It’s Restoration Time!

Joel 2:25-27 has been going through my spirit for many months,

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,

The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,

And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Every time I read these verses, one particular line stands out to me,

“… My great army which I sent among you.” (vs. 25b)

We often get so excited about the restoration part that we miss this line. So why am I pointing it out? It is for perspective and for deep understanding of how loved we are as sons and daughters.

This may sound strange, and you may wonder what I mean. How can an army of locusts sent among us prove the depths of the love of our Father?

Many years ago my husband and I were launched into ministry in a very public way, yet there was still much refining in our hearts and in the intent of our hearts that still needed to occur. At one point in our journey our amazing Heavenly Father looked upon us and knew that we needed the discipline that only a loving father can bring. He sent among our lives what only can be described as an army of “swarming and crawling locusts.” This season of difficulty, which looked to our eyes like destruction, was actually the time of discipline that would lead to repentance for the sake of restoration. It was the Father sending His great love upon us in the form of chastening.

I cannot imagine the depth of love that it took our Father to send such discipline upon our lives. The pain that came upon us was devastating. The “locusts” came and exposed every area of compromise, rebellion, pride, and unfaithfulness that was masked under all of the “good works.” This “army sent among us” stayed for seven years and I truly did not know if we would survive. I was often convinced that it was a demonic attack against us for all the years of ministry we had done. Although I am sure that the enemy took advantage of this time, I am more convinced that the great mercy of our God sent this among us in order to save us from our own hidden sins and generational strongholds.

It is easy to blame the enemy for everything that comes upon us but during those seven years, time and time again I became keenly aware of all that was being brought to the surface and exposed that neither my husband nor I had allowed ourselves to deal with. God was extracting the precious from the worthless. He was refining us, disciplining us (because He loves us so very much), and saving us from the things that would have ultimately destroyed us.

I won’t take the time to go into how deep and severe this seven year period was but I will say that I don’t know if I, as a parent, could have allowed my children to face such excruciating pain and not intervened. But the depths of His love allowed the full process to take place, knowing that He was there to save and deliver us from the very things that would have destroyed us. It gave me a greater understanding of how He could send His Son to die for us!

Psalm 78:8 says,

“Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.”

God was assuring us that we would not be like those who had gone before us; stubborn, rebellious and not giving our hearts fully to Him. During those long and agonizing seven years He humbled us, gave us hearts of obedience, hearts fully yielded to Him. He knew the deep cry in us to be like Him and in His mercy He disciplined us and answered our greatest longing.

Many of you have gone through long periods of crisis and what only can be described as an army of locus sent among you. But what if it was (or is) the greatness of the love of your Father that sent this “great army among you” in order to save you?

We came out of those years refined and have seen gold produced. We are learning not to resist repentance but to understand it as a gift of freedom that we may quickly embrace. The fire of His love still remains upon us, keeping us pure and holy unto Him. And now we live in the time of restoration; we dwell in the beauty of verses 26 and 27,

“…You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Though many of you have been through a time of a “great army being sent among you,” there is a promise that springs from this time and it is the promise of restoration! I truly cannot thank God enough for His discipline and for sending the army that exposed all that was hidden. He delivered us from so much! How great is His love! How vast is His wisdom and how good are His ways!

If you are in the midst of this sort of sifting and refining, humble yourself before the Lord quickly. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the gifts of humility, obedience, and faithfulness, and to cause your whole heart to be turned toward Him. Not only for your sake but for your children and your children’s children.

“…because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Hebrews 12:6

It is better to humble yourself before you are humbled by the Lord. This is a time where God is creating a people who will walk in humility, obedience, and faithfulness, whose hearts belong fully to Him.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.” James 4:10

Oh, how deep His love is for you and for me!

Your Vats Will Overflow!

Today the Spirit spoke to me out of Proverbs 3:9-10,

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭

There is a divine reset coming for many of you in the area of finance. I sensed the Lord desiring a “first fruits” offering to finish the 2018 year with honoring Him with an extravagant financial gift. The promise attached to it comes from the verse above from the Book of Proverbs. Honor the Lord with your wealth! This is an “honorarium to the Lord for His faithfulness and faithful promises.

