Your Captivity is Over!

Kathi Pelton

We are in a time that the Spirit of the Lord is very intentional about setting the captives free. No matter how big or seemingly small the captivity is in your life; God is doing a deep work in order to set you free. Captivity binds people to chains of slavery and Jesus came to set captives free.

You are about to move from a place of captivity to a state of being captivated by Jesus. The enemy holds people captive in order to keep them from being captivated by Christ and Christ alone. You will be captivated by His beauty, by His love, and by the way He moves.

There is a divine exchange happening now where we can exchange the captivity of depression, the captivity of sin, the captivity of unbelief and the captivity of oppression for being captivated with Jesus.

““The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,” Luke‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭

I proclaim to you today, in the fourth month of 2018 the Word of the Lord from Luke 4:18; that you will be set free from your captivity so that you can be captivated with Christ! The Spirit of the Lord will rest upon you and you will be the living message of the “good news”. Your freedom will result in the freedom for many as they see the One that you have become captivated by. Their blind eyes will open and they too will look upon His beauty and their chains will fall away.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭

God is breaking off the heavy yoke (chain) of slavery that was put upon you by the spirits of this world. He is placing upon you a garment of grace that ushers you into His light and easy burden and that opens your eyes to see Him as He is. Stand firm Beloved! Do not allow old spirits that gripped and chained you in the past come back upon you. You are a son and not a slave!

The religious spirit seeks to devour intimacy, the orphan spirit seeks to devour sonship, the poverty spirit seeks to devour inheritance and every anti-Christ spirit will surely devour being captivated by the beauty of Jesus! Shake yourself free from every entanglement with these spirits; bind yourself to the Holy Spirit who will draw you into all of the abundant blessings reserved for those who put their hope in God.

Get ready to be free and to be captivated by a beauty that you never before imagined. This is the day of freedom…the year of the Lord where His Spirit is the only spirit that is upon you. Every other spirit is broken and you are free!

It’s Time to Be Free From All Condemnation!

Kathi Pelton

I have become deeply aware of how many believers are plagued by feelings of condemnation and fear. It truly is like a demonic plague. God has especially been highlighting the condemnation that many of His sons and daughters go through that is separating them from intimacy and true relationship with Him. This goes hand in hand with fear…the fear of not being right with Jesus.

“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Whenever I talk to someone who deals with condemnation they will say,”I feel so condemned.” The key word here is “feel.” Our feelings and emotions are amazing gifts from God, but they were never meant to be the compass of truth in our lives. His Word is our plumbline for all truth, and His Word is very clear about condemnation in the lives of those who have received Him as their Savior,

“The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.” Psalm 34:22

It has become increasingly distressing to me to see so many sons and daughters under the heavy weight of this spirit of accusation that results in condemnation and crippling fear. The Holy Spirit has had me praying for these precious ones for a number of weeks now. As I have prayed and spent time talking to some who are (or have been) plagued with this torment, the consistent theme was that they “felt” condemnation. It immediately reminded me of a time I sat with a sixty-eight-pound woman with anorexia who told me that she still “felt fat.”

Although feelings are a wonderful gift that enable us to feel joy, compassion, excitement, and sorrow, they are also unpredictable and not reliable regarding truth. When you begin to feel condemnation, that is when you grab “the sword of the Spirit” and go to war against the lie!

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17

You must battle the lie that has provoked feelings of condemnation with the truth found in the Word of God. That is your compass to truth and your weapon of warfare. The soul (mind and emotions) must be brought into submission to the Word of God, which is your truth and your defense against this lie that has come to separate you from God’s love.

“The LORD has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more.” Zephaniah 3:15

Jesus paid the price for all the judgements and accusations that stood against you. The evidence against you was irrefutable, but Jesus paid the price for every penalty once and for all. Therefore, to allow condemnation to be a part of your life is to deny the very blood shed for your freedom.

