me to go look out my hotel window. I looked and outside of my window was a pre-school playground with about twenty four and five year old children playing. Then the Spirit said, “They are on my heart. Their purity, innocence and destiny.”

I watched them play and prayed for each one of them for the next ten minutes. I heard the verse from Matthew 19:14 that says,

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

I had a deep sense that the assignment against these little ones through the demonic agenda to steal their identity, their purity and their innocence had crossed a line and God was stirred, like a father who would stop at nothing to protect his young son or daughter.

An hour later I was at the church that we were speaking at and the pastor introduced us to his five year old daughter, Anna. Her beauty and her eyes caught my attention and I knew that the Lord was about to speak and I needed to be listening.

As worship began it went deep and the presence of the Lord was weighty. We began to sing the song “Show Me Your Glory” (by Jesus Culture). There is a portion of the song that has these lyrics,

I long to look on the face of the One that I love
Long to stay in Your presence, it’s where I belong
Long to look on the face of the One that I love
Long to stay in Your presence, it’s where I belong

As we sang them, I was taken by the Lord once again to see the little ones that I had prayed for earlier and then the little five year old, Anna, whose eyes had captured my attention. Then the Lord spoke these words,

“The children that are entering school for the first time this year and below, mark an Anna and Simeon generation that will see the face of God. I have given them eyes to see My face and hearts that are pure— for the pure in heart will see Me. The enemy has devised a plan to defile their hearts and deceive their minds so that they will be blinded to their destiny— to look upon the face of their Messiah.”

As you know, Anna and Simeon were the ones who stood in the temple day after day, because they knew that they would look into the face of their Messiah before their lives were through— and they did!

I knew in my spirit that the enemy touching them was where the enemy had crossed a line—

Then I saw the Lord arise like the Lion of Judah. This great Lion stood over this Anna and Simeon generation, then he opened his mouth wide and out of the depths of his throat he roared a roar never before heard. This roar was to shatter the darkness and deception off of these little ones. The sound also sent it back on the enemy and all who would touch these little ones with defilement and rendered them blind, deaf and dumb.

An Anna and Simeon generation has been birthed and they are playing in our playgrounds and entering our educational system for the first time. They are set apart as “pure” and the pure in heart will see God! They are created to look in the face of the One that they are loved by and know, that is where they belong. They will see and carry His glory.

We must arise and pray for them. We must join the roar and see the darkness and deception (perversion) shattered and their purity secured. We must pray for their hearts and minds to be kept as God intends. And we must pray over their eyes— that they will see God!