2019 will be a year of new wine poured into new wine skins. There has been an emptying of the things of old that could not hold what the Lord is bringing forth in the days ahead. He has prepared us to walk honorably with wealth and emptied us of the old in order to fill us with the overflow of new wine. This will be a physical and spiritual overflow.

Will you prepare your first fruits offering to seal 2018 and to secure 2019? This will close the past year with thanksgiving and open the door of the new year with the honor that is attached to the promise in Proverbs 3:9-10.

Lastly, the Lord spoke to me from Ezekiel 12:23 recently saying that this will be the new proverb or new testimony in 2019 and beyond (I believe it shifted on 12/23/2018). I will start in verse 22 in order to give context,

“Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’? Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.” Ezekiel‬ ‭12:22-23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Even this week we are seeing prophesies coming to pass that are decades old! This is merely the beginning of the days that will hear the testimonies of visions and prophesies fulfilled. It will be a time of Biblical and Personal prophesies coming to pass.

Proverbs 3:9-10 is a promise and prophesy that those who honor the Lord with their wealth will see come to pass!

Light and New Beginnings

On this final night of Hanukkah, as you light the eighth candle, may the full restoration of your temple (A temple of the Holy Spirit) be established, the full restoration of His Kindgom within you and your home be established and may the oil that releases miracles be fully prepared and purified within you.

I declare and decree purity, restoration, the return of all things that have been taken from you, the manifestation of unprecedented miracles come upon you, new beginnings and a great light in the places that darkness has held you or your city captive.

God Is Shaking Off Your Despair…It’s Time To Rejoice!

Yesterday my dear friend, Deborah Trujillo, did a fantastic job bringing the word of the Lord to our church here in Portland, Oregon. Her theme was “Faithfulness & Thanksgiving”. During her message she read the well-known verse from Philippians 4:6,

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

As she read this verse I went into a vision where I saw men and women arising from a sunken state of deep despair and anxiety. The spirit of truth suddenly came upon them causing them to realize that the despair and anxiety was a spirit sent against them that they had in their vulnerable state come into agreement with; causing them to lose hope. As they stood up, the power of the Lord came upon them and they began to shake and shake almost violently. The shaking was breaking the dark shroud that had cloaked them and brought despair upon them. It was crumbling like a rock wall, leaving the stones at their feet. Then suddenly they began to break into praise and thanksgiving to God. As the words of thanksgiving came forth their shaking turned into dancing; a completely abandoned dance before the Lord.

Then I saw the stones that were now crumbled at their feet and each one represented a request or need that they had carried. But rather than carrying their requests before the Lord with thanksgiving, anxiety had taken the place of prayers, petitions intermingled with thanksgiving causing each need to be cemented together by anxiety. This caused their needs to wall them in and shroud their lives with needs, lack and anxiety…which lead them to despair and hopelessness.

If this is you, I right now prophesy over you that the Spirit of the Lord is coming upon you and you will arise in His power and shake off the fortified wall of despair and hopelessness! His power will crumble the anxiety that caused your requests to become a fortress of never-ending needs and darkness. You will arise and shake off the darkness and despair. You will begin to shout out praise and thanksgiving which will cause you to dance with abandonment and rejoicing. You will dance upon the stones (needs) that lay at your feet. As Jesus is exalted higher than the needs before you they will begin to turn into answers and desires fulfilled. You will bring your needs before the Lord with prayers and petitions that are from a heart of thanksgiving. You will enter into new doors, new gates and new beginnings as you enter in with thanksgiving in your heart.

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” Psalm 100:4

The anxiety that has plagued your days and consumed your nights will be turned into a peace that surpasses your understanding. Philippians 4:6 goes from an instruction (of what to do with your needs and requests) to verse 7 where we see the result of following His instruction,

“…And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Thanksgiving will break every chain of anxiety and crumble the walls of despair! Today is the day to arise and with thanksgiving and make your requests known to Him; for He is faithful!!