The Holy Spirit uses conviction to lead people to repentance, and His correction is always inviting and full of hope. He takes your hand and walks you to the throne of grace, where mercy takes away your sin and changes your heart. Condemnation forces you into separation and fear, causing you greater captivity.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.” Luke 6:37

Although this verse is focused on judging others, it is applicable to how you judge and condemn yourself as well. It is time to allow the blood of Jesus to be your full pardon! You must begin to speak to your “feelings” when they arise to condemn you. Declare the truth of the Word of God, allowing the sword of the Spirit to slice through your clinging web of fear and torment, and proclaim the authority and power of the blood of Jesus over your life. As you practice doing this again and again you will find that your soul begins to transform and submit to truth.

Here are some verses to sharpen that sword of yours:

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7)

• “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:9)

• “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (I John 1:7)

• “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’).” (Galatians 3:13)

Jesus’ blood washed away all condemnation for those who belong to Him. If you are continually dealing with the feelings of condemnation then know this: YOUR FEELING ARE LYING TO YOU! There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. When words of regret and condemnation arise, remember the words from Hebrews 12:23-24

“…You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”

The blood of Jesus speaks a better word over your life! It speaks the new covenant of grace and it speaks a full pardon from all of your sins and frees you from the weight of regret.

Now is the first day of the rest of your life and it is the day to begin to take back what was purchased for you by the blood of Jesus: your pardon and freedom! Do not any longer live an emotion-driven life but live in the abundant life that is offered to those who have gained salvation. It is a solid foundation to stand upon that will not allow you to be shaken. Your emotions are like the waves of the sea; always rising and falling, always crashing and pulling you under. It is time to submit your emotions to truth; let your spirit arise by standing upon the Rock of Truth: Jesus Christ.

God is Walking Into Your Room

Kathi Pelton

As I was spending time with the Lord I saw a vision of Him gently knocking on a door. It was not the front door to a house but rather a bedroom door. Through the door, I could see a woman sitting in her room, weeping. Her pain was tangible and her desperation was so very deep. I somehow knew that she had tried to be strong through the pain, but it now felt like she could not catch her breath.

Then, suddenly, she heard the gentle tap on the door and invited Jesus in. He walked over to this woman and He wrapped His arms around her and held her. She wept in His comforting strength and as she did, He took all of her pain upon Himself. He breathed life and hope back into her and gave her His peace.

As I watched this vision I knew it was for many men and women who are even now experiencing this deep pain; I also heard in my spirit the song by Bryan and Katie Torwalt playing, “When You Walk Into the Room.”

The words became alive,

“When You walk into the room

Everything changes

Darkness starts to tremble

At the light that You bring

And when You walk into the room

Every heart starts burning

And nothing matters more

Than just to sit here at Your feet

And worship You

We worship You”

There is comfort knocking on the doors to the rooms that the broken-hearted are sitting in. It is the comfort that only He can bring and it gives you the strength to go forward and the air to breathe deeply once again. He is calming your fears and comforting your pain; He will make all things new.

He longs to take your anguish and hold you. He is knocking on the door so He might come in and change everything through His love. Your pain will turn into the deepest worship that you have ever known and ever released to Him. He makes the bitter waters sweet and heals the broken-hearted.

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust. Sing out your thanks to the Lord; sing praises to our God with a harp. He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures. He gives food to the wild animals and feeds the young ravens when they cry. He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.” Psalms‬ ‭147:3-11‬ ‭

I release over every person reading this word and over the ones that you love the embrace of the unfailing love of God. His unfailing love is even now coming upon your body, your soul and your spirit to release the manifestation of the assurance of your hope and faith. His strength has come to carry you and to carry your pain (and the pain of your loved ones). He makes all things new!

Your Enemy is Being Defeated! The Showdown Has Begun

Kathi Pelton

The God of Heaven and Earth has sent out angelic armies to both expose and defeat the enemy that has sent against you. These enemies were sent to harm you, thwart you from forward motion, discourage you and even threaten your life. They were sent against you because of the threat that you carry to his plans. They created turbulence and turmoil but it’s all turning around now.

