This morning I was praying for someone who had asked me for prayer regarding a situation in their life. As I prayed I had a vision of a vehicle that was sitting at a traffic light that had turned red. This red light stayed that way for an extended period of time. I could feel the frustration that the occupants of this car felt because they knew that the Lord had told them to go on this journey but this red light was preventing them from forward movement. It felt like a waste of both gas (resource) and time. Then, as just as they were about to give up, turn around and return to the place that they had started the LIGHT TURNED GREEN!
As this vision ended I immediately sensed that this was not only a vision for the person that I was praying for but a vision for many in the body of Christ at this time. You may know that the Lord told you to “get up and go” and you obeyed. But you have been stopped from going forward by not having the green light to cross over this intersection onto this new road. You have been frustrated and ready to turn around and go back to where you began. Know that your journey is about to continue and you will accelerate once again.
Does this sound familiar? In Exodus 14 recounts the story of when Moses led God’s people out of Egypt and right after leaving their place of slavery they found themselves unable to go back (due to the vast army that was at their backs) and unable to go forward (due to the Red Sea that stood before them).
In verses 13-15 we read these words,
13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
Many have been in a state of frustration and complaining about the army behind them and the sea that is before them but God is about to part the waters before you and allow you to cross over. Your green light is about to shine bright before your eyes. Do not be afraid! God will accomplish for you what you cannot accomplish for yourself. It is the Lord who will fight for you. Hold your peace. Peace is your “eye of the storm”. You have a choice to either spend these moments in frustration and unbelief or in a posture of believing what the Lord has spoken to you where you will remain in peace.
Do not look back but remain looking forward and get ready to go. Your green light (your dry land) is about to shine forth giving you permission to go forth. Shake off fear and frustration and begin to rejoice that your God is fighting for you; your miracle is coming!