A Divine Turnaround: Faith Will Move That Mountain

There is so much in this world to cause hearts to live in constant anxiety. To be anxious is to think about what might go wrong; it is negative faith. Negative faith is like cancer in the believers life, bringing death to peace and joy. True faith brings a cure; peace, joy, confidence and resurrection life occurs as we walk by faith and not by sight.

God wants your thoughts and mind be renewed by the faith that can move mountains! Replace all the thoughts that have filled your mind with worry and an alignment with beliefs that do not make Jesus true to His promises with the KNOWING that as you seek first Christ and His Kingdom that ALL the things you need will be added to you!

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs‬ ‭23:7‬ (a)

If you think, “I’m doomed!” Then that is where your faith is attached. If you say in your heart, “No good thing comes to me!” Then you have aligned your mind with the Accuser who wants you to believe that God is not faithful or good.

On the contrary, if a man thinks, “I am highly favored with every good and perfect gift that comes from above because God is good and his love is perfect toward me in every way.” That faith will align your life with the Kingdom of God creating a portal of provision and promises fulfilled.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭

To seek first the kingdom of God means that your salvation, your relationship with God, is always placed first…before the cares of this world. What is your mind drawn to first? Worry and anxious thoughts about the things of the world or joyful anticipation in the hope of your salvation? If your thoughts and beliefs do not align with the character and nature of God then they are aligned with lies.

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭

“According to His riches!” not according to the wisdom of the world that comes from a night of sleepless worry. His glorious riches have all that you need and all the wisdom that you need to walk in His ways.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”” Luke‬ ‭6:38‬ ‭

You can’t out give God. So put God first and trust in His word. Stop being anxious with thoughts that bring you into a negative faith but begin to focus on what is good and what is true; for you will reap a bountiful harvest in your field of faith. Sow seeds of faith into your field of confident faith and watch God move. A field of worry that has been planted with seeds of lack and unbelief will only bring up weeds that choke out fruit and leave you with a harvest of disappointment.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

As a man thinks so he is! So think on the things above, the things that are true, the things that are right because God wants your breakthrough even more than you want it. He wants you to live in abundant life, abundant peace, abundant joy.

It is time to enter into the faith that moves mountains and leave behind the way of life that leaves you disappointed and defeated! He is faithful…seek Him first! This is your divine turnaround.

It’s Time To Receive Abundant Life

Those who know me well know that 10:10 are special numbers to me. A few years back the Lord spoke them over my husband and I when we moved to Oregon. They represent a couple of different things to us but mostly the wonderful verse in John 10:10,

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”

We had gone through a number of years that it felt like all that we were experiencing was the thief (we were robbed, our house burned, deaths, accusations…you name it!). Then, suddenly life returned and it returned with an abundance of peace, joy and love. It was a 10:10 moment that has carried on with abundance in our hearts since that time.

When I saw today’s date (10/01) I saw a vision of a sudden “turnaround” for many of you that have faced a long season of experiencing the “thief”. The “01” turned around and became a “10” and before my eyes were the numbers 10/10 illuminating with light in a celebratory display.

You shall have life, enjoy life and it will overflow with abundance! As you have chosen Jesus through the dark season that had been filled with trials, now you will receive His promise of life and all of His benefits with great fullness and abundance.

Declare the overflow! It is yours to take! Declare the abundance! It is His to give to you! Declare the fullness! It is His portion for you! And declare double restoration!!! Because that is who He is!

Instead of your shame you will have a double portion; And instead of humiliation your people will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double; Everlasting joy will be theirs.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:7

Your abundant harvest is upon you!

God Will Do For You What You Cannot Do For Yourself

The Lord showed me people who were lying in bed with their minds filled with anxious thoughts that led them to conclusions of dread and doom for the days ahead. But the Father came to comfort them saying,

“Do not fear, do not worry, and do not dread the days ahead for I will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. You can trust me.”

As the people responded in confident trust, the gripping fear washed away and peace restored them to rest in His promises.

If you are being driven by fear and anxious thoughts then the Lord wants you to hear His words of truth and words of hope. He is not unaware of what you are facing and He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.