Suddenly this enemy will be revealed, his strategy exposed and he will be defeated. Not only will the assignment sent against you be defeated but you will receive more than you lost…so much more!

The demonic armies are taking huge hits as God’s people are arising to align with truth and victory. They are partnering with heaven’s hosts to both worship, declare and overthrow the strongholds that have stood against them personally and against their cities and nations…and against the revelation of Jesus Christ.

God is not about to move…HE IS MOVING! Wisdom is coming forth to overcome and overthrow. The blood of the Lamb is causing a great exodus of those who have been held captive.

Strongholds are breaking off of regions that will now move into God’s original intent for them. This will cause the lost to be saved as the atmosphere changes and the Church takes her rightful governmental place as priests and kings.

I prophecy over you that your enemy is coming down because the spiritual “showdown” has begun and God will show who He is before the enemies that have stood against you. He is setting a banquet Ying table before you in the presence of your enemies. Nothing will stop Him! You will receive recompense for all that has been lost and attacked. Your double portion will now come. This is your time of victory.

“The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Exodus 14:14

Your “Lazarus” Moment is Coming

Kathi Pelton

The Spirit of the Lord showed me many people who were feeling dead inside or as if they’d been wrapped in grave clothes and put into a tomb. They cried out to Jesus but He didn’t come though or show up on time. As I saw these people I was suddenly taken into the story of Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha. They had sent word to Jesus that their brother was sick and yet He did not hurry to come. Lazarus then died, was wrapped in grave clothes and put in the tomb where his body laid for four days before Jesus arrived. When Mary saw Him she fell at His feet and said,

“Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32

I hear the same words in my spirit coming from people who have experienced the enemy and thief that came to kill, steal and destroy them.

“Lord, if you had been here…”

Jesus wept with Martha and Mary because of his deep love and compassion for their pain. He loved His friend, Lazarus but He knew all along what He was to do and when He was to do it.

Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11:38-44

Your story is not over! Though it seems that Jesus has delayed in coming when you prayed; what He will do for you will cause you to see the glory of God. He will raise you up and demand that the grave clothes are taken off of you. He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself and His glory will be seen.

Your resurrection is coming and the Resurrected King is right on time.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

He will stretch out His hand of victory and be the help that you have cried out for. Do not be afraid because what you see is not the end of your story. Your Lazarus moment is coming!

He Gives Rest to the Weary

Kathi Pelton

As I sat down to pray and write today, Papa God poured His deep compassion over me for His sons and daughters who are battle-weary. The compassion that flowed in me felt like strong arms reaching out to hold and lift up the weary ones. As this embrace from Papa God enveloped me for the “weary ones” I heard the words from Matthew 11:28-30:

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”

Allow all of the weariness, the heaviness, and the pain to fall at His feet as you fall into His outstretched arms. He will take the burden that is too heavy for you to carry. As Papa holds you, Jesus’ light burden comes upon you to comfort you and to give you rest.

Do not worry about what is ahead or what lies behind because He is before you and behind you! He is surrounding you with His love and kindness. He is blanketing you with warmth and protection. His angels have been set on guard around you to minister to you and to battle for you.

Your Daddy loves you so very much. His goodness and tenderness is with you, right where you are today. He is the lifter of your head.

“So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain. I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. Arise, O Lord! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked! Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. ” Psalms‬ ‭3:2-8‬ ‭

The Floodgates of Heaven Are Opening Over Your Life and Over the Earth

Kathi Pelton

Praise opens the floodgates of Heaven!

There is a swell coming out of the sound of the saints that are giving honor, thanks and praise to the Lord. It is the sound of earth, joining with the sound of heaven as together with the elders we throw down our crowns so that He is declared King. This sound of praise that is coming from earth is rising even in the midst of adversity and turmoil which has become a pleasing sacrifice of praise.

