It Is Time To Get Drenched in the Favor of God

By Kathi Pelton

Last week I went on a sunny prayer walk with my dear friend. As we walked and prayed we began to declare the heavens to open up over the earth and as we did a cloud appeared over us and the rain began to pour. Of a matter of fact it poured so hard that we became absolutely drenched! The next day I received a message from a friend who lives in Switzerland. She had gone out for a sunny day bike ride and felt to pray for me. When she did it began to rain on her with such force that her message said, “I was drenched!” She had no idea what had happened to me the previous day. This morning when I woke up I heard the Spirit speak to me and say, “Tell My people to get ready to be drenched in My favor!”

The Word of God is such a rich resource of wisdom and ways to live by. God’s teaching leads us upon paths of joy and favor. Throughout scripture we are exhorted to trust the Lord and to keep all of His ways (His decrees and commands). Blessings, favor and even long life follow those who submit their lives to His Word.

In Proverbs 3 we are given many instructions on how to live and all of the blessings that follow us as we do so. The first verses begins with an instruction that has a beautiful promise attached to them,

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands; for they will bring you many days, a full life, and well-being.” Proverbs 3:1-2

According to the dictionary, “well-being” is defined as the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. I don’t know anyone who does not want comfort, health and happiness!

But there is so much more,

“Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. THEN you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.”

Often dogs are known as “loyal.” A great example of this is with our youngest son and his dog, Kiera. He has had his dog since he was a young teenager and she is so loyal and faithful to him. This past year, my son had to move out on his own (into a small apartment) and he was working very long days. Since Kiera is a large dog he would return home and find that she was not doing well cooped up in an apartment alone for so many hours. She wasn’t eating and seemed depressed. Some friends of his fiancée (now bride) offered to let his dog live with them on their acreage until our son has a different living situation.

Though it was a hard decision to make, he knew that this was best for his loyal pup. It has now been about seven months that she has lived with this couple (who spoils her and loves her) and yet, when our son goes to visit her she will run to him with howls of delight and lay on top of his feet the entire time he is there. Why, because she is loyal to him! Though others feed her, love her, walk her and spend all day with her— her loyalty is still with our son. She would rather be with him then anyone else; just sitting at his feet brings her comfort and happiness.

Oh, that we would have such loyalty to God. If only all of His sons and daughters would find such joy and comfort in sitting at His feet and spending time with Him, the church would be a more beautiful place. But the reality is that many treat spending time with Him like a chore or heavy burden but that is because they have yet to discover the beautiful bond of loyalty with Him. And— it is loyalty that produces faithfulness!

Let’s go on with Proverbs 3. The next verses say this,

“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways; and He will guide you on the right paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Just as my son’s dog would follow him anywhere, so should our trust, loyalty and faithfulness cause us to follow Him upon the paths He leads us down— even when we do not understand! When God asked our family to move this past January from our home on the West Coast to the Washington DC region, we had NO understanding of why. Yet, we have discovered that as we trust Him and follow Him down the paths He leads us on that they surely are revealed as “the right path.” They don’t always feel good or right at first but as we remain at His feet we find favor with God and man in the places that He leads us to. Our trust is in HIM not in a place or a particular path.

Proverbs 3 does not end with verse 6 but goes on for 35 verses that give instructions, wisdom and all that we gain as we follow His teachings. They are wealth to our lives. Promises such as, “He blesses the home of the righteous…”

There is a need for God’s people to be walking in the supernatural favor that is offered to us now more than ever before. The favor of God will do more to help us than any college degree, employment resume or gift. When the favor with man is added to the favor of God then we see a partnership with heaven and earth that begins to open up doors that we could have never imagined.

I believe that there is a setting apart of those who trust the Lord with all their heart and who will become loyal and faithful to all of His ways. Lukewarmness is being revealed as unbelief and disloyalty; yet, in the love and mercy of God He is imploring (making an earnest or desperate appeal) to those who are lukewarm to become fully faithful and loyal to all of His ways. He longs to bless them with favor and happiness! He desires to lead them on right paths and to pour out His favor upon them. What a loyal and faithful God we serve!

When we have favor we receive beyond what is normal or even due. I am constantly overwhelmed by the favor with God and man that has been given to me. It is so beyond what is due and yet He rewards my trust and faithfulness. Often I am in awe of the benefits of His favor; knowing that there are many that are more qualified for what He allows me to do. He rewards my trust in Him more than He looks at my qualifications. He knows that I will follow Him and will be loyal to Him.

Favor is the key that will open more doors for you than any gift or qualification that you will ever have. Your talents, your good looks, your degrees (education), your determination and your persuasiveness are lost in the crowd of others a million other similarly qualified people; but the favor of God (and man) will trump them all!