Your sleepless nights that lead your thoughts down dead-end roads and hopeless prospects are being exchanged for the deep sleep of a baby in its mother’s arms and the thoughts that bring your hopes into a vast space with abundance before you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

You will lie down in peace and wake up in joy because the Lord has taken up your cause! Though you have not been able to find your way though the tangled net that you are caught in, watch now: the Lord will rescue you.

I declare peace over you, peace over your mind and peace over your body. Though you don’t feel adequate or able to find your way out of the place that you find yourself in, know this: He is able to rescue you!

“Such is the confidence and steadfast reliance and absolute trust that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Christ qualifies you for success, for breakthrough and for a positive outcome. It is in yielding your life to the place of “absolute reliance and trust through Christ toward God” that your confidence is restored and you are saved.

Have you ever seen a wild deer caught in barbed wire fencing? It will flail in fear only to find itself held tighter in the snare’s grip. When rescuers come to free the deer they must hold it still in order to free it and keep it from greater harm. The Lord is holding you still and cutting away the barbs and snares that you find yourself caught in. Do not fear for He is with you and freeing you from the tangled snare that you are caught in. He is doing for you what you cannot do for yourself!

Be calm, be still and watch to see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf.

The 10:10 Turnaround!

I was praying over someone last night and as I prayed I saw the numbers 10:10; then they reversed position revealing a “new 10:10.” Then the Lord said,

“My abundant life is overtaking and arresting the thief that came to kill, steal, and destroy from my sons and daughters.”

There is a 10:10 (John 10:10) turnaround that is happening.

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying (abundant) life.” John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭

God’s plan and purpose is overtaking the thief’s purposes that have been robbing many of God’s people from experiencing a rich and abundant life.

Once again I am reminded of what the Lord has been speaking to me so much this past season regarding fear: partnering with it unlocks and opens the back door that the enemy (thief) comes through. As God’s people are exchanging a spirit of fear for the fear of the Lord, which encompasses His perfect love (which casts out fear), it is evicting the thief from their lives and closing the doors that he’s come through.

John 10:7-9 say this,

“…I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.”‭‭

Jesus is the gate that we enter through, and as we allow Him to be the only opening (doorway) in our lives then we will experience good green pastures that the thief cannot enter. The foundation of the fear of the Lord is the gateway to many promises. It is the divine turnaround of John 10:10!

This is where we begin to feast upon the promises found in Psalm 23.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD.” Psalm 23:5-6‬ ‭

The thief may be present in this world but even in the presence of our enemies God prepares a feast of His goodness and unfailing love for His people. Jesus is the entrance gate to this place and the thief cannot come in.

This is a 10:10 turnaround that is evicting the thief, along with the fear and trauma that he has brought upon so many. The fear of the Lord, which fully encompasses His perfect and unfailing love, is being restored in His people’s lives. It is a holy SHIFT that is resetting lives and restoring promises and inheritances that were stolen.

Enter into the turnaround and the shift that releases rich, satisfying, and abundant life to you. Sow your faith into the fear of the Lord and enter into a fast from every other fear.

He Has Promised to Prosper You and Not Harm You

God’s promises are real! Do you believe that? His promises of blessings and help are not just nice words to give you false hope but they are promises from God and He cannot lie!

Human hope is more of a “wish” than Biblical hope which is “assurance” but many believers live expecting adversity and lack and “hope” (wish for) a more positive outcome.

I had the privileged of spending a number of years as a part of Patricia King’s team in Kelowna, B.C., Canada. I think the one of the most powerful thing I received during those years was her constant conviction that said,

“If you put your faith out for lack that is what you will get but if you put your faith in His promises then you will receive what He has promised.”

Our family has spend many of years in full time ministry, being paid through the generosity of those who were moved by the Holy Spirit to support us. In the early days I would spend more time fretting and worrying that we would lack then believing what He promised. This was often how things ended up which reinforced my fear and doubts. It is where I put my “faith”. God dealt with me according to His love and did a deep work in my heart that moved me from fear to true faith. True faith releases the hope that assures the good result (fruit).