The intermingling of the worship in heaven with the worship on earth is opening the floodgates of heaven to release a heavy rain. It is releasing the rain of His reign which will set many free! It is the rain of salvation, the rain of His love and the rain that ends spiritual droughts.

The sacrifice of praise that is offered even when you are hurting is the sound that brings deliverance. The enemy desires to rob Jesus of the worship that He deserves but God’s people are rising up in praise and adoration even in the midst of adversity. They are praising through the pain!

Let your sound go forth, do not hold back your sacrifice of praise because it is the key that is opening the floodgates of heaven over your life and over the earth.

“But all who are left shout and sing for joy. Those in the west praise the Lord’s majesty. In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel. We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One!…” Isaiah‬ ‭24:14-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Shout, praise, sing and give glory to the Righteous One!

God is About to Restore Marriages! A Revival of Renewed Love Will Come Forth

Kathi Pelton

The Lord showed me a vision of couples that had been married for many years suddenly awakened to the “first love” that they had for one another. At first, I saw a black and white scene of a couple who were merely functioning in life together but no longer sharing the deep connection they once knew.

Then I saw angels sent to these couples—they were like cartoon “Cupid” angels that kids draw—and the angels were playfully shooting arrows of love at these couples. As this happened, the vision turned to vivid color and these couples remembered once again the wonderful sensation of love they shared in the beginning. Their hearts came alive with joy and excitement, and all the feelings they had shared in the beginning were restored.

I then saw that many second honeymoons will be planned because of this renewed love and affection. All the years of being responsible: focusing on raising children, on careers and caring for homes, and the hundreds of things that life demands from couples will suddenly come into a new perspective, and rather than tearing them apart it will knit them more closely together. They will carry the wonder of the love they shared in the beginning, along with the depth of wisdom that the years have taught them. Wonder and wisdom will be intermingled causing a double-portion blessing to rest upon their lives.

This double-portion blessing will suddenly give these couples new energy and new hopes, dreams, and joy. It will pour over into their relationships with Jesus, where together they will come into a renewed, first love experience with Him. Oneness of heart will be released in the body of Christ due to the love that is rekindled in these marriages.

I hear the words again and again, “He makes all things new! He makes all things new! He makes all things new!”

This mending of marriages will do more for the Kingdom than we can imagine. It will release a unity of hearts and a healing upon families. A baptism of joy will come upon His people because hearts will be awakened and “love will be in the air.” It will pour out wherever these couples go and people will be drawn to the love that they share. People will be saved because of their longing to have what these couples share together.

The world is full of married couples that are desperately longing to be reconnected and restored. The couples that experience this renewed love will become ministers of reconciliation wherever they go. They will become household and family evangelists; praying for and laying hands on couples that need what they have. They will carry an anointing for reconciliation and renewal.

Get ready for a revival of love that hits marriages!

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12

The Lord Will Defend You

Kathi Pelton

Our family has a tiny dog that frightens easily. Whenever he becomes frightened by a loud noise or stranger he will run away and hide under a chair, sofa or table. We will immediately try to get to him in order to hold him, comfort him, and defend him, but he makes it very hard by running and hiding in a hard-to-reach place.

Many of God’s people are much like this. When the enemy comes to frighten them they run away from the One who is there to comfort and defend them rather than TO Him. He is calling to you who have been gripped with fear to come out of your hiding place. He will be your defender and your comforter. He is longing to lift you up from the pit of fear and hold you in His arms where no enemy can touch you.

It is in the refuge of His arms that you will learn to “be still.” Instead of your wrestle for self-preservation and self-defense, you will surrender to the stillness of knowing that He is God and He is your helper.

“You have made the Lord your defender, the Most High your protector, and so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home.” Psalm 91:9-10

This is your promise and your legal right as a son or daughter of God. When I sense the enemy bringing a threat or assignment against my home or family, I know that it is illegally trespassing upon a promise given to me. This is the time that I run to the arms of my Defender so that He can deal with the approaching thief. My weapon of war becomes the stillness of trust and the surrender to His authority over all the battle.

