The enemy is always trying to convince God’s people that He is distant or “aloof” from your life and the circumstances that surround you.
Aloof means to be not friendly or forthcoming; cool and distant. It also means to be detached, unfriendly, antisocial, unsociable, avoidant, remote, unapproachable, formal, stiff, withdrawn, reserved, unforthcoming, uncommunicative, unsympathetic. Do these accusations against God’s interaction in your life sound familiar?
The Lord says to you,
“I am not aloof from you! I am closer than you will ever imagine or comprehend. I am deeply affectionate toward you, aware of every thought you think, every tear you cry, every need, every desire and every fear that you have. Your fear that I am distant is a false fear— I could not be any closer. Do not fear for I am with you always.”
When God speaks such a loving and reassuring message I really don’t need to add to it. He is there for you and there with you. He cares and loves you so deeply. So much that He gave His life for you.
May you feel His nearness and His tangible presence this day. Perfect love truly does cast out all fears. We are deeply loved!
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5b-6
