On the first day of October— 10/01, I awoke to see the date 10/01 and immediately saw the 01 do a turnaround and it became a 10. The date then read 10/10 and I knew the Lord was showing me something from John 10:10.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
As I saw this it turnaround of the number 01 to 10, it appeared more like the 01 was upon a glass swinging door and as it swung open in then appeared as a 10.
In my part of the world (North America), October is the time of seeing the trees lose their leaves— Autumn has come. I hear in my spirit that it is a time of turnaround and the marking of a new season. The old is being shed for the sake of making room for the new. A swinging doorway into something new.
“Swing wide the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.” Psalm 118:19-20
The ground is about to be covered in the colorful red Autumn leaves and it is as though the Lord is saying,
“What has been in your past season will fall away and become a red carpet to lead you into what will be. It is a red carpet that leads you to the doorway of protection, provision and his presence.”
Your Father in Heaven is inviting you to come through the door of His Son to find protection from the devourer and abundant life forever more.
In the Bible this verse is written in red letters because they are words directly from the mouth of our Savior. He has laid a red carpet of promise for you to walk upon— it is a promise that you will walk in the path of abundant life.
In John 10, Jesus goes on to talk about how he is our good shepherd. He is the good shepherd that lays down his life for his sheep. He compares it to a “hired hand” who will flee when a wolf approaches the sheep because he’s been hired to watch over them and yet he cares nothing for the sheep— only for the pay he is receiving. But Jesus is not that way! He will not leave the sheep to be devoured by the wolves that come to destroy the lives of those he has come to shepherd. He lays his life down to give them abundant life because he loves the ones that he is watching over.
Some of you have felt like you have been under the watch of a hired hand that will abandon you when peril or danger approaches your life. But Jesus is the door that brings you into safety, green pastures and abundant life— enter in through him. His word has made a pathway, even a red carpet, to lead you to his fold. When you came to Christ you came into his pasture (his fold). Yet some of you have continued to believed that you are still under the watch of a shepherd that will abandon you when danger approaches.
“So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:7-9
Do not continue to listen to the threats of the thieves and robbers. They will tell you that you are abandoned, that you will be robbed of everything, that there is no door of escape. They lie! Jesus is speaking even now to you saying, “Here I am! I am your door. Enter into my truth, for you will be saved and find safe pasture.”
There is a turnaround for you today and throughout October. Go through the door of 10/01 to your 10:10 promise.
October will be a month of entering into the green pastures of the Good Shepherd for many of you. You will leave belief that you are in the fold of the hired hand. This is an orphan spirit and a belief that you will be abandoned. You are to now go through the door of Jesus to come into the spirit of adoption and the promise he gives of abundant life. Your beliefs are being swung around from believing that you are an orphan to knowing that you are a son or daughter— this is ushering you into the Good Shepherd’s fold and pasture. You will not listen to the voice of the thief any longer.
By faith you will enter fully through the door of Christ into the fold of the Good Shepherd. Reject the belief that you are about to lose everything and be devoured— for that is the voice of the thief. Receive and accept the promise of Jesus that you will be saved and brought into his pasture and safety. Listen only to his voice and reject any other voice.
Go through the door of Christ to the place that you have already been given. Turn your ear to his voice and believe his promise over your life. You will be saved from the thief!