Ephesians 2:8 tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” Grace is favor and God’s favor is the power that changes things for us!

God’s favor is resting upon His sons
and daughters in this hour! Trust Him with all your heart and nurture loyalty even when you do not understand! He is looking for those who do not need to be put on a leash to follow Him but who will follow because they’ve “tied loyalty and faithfulness around their neck” and will never leave His side.

Favor is about to drench the faithful!!

Cry Out Holy! Watch As The Heavens Open Over You and Release Breakthrough From Oppression

by Kathi Pelton

For many days now I have had the song “Holy Are You” by Jesus Culture playing through my mind over and over. As the words, “Holy, Holy, Holy are You” wash over me; a portal between heaven and earth has opened up over my life. My spirit is receiving an outpouring from Heaven as I join in with the angels and the elders who cry out “Holy, Holy, Holy”

There is a fresh baptism and outpouring that is descending upon His yielded ones in a way that I have not personally seen since the days of the great Toronto Outpouring. Once again the tangible and manifest connection between heaven and earth that transforms all that it touches is falling upon many. Surrendered vessels are becoming human portals that bring the longings of heaven to touch the prayers of earth with desires fulfilled. A breaker anointing is within the very vibrations that exist within the sound of these words.

It is as though I can hear the song of Heaven audibly sung and it is inviting those of us on earth to join with them. Sing “Holy, Holy, Holy” with the heavenly hosts and experience heaven touch earth as you join into the song that ushers in true Oneness. It will be your personal breakthrough song because it breaks the barriers that have held you back. These words will break the sound barrier and take send you soaring at new heights and in ways that have seemed previously “blocked”.

It is as if the very words “Holy, Holy, Holy” are a key to unlock an open heaven and a transformational power to come upon you and to be manifest through you. God has placed a longing in my spirit to see all the saints of God enter in, as one voice, with the worship in heaven happening before His throne that cries out “Holy, Holy, Holy.”

Day and night the song goes forth and there is a tangible invitation to join in. Heaven and earth can release one song and one sound that breaks the barriers that demonic powers and principalities have erected. Transformation will be the result of the breaker anointing that this releases. If you need personal transformation then enter into the song of songs and the sound that breaks the barriers.

Holy are You! Worthy are You! We cry Holy…

Testimony Time! “God Will Order Your Steps”

by Kathi Pelton

The other day I was walking around a “beauty/make-up” store with my daughter. As she shopped I wandered around separately. As I wandered, I spotted a lady standing at the counter of their hair salon and immediately had the thought, “Ask her about their pricing.”

Though I needed my hair done, that surely wasn’t in my current budget or in my plans to do. Plus, I was happy with the hair dresser that I currently have. But I was compelled to ask the prices and for reasons unbeknown to me, I found myself making an appointment to have my hair done by her. I walked away perplexed and wondering why in the world I did that! I didn’t even tell my daughter because I was sure that I’d cancel it.

The appointment was two days away and in those two days numerous unexpected things happened that cost hundreds of dollars (including my husband dropping his contact lens only to step on it…costing $300!). I concluded that I for sure would cancel the hair appointment because now it really wasn’t in the budget! But, every time I went to cancel it I would hesitate and felt to hold off a bit longer.

Finally, yesterday was the day for the appointment. I had about 101 reasons to cancel it! They were all legitimate and good reasons. But I felt a nudge to keep moving forward on it…so I went.

Ten minutes after sitting down in the chair for the appointment the Lord showed up. This hair dresser had been raised as a Jehovah Witness and raised her children in the same religion. But something deep within her was crying out for a relationship with God and not mere religion. After her marriage had fallen apart she began to ask questions about if Jesus was truly God or merely a “god” as taught in her religious organization. She went on a deep journey to seek out truth and the true God. She was longing to walk with someone who had the answers that she was seeking.

Then God had me sit down in her chair to get my hair done. For the next three hours what we shared went so deep. While she worked on my hair she kept a tissue box nearby as the tears poured down her face. It was a divine appointment…not because I had to have my hair done but because the God of mercy and grace heard the cry of this woman who was longing desperately for Him. She found who her heart was longing for! We will now begin meeting together regularly.

The reason that I’m sharing this testimony is to remind you to pay attention to those seemingly “random” thoughts that you have that go against your plans but order your steps into divine appointments. I hadn’t planned to go to that store with my daughter that day but at the last minute decided to go just to be with her. I hadn’t planned to make a hair appointment, especially from a stranger and at a place that I knew nothing about. I hadn’t planned to keep this “random” appointment because it made no sense financially (especially with two days of non-stop unexpected large expenses coming upon us)…but my feet were compelled to walk out steps that I had not planned.