“How I love you, Lord! You are my defender. The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe. I call to the Lord, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 18:1-3

The first Scripture I learned as a new believer thirty-five years ago was Psalm 23. If you study this portion of Scripture in the Hebrew language, you will find that throughout the verses the different names of God are used that declare who He is to us. Praying this Psalm with His names within it is a powerful tool to draw you out of hiding and back into His loving arms.

1. The Lord is my shepherd;

(Yehovah-Roi, my Protector)

I shall not want.

(Yehovah -Yireh, my Provider)

2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures:

(Yehovah– Adonai, my Master – our Sovereign Lord)

he leads me beside the still waters.

(Yehovah -Shalom – The Lord is my Peace)

3. He restores my soul:

(Yehovah– Rophi, my Healer)

he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

(Yehovah – Tsidkenu , my Righteousness: meaning the Lord our Righteousness, Lord is there or the Lord is with me.)

4. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shades of death,

(Yehovah– Shammah, my Divine Presence/You are with me. Meaning: You are always with me.)

I will fear no evil: for you are with me;

(Yehovah – Tsebaoth, my Warrior: meaning our Lord will fight for you)

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

(Yehovah-El Elyon, my Defender – means: The Lord God Most High, or The Lord God, my Defender)

5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies:

(Yehovah – Nissi, my Encourager meaning: The Lord, my Banner or the Lord who rallies us to Himself. )

thou anointest my head with oil;

(Yehovah-Mekaddesh, my Righteousness or Sanctifier meaning: The Lord, my Sanctifier or the Lord makes me Righteous)

my cup overflows.

(Yehovah – El Shaddai, my Nourisher meaning: The Lord my Nourisher or our All-Sufficient, Extra Ordinary, Supernatural God)

6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

(Yehovah – El Elohim , my Protector meaning: The Lord God is My Strong Protector. Also means our Eternal Creator)

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

(Yehovah – El Olam, my Eternity meaning: The Lord God of Eternity or our Everlasting God. The Hebrew word “olam” can be translated either “eternity” or “secrets”. The LORD will take care of us forever as that is what Yehovah– El Olam stands for.)

Psalm 23:1-6

He is your defender and so much more.

Today is a day to come out of fear and come out of hiding. It is time to let Him be your Shepherd (protector) and watch how your “cup will overflow”.

Victory Has Come

Kathi Pelton

Today I was taken into a vision of Jesus our Champion riding on a white horse with a flag that had the word “VICTORY” inscribed on it. He was leading a great angelic army into a battle that I knew had already been won. It was as if He was entering the battle with a procession that would normally come at the end of a battle that had been won.

Then I saw God’s people fighting fierce demonic attacks that were aimed to stop them from seeing people saved, healed, and delivered. The enemy fears their lives and he fears their prayers and he fears their authority. These attacks were to stop them dead in their tracks through sudden fear, pain, or trauma. I heard, “The enemy has come to strike them down.”

I then heard God’s faithful remnant begin to rise up as one on behalf of those who had been “stopped.” They began to declare a victory along with the Lord.

I heard the words from the song, “Champion” (by Bryan & Katie Torwalt),

“We will shout it out from the mountaintops

that our God is good, He has overcome.

Let all the earth, every tribe and tongue:

we will sing it out, He has overcome.”

If you have a voice, then shout these words out! Let heaven and hell, angels and demons, the earth and the sky hear your declaration. Our Champion, who fights for us, has overcome! Victory is His and He has gone forth in victorious array. He will secure your victory and the enemy’s camp will be plundered, and you will receive back more than what was stolen from you.

Dance around the downcast and shout over those struck down. Enter into the victory march that is even now trampling down the enemy.

I declare, “Victory” over all that has come against you. Come on: join in this victory song! Today is the day of His overcoming.
