One morning as I woke up there was a thick white fog outside my bedroom window. As I looked at it, it suddenly transformed into a blank white canvas before my eyes. Then I heard the Spirit of the Lord say to me,
“Prophesy to the blank canvas the dreams and the promises that I’ve placed in your heart and spoken over your life.”
As I began to speak out my dreams and prophesy his promises over my life, my words became like paint adding color to the white canvas. Life came upon the dreams that live in my heart. I felt the breath of God breathe upon the dreams that I prophetically painted upon this canvas.
The Lord has placed dreams in your heart and promises over your life that he wants your to prophesy and speak back to him. As you do this it is like paint that is spread over a spiritual blank canvas that is before you. Speak them out, prophesy them, imagine them and let the dreams that have been locked up be poured out before the Lord— then watch as he breaths life upon them. Let your imagination, which has been redeemed and sanctified, paint and create picture after picture of the dreams that have been carried deep within you.
This prophetic act will resurrect hope, faith and an agreement (an amen) to all that God has placed within you. It will bring vision and clarity to your spiritual eyes. It will bring joy to your steps and it will clear the fog that has been around you.
I remember hearing a story many years ago of an evangelist who would lay on his bed and dream of standing before thousands of people and seeing them healed, saved, and delivered. He practiced dreaming with God daily and allowing his imagination to become a canvas that God breathed upon and brought the dreams to life. Those dreams became his reality.
You can dream your tomorrow. As you dream with God it will stir up the gift of faith within you and begin to paint the blank canvas that is before you. The fog that many live, clouding and blocking vision for their future, often exists merely because they have not practiced active dreaming or prophesying the promises of God over their lives. They accept the lack of vision or blank canvas rather than partnering with God’s creativity.
So many people get stuck in hope deferred or in the waiting (which is often God’s preparation time) that they become like a car in neutral— just idling and going nowhere. There is active waiting that partners with God’s preparation to fulfill the dreams and promises. A part of that active waiting is to speak over them, pray them, prophesy them and take the steps that God shows you to move toward them.
“May he give you what you desire and make all your plans succeed.” Psalm 20:4
Today begin to make a new habit of dreaming with God. Pour out your dreams before him like paint upon a blank canvas and watch them become your reality and watch clear vision replace the fog.
It is time for Ephesians 3:20-21 to become your testimony!
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