If I had given into “reason” or my thoughts I would have missed this and though God would have found another way to reach her, I wouldn’t have had the honor of being the one to watch her encounter the love of God and hear His truth.

I am always so grateful for those who obeyed the Lord when they shared the love of God with me when I first came to know Him. I’m sure that “I” was not a part of their plans! But, as believers, we commit our plans to the Lord and ask Him to order our steps. And…He does! We must be willing to follow that nudge in directions we hadn’t planned and as we do we end up right where He needs us to be.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9

You may be the answer to someone else’s prayers. Your steps may not make practical sense of even financial sense but listen to that still small voice that judges you to “just keep walking” and watch what He will do.

Divine appointments await you so make your plans but yield the ordering of His steps!

Faith, Finances and Fruitfulness

by Kathi Pelton

Today I was reminded of the story in John 6 of the boy who offered his lunch (loaves and fish) to the Lord. It is such a beautiful example of what God can do with our offering.

“‘There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many? Jesus said, ‘Have the people sit down.’ Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, ‘Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost. ‘ So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, ‘This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!’” John‬ ‭6:9-14‬ ‭

The offerings that we bring often feel insignificant compared to the great need that is before us. But when all that we have (both small and large) is placed into the Lord’s hands, He blesses it and multiplied it to feed the multitudes. Not only that—there is always more than enough with leftovers that exceed the original offering. In this story the boy who offered his lunch not only still ate and was “filled” but I believe that this increase was counted to his credit! Not only were the people’s hunger satisfied but the miracle of multiplication revealed Jesus to the masses. They believed!

This seemingly small act of faith on the part of this boy brought increased fruitfulness not only for him but for the multitudes. It is still revealing Jesus today and increasing the faith of those who merely have “a lunch” to offer.

My husband and I have been in full-time ministry for many years. The majority of our time in ministry we have been supported by those who the Lord prompted to support us financially. On an emotional level this was a hard adjustment for us when we started on that path. We had been used to being the ones who supported others and suddenly needed to be supported. When God called us to live in another country to oversee a house of prayer, we had to “go” and trust that the Lord would bring generous givers to surround our lives as we gave our “yes” to His call. We quickly had to learn absolute trust and thanksgiving in times of plenty and times of hunger.

Throughout the years of living upon the support of others (amazing and beautiful people!), we had to come to terms with the truth that Paul speaks of in Philippians 4 regarding his own ministry and support, when he writes, “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.”

Our hearts, like Paul’s, have always been to give our all and give our “yes” to all that the Lord asks of us (whether giving or going). Though there are times of great struggle and sacrifice, we know that He is worthy of it all. We have come to understand through these verses in Philippians 4 that the burden or weight that we often felt as people supported us was wrong thinking. Let’s look at what Paul says about those who supported him and the work he was doing,

“Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians‬ ‭4:14-20‬ ‭

God equally credits the fruitfulness of Paul’s ministry to those who stood in the place of support. Although Paul was the mouthpiece (and he was credited for that), those who offered financial support gave “an acceptable and pleasing offering to the Lord” and it was credited to them for all the fruit that came forth.

It is a partnership! One is not greater than the other because one cannot exist without the other. I live in the confident assurance that those who give are benefiting from the fruitfulness that comes from the work of those they give to. In light of this truth we all can focus on the work before us and pray for the increase of Kingdom fruitfulness; being confident that those hard working supporters are being blessed equally as much. The reward for the one who goes and the one who gives is the same!

I am sharing this because there is so much misunderstanding about this partnership and about the role of those who give and those who go. Often people hold back because they feel as though they give with no return. Or they give only a small measure because they feel as though all the fruit goes to those who are the mouthpiece or instrument of “going.” But according to Paul, he is able to “seek the fruit that was increased because of those who gave!” There must be those who plant the seed and those who water the seed. God sees both with equal importance, impact. and honor.

The one that “goes” and the one that “gives” are rewarded the same and credited for the increase of fruitfulness. Both take a posture of faith and live by faith even in two different roles.

I pray that this understanding takes the pressure off those who go and adds a blessing upon those that give. I have been in both roles; those who have given and those who have gone, and one was not above the other or more honorable than the other. No matter what role the Lord has called you to stand in; the increase of fruitfulness is credited to you. It is a pleasing sacrifice that will bring the increase of fruitfulness upon your life as well.

Ask and You Shall Receive

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.Matthew 7:7

We are hearing reports from believers all over the world that are suddenly receiving answers to prayers they’ve prayed and are suddenly seeing doors open that they have been knocking on.

