I am a glass-half-full kind of person. I rarely focus too long on what the enemy is doing but prefer to find out what God is doing and keep my eyes fixed there. But sometimes the enemy overplays his hand and you have to pay attention and say, “What’s up God?”
I hear the Lord saying, “I’m turning the tables that the enemy has set up in the lives of My people and My Church— they are called to be My Father’s House— a house of prayer.”
God has come into your temple to overturn the tables that demons have set up. He is driving out every voice and assignment (table) raised up and set up against you.
You are experiencing the turning of tables in your life! It is time for accusations to be silenced, for the spirit of heaviness to be lifted, for physical infirmity to be broken off of your body and for demonic assignments sent against you to be broken. The thief and robber must leave your temple because abundant life is your destiny and promise. Your life and His church is not to be a staging area for demonic assignments.
You are His temple and you are called to be a house of prayer. The enemy fears your prayers, your praise and your authority in Christ. He has tried to set up scenarios (tables) in your life to stop the flow of prayer and praise. These come in the way of distractions, harassments, strongholds and accusations. But the Lord is entering and he is driving out every thief in your life. Don’t be afraid of the momentary chaos— order is about to come. This is both for individuals and His corporate church.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem and the temple in Matthew 21 and overturned the tables, we read (beginning in verse 14) that immediately proceeding the clearing out of the thieves that the blind and lame come into the temple and He heals them. I believe that the Lord is clearing the way for a great outpouring of healing to come into our lives and His house. Our prayers will heal the lame and our praise will open the eyes of the blind. But the Lord first had to overturn the tables of the thief that have been thwarting prayer and purity.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,” Luke 4:18
It is time to see the tables turn and see God glorified in every place that the enemy has touched your life and the life of His Church. His house will be a house of prayer.
“…for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:7
Ask the Lord to clear every table that the enemy has set up in your life and to drive out every thief. Ask Him to restore you to be a temple of prayer and honor. Sometimes there has to be a moment of chaos and overturning to see restoration established. Do not be overwhelmed or discouraged— you are not being evicted from His presence— it’s your enemy is that is being forced out.
Grief is being driven out and trauma is being driven out with the thieves— every curse is being broken. Healing is about to be poured out without measure!