God walked me through a process that took my life from fear to peace. It is a peace that surpasses what my eyes see or my mind understands. It is a peace that is founded in the truth that it is my Father’s good pleasure to keep His promises and to bless me with all the benefits of being His daughter. It is not your Heavenly Father’s desire to harm you in any way…it is His great desire to bless you with every good and perfect gift.

One of the things that I discovered as He began to walk me out of the bondage of fear was to show me who He is as a Father. I was operating out of an orphan spirit; the poverty spirit is like conjoined twins with the orphan spirit. They walk hand in hand (or head to head); always believing that the Father seeks to punish, demand performance and then leave you suffering with lack, confusion and harm. The person with an orphan spirit deeply desires to be wanted and yet finds it inconceivable that they actually can be wanted or loved. The orphan spirit chains the believer to unbelief because it cannot coexist with the true love of the Father or the peace that comes from this truth. The poverty spirit easily coexists with the orphan spirit because they both are founded on lies, doubt, unbelief and hope deferred.

When I was set free from the orphan spirit the poverty spirit had to go as well. I began to KNOW and BELIEVE every promise of God. Rather than spend my nights in a sleepless state of trying to figure out how I would find my way out of constant pending disappointment and lack; I was able to lay my head down at night knowing that my Heavenly Father had everything I needed and even things that I desired for me. I didn’t have to have a back up plan or try to convince myself that God was good but somehow I was bad and deserved this treatment. My faith had been based on outcome; not His promises.

Do you dare to believe with the hope that assures that God (Your Father) desires to prosper you and not harm you? The Word of God is 100% truth! You can lay down tonight knowing that He will keep His promises.

Jeremiah 29:11-14

11 For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope. 12 When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers. 13 When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul, 14 I will make myself available to you,’ says the Lord.

The Spirit of the Lord says to you tonight, “My child, you can rest assured of my love and promises for good and not evil in your life. Only believe.”

The words “Rest Assured” means that you will receive the best of care…this is the truth!

Let Hope Arise

I was on a prayer assignment with a team this week and before we went out we were hearing the verse from Hebrews 6:19-20,

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” Hebrews‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭

What promise are we hoping for? It is found in the verse prior,

“…saying, ‘Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.’” Hebrews 6:14

As we went out on our prayer assignment, every place we went we saw anchors. God was declaring hope over His people and over our nation.

The thief (Satan) is the one who plots and plans how to break through the stronghold of hope to devour the believer. Yet, we know that though he comes to kill, steal, and destroy that we have the hope and assurance of abundant life in Jesus (John 10:10).

This “hope” is not wishful thinking or a foolish desire; it is an anchor that secures you to His promise. It is so sure and weighty that as long as you have hope you are unmovable. The waves will not cause you to drift into the enemy’s fury. Our hope is absolute assurance!

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1

The large anchor that holds a ship in place cannot be seen when it is firmly planted in the deep foundations of the sea floor, and yet it is what holds the ship in place; it secures it. If hope is our anchor then it is also embedded in the unseen, and yet it is what holds us securely in place.

In the book, “Anne of Green Gables,” there is a moment where Anne is in despair and declares that she has no hope, to which her adoptive mother Miranda sternly rebukes her,

“To lose hope is to turn your back on God.”

It sounds harsh and yet how true it is! Every time I’ve ever been tempted to lose hope I remember that quote. Why would I sever my life from the anchor that holds me to His love and His promise to bless and multiply me?

God made this promise to Abraham as well. Abraham was counted as righteous because he had faith in the One who promised to bless him and multiply him.

“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:8-10‬ ‭

Jesus, our Anchor, is the builder and maker—the great architect—of all of the plans and promises over our lives, families, and lands. We can put our hope in the “Author and Finisher” of our hope and faith.

Abraham faced many trials along the journey to his promise and yet, even as he wavered at times, he never lost hope or severed himself from the anchor. God blessed and multiplied him and we are the offspring of Abraham…his promise is an “inheritance promise” to all who have put their hope in God.

You may be facing trials and feel a bit tossed by the waves, but do not lose hope. Do not turn your back on God! You are secured in His love and the promise that He gave to Abraham now belongs to you,

“I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies.”

Your anchor of hope is sure!