There is an acceleration in the spirit that is moving lives forward with great momentum. Though the wait has been long, the spiritual muscles of faith and prayers have been built up! It is as if the body of Christ has been like an runner preparing for the the biggest race of their lives. The training had been long and it has been brutal but it’s also been effective. The gun signaling the beginning of the race has gone off and the race has begun.

If you are still waiting then don’t stop asking and don’t stop knocking! I declare the following words over you today…

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

He will do it and He is faithful. The dawn is breaking to announce the new day!

On a Personal Note:

As our faithful readers know; many doors have been opening for our family. Not only Jeffrey and I but our grown children as well.

On May 29th through June 4th I will be traveling to Washington DC with our daughter and son-in-law to meet with a national team and ministry that is shifting the spiritual climate of our nation. It is called, “Awaken the Dawn” Please pray for us as we seek wisdom for decisions needing to be made in this new day.

We booked our tickets and lodging in Washington DC today. We are asking and knocking on that door of faith to release the full amount needed financially for this trip. It will cost us over $2,500.00 for this trip alone (we have numerous trips throughout the summer months).

If you would like to help fund this trip, please go to our ministry website homepage and click the donate button: https://www.inscribeministries.com/

We thank you and pray that as you sow into our answered prayers and acceleration that it will release the answers and acceleration you’ve been waiting for. May you move into all that God has prepared for you in the dawning of the new day.

Washington DC Open Door

We have yet another door that has opened for us!

Four of our family members, Jeffrey & I and Luke & Amy (our daughter and son-in-law) have been personally invited to join the Awaken the Dawn national team and family for five days in Washington DC beginning May 29th.

This trip will be a strategic time to connect with those who are walking with the Lord to see our nation turn back to God. We will be meeting with national, regional and state leaders to pray and hear from the Lord while establishing strong relationships that will bring unity and family ties.

Once again, we are inviting you into partnering with us regarding this sudden open door. We need to book plane tickets (we live on the West Coast), hotels, etc. right away. We are saying yes to this trip in faith. Will you add your faith and your yes (on our behalf) as well?

Let’s partner with God for the sake of our nation and for the sake of His Son receiving all the honor and glory that He deserves.

If you would like to partner with us by financially supporting us as we go to our nation’s capital, go to: https://www.inscribeministries.com/

We are deeply grateful for our readers and friends who stand with us as we give our yes to the Lord!

With Love and Thanks,

You Will Catch the Swift Current

by Kathi Pelton

For a few weeks now I have been seeing a reoccurring vision of God’s people being pulled into a spiritual current (such as a strong ocean current) that suddenly propels them forward. In the vision I saw people moving along slowly but faithfully but then suddenly they were pulled into a swift moving current that accelerated them with ease and a strength that was not their own.

I believe that many people who have been faithful with the little and who have kept moving forward, despite resistance and opposition, will be (and even now are) experiencing a sudden pull into this spiritual current that causes even things in the natural and the spirit to move faster and with greater ease. You will get from one place to another with greater ease, you will see answers come more swiftly and you will feel the power and force of His might free you from a heavy yoke of your own strength that has caused exhaustion and resistance. You will suddenly find yourself yoked to His power and the move of His Spirit.

I also heard the Lord say that those who have been held back due to opposition will suddenly become “current” as they are pulled into this spiritual current that catches them up. You have not missed anything but will be found “in His timing” at the very time that you are needing to be there.

If you are feeling a negative “pull” that is trying to convince you to stop or give up it is merely the enemy’s attempt to keep you away from being pulled into this swift current that will propel you forward and put you into this move of God that will impact you personally and us corporately.

This current will create a “slipstream” that aligns you with heaven’s movement. Your natural circumstances will be caught in this slipstream and we will see the Kingdom of God established in earth and in our lives like never before. Keep moving forward and do not be hindered by the pull that wants to stop you. The swift current is closer than you think!

• When God speaks, bad reports become praise reports.

• When God moves, dark storms become still waters.

• When God blesses, a small offering is multiplied into abundant supply.

• When God delivers, demons flee and men are restored.

• When God loves, broken lives are forever changed!

Every day with God is a day of miracles! Whatever your need is today, there is a “But God…” opportunity before you. No matter how big or how small, how crucial or how trivial; He loves to speak, move, bless, deliver and love you.

Do not be discouraged by the challenges that are before you because they are about to become your “But God…” testimony. Get excited because if God is for you then who (or what) can stand against you?

The Bells and Whistles Are Now Sounding

Kathi Pelton

This morning I was heard the Spirit of the Lord speak the words, “I am now releasing all the bells and whistles.”

As I was taking note of this I heard “in the natural” what sounded like a train whistle three times (there are no train tracks near our home)! On the third one my husband said to me, “What is that sound?” When I told him what I was writing and that the noise was coming from outside he said, “I thought it was coming from your phone!” It was my phone that I was writing on.

Immediately I was taken to three scriptures to confirm the sound we were hearing:

Zechariah 10:8:

“I will whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as numerous as they were before.

Isaiah 5:26:

He will also lift up a standard to the distant nation, And will whistle for it from the ends of the earth; And behold, it will come with speed swiftly.

Zechariah 14:20:

In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO THE LORD ” And the cooking pots in the LORD’S house will be like the bowls before the altar.

For months now I have been taken back to 1989 when Bob Jones and Paul Cain prayed over my husband and I the words, “Holiness unto the Lord.” We began praying that over our children from the moment of their birth onward. The words that were spoken and prayed over us (along with many others) thirty years ago have been ringing in my ears and my spirit again and again like an alarm saying, “NOW IS THE TIME!”

It is like the arrival of a train that signals, “All aboard!” or a bell that is attached to horses signaling their arrival. In 2014 I began hearing a train whistle in my spirit. Each time that I’d talk about it to someone, suddenly a train whistle would go off in the natural (even if I didn’t know that a train track was nearby). At that time I knew that this particular whistle was signaling something spiritual that was approaching for the USA. I knew it was time to get ready and be prepared to board this “glory train.” Now, five years later I am hearing the sound once again. This time, it is coming with “all the bells and whistles!”

I find it interesting that while I’m hearing these words about bells and whistles that my family has been having unusual car problems. Both of our cars have had issues that stopped them from running. The term “bells and whistles” are often used in describing newer cars. We will say, “It is equipped with all the bells and whistles,” meaning that it is an upgrade with all the things that make travel easier and more comfortable. I found myself calling in a newer car with all the bells and whistles as these problems occurred. Cars (vehicles) represent families and ministries and I believe that the Lord is sending forth an upgrade to many ministries that have nurtured “family” so that they can go forward with greater ease and comfort; almost like going from an old “clunker” to a prestigious top-of-the-line new vehicle.

I recently had a dream where an old, dilapidated SUV was in my driveway and a new Lincoln Crossover was delivered to me and parked next to it. i believe that this spoke of it now being a time to crossover into a time of emancipation (Lincoln representing a spirit of emancipation)! This is a time of liberation and freedom from that which has held us back.

The war horses are coming with bells inscribed with the words, “HOLINESS TO THE LORD.” Those who have been prepared to run with the horses are being released (emancipated) from the fenced places to run fast and free. They will run with the fear of the Lord as their standard and they will whistle to the nations to come! Bells of revival will ring in the land and nations will come to witness all that the Lord will do. Signs and wonders will be like the bells and whistles that sound throughout the nations. These will not be contained within church walls but will spill out into the streets; into the byways and highways to both the least and the greatest! All will see that the LORD is God. Like the bowls before the altar that are filled by the prayers of the saints, the overflow is now upon us!

Do you hear the bells and whistles? The sound of a great move of God is arriving. Do not miss this time but be prepared to run!

Watch As Goodness and Mercy Are Poured Over Your Life

Kathi Pelton

Today the Spirit of the Lord showed me a picture of a liquid substance being poured over the heads of His sons and daughters. As it was being poured great joy was coming upon them. Then I heard the words from Psalm 23:6(a)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”

The liquid substance was His goodness and mercy being poured out in great abundance over our lives!

The verse the proceeds this one (verse 5) says,

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23:5‬ ‭

This is a “cup running over time”. You will see and experience His goodness and His mercy being poured over your life and you will feast upon the fruits of what He has done for you!

You will shout, “Come and see what the Lord has done, the amazing things he has done on the earth.” Psalm 46:8

Not only will He display His goodness and mercy in the lives of His people but the Lord will show Himself as “God of the Nations” in the days ahead. Though there will be shakings and clashes within nations, the Lord will subdued enemies and bare His mighty arm of power to do what only He can do.

We will be witnesses of the sovereignty of God in the days ahead. Posture yourself in that truth and apply your faith to His sovereign ability to do what no man can do; for you and for nations. Look beyond the natural and see how the arm of the Lord is reaching into the earthly impossibles to show His goodness and mercy.

Look up and receive the outpouring of goodness and mercy. Let the joy of this gift revive you and fill you into new life. Allow your cup of thankfulness to overflow as He causes your cup to overflow with favor and blessings.
