You Will Tremble As You See The Goodness Of The Lord Come Upon The Desolate Places

by Kathi Pelton

When we think of trembling we usually think of fear or a cold chill. It is rarely spoken in the context of something good. But there is a trembling that happens in moments of awe and wonder. It catches you off guard causing you to collapse in joyful tears under the weight of such goodness.

We see this kind of trembling when a young child sees their daddy for the first time after a long military tour or when two lovers who have been separated by a great distance are finally able to embrace. We see this when a mother holds her newborn baby or the first time that the daughter that my husband and I fought to adopt was finally placed in our arms. It is a trembling that comes from the awe of a long awaited desire fulfilled.

“And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them. They shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:9‬ ‭

Though this verse is speaking of the restoration of Jerusalem; as I awoke this morning the Lord gave it to me for His Bride…you! The Lord is about to show you His faithfulness in such a way that it will leave you trembling in awe. The display and manifestation of His goodness and prosperity upon your life will also cause your enemies to fear and tremble as they see all the plans they sent against you crumble before the goodness of God.

Though you’ve felt like a barren and desolate city, soon you will watch as the faithful goodness of the Lord overtakes all that stood against you; causing you to prosper with shouts of great joy! This will be the sound that comes forth from your life,

“…the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord: ‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!’ For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:11‬ ‭

This was His promise for the holy city of Jerusalem and it is His promise over you. He is good and He is your Restorer. Now is the time to shout His goodness over your desolate area! Shout it over the barren wombs, bad reports and those who are sick. Shout it over every waste place. Shout to that place of dread in the pit of your stomach. Fill your lack with shouts of, “The Lord is good!”

His promises are true and they are sure! Therefore, you can begin to release the voice of gladness be heard even now. The enemy has been shouting with a voice of dread, hopelessness and accusation for far too long. His voice comes and sucks the air out of the room and out of your lungs because it is the voice of lies and darkness. Break all agreements with that voice because it only comes to kill, steal and destroy.

It is time to raise the voice of the redeemed. Let the sound of those who have been given abundant life go into the atmosphere and into the land. Let us shout,

“Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Watch as a trembling of awe and wonder returns to His Church! This tremble will cause mountains to fall and desolate places to blossom with goodness and prosperity.

Washington DC Bound!

On May 29th, my daughter and son-in-law (Luke & Amy) are joining me on a trip to Washington DC to be with the Awaken the Dawn & David’s Tent family.

God is opening doors of favor upon them and it is such a great joy (as their mom) to be a part of seeing them blossom in this season of their lives. They understand that Jesus deserves every life and every nation…He alone is our hope!

If you would like to stand with us in prayer as we go; we’d so appreciate that gift!

If you would prayerfully consider sowing financially into our trip that would be an amazing help! We’d be forever grateful! The link to donate is: https://www.inscribeministries.com/

You are amazing and we will not let go until we see God’s longing for our nation (and every nation) fulfilled. Thank you and we pray abundant blessings upon you as you pray and give.

With Love~ Kathi Pelton

New England Trip Update

First, I want to tell all of my readers and followers who rose up and gave financially to help fund this trip…THANK YOU! All that has happened and that has begun is counted as your reward as well. We are declaring abundant multiplication upon you and your household.

We are still in Boston and will fly back to the West Coast Thursday afternoon. The trip has been one that has been marked by heart connections. From the divine appointment that healed a mother’s heart on the plane to the touching the heart of our nation.

Though I cannot yet share all of the details from our time (because they are still unfolding), I want you to know that God is gathering His family throughout the nations and yes, even in our beautiful nation. We are seeing the unfolding of Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21,

“…that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they may also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

This week I saw many strong leaders and ministries come to understand that we are not separated by giftings or callings but that as we come together as one, we form the fullness of His heart and His body.

There is a great humility coming upon those who will lay down their crowns (their personal ministries, their titles, their rights and their names) for the sake of being one. We are one family and one body made up of different parts but as we are rightly joined we function as we were created to be…as one bride.

Every time we sat down with an individual or a group or leaders of a ministry we found that we share the same heart. We realized in a greater measure that what we are carrying may all be the same and as the puzzle pieces of our hearts and lives are joined we reveal Jesus and we become a light that the world will be drawn to.

As the details become more defined I will share more. What I did want to share is that God began a convergence of hearts. Many ministries as well as fathers, mothers, sons and daughters now are connecting as one family. We joined in the place where our nation’s foundations began and witnessed new foundations of God’s original intent for His people…oneness with Him and one another.

Continue to pray that as we walk upon the historic foundations of our land today. Pray that we will release the love of God and the unity of the Spirit into the atmosphere and into the people that we meet.

Thank you once again for your prayers and financial support. If you desire to sow into this trip to cover the final cost or desire to help us with the our next trips (a tour through California, British Columbia, Boston, Ontario and Washington D.C.) you can donate at: https://www.inscribeministries.com/

Testimony of a 4/4 Open Door!

by Kathi Pelton

On Sunday, March 31st, my husband and I were given a financial gift and amazing prophetic word. The word was that the gift was the key to open doors…many doors. The Lord had us use this financial gift to open our ministry’s new bank account that will fund the open doors. As we opened the account the 25-year old bank account specialist began to open up her heart to us and we immediately had an open door into her life and spent two hours ministering to her. We knew that this was a “first fruits of the open doors.”

Then, yesterday on 4/4 (the fourth letter of the modern Hebrew alphabet is dalet and means “door.”), I had a call with a leader from a national ministry that suddenly became another open door. God opened the door for me to go to Boston and Rhode Island next week with some of the Awaken the Dawn national leadership team to join them with meetings in those areas. I had asked the Lord for confirmation prior to the call about converging with them and the confirmation came in the most personal and prophetic way (I won’t share the details but I was literally speechless).

Then, the Lord spoke to me and said that He was going to raise up people to partner with Him to fund this “last minute” trip (as you know, plane ticket fares go up a lot when you book them right before a trip). Within 4-hours the full amount for two plane tickets came in. I thought that I would be going with my husband but the Lord spoke to me and said, “Ask your daughter, Amy.”

It made no sense to me why He was asking this but I obeyed. When I asked her she immediately responded with a yes and reminded me that one year ago she received a prophetic word that said,

The Lord will send you to Boston in 2019.”

Prophecy fulfilled! I had totally forgotten about this.

Later that afternoon, I sat to write my very first check out of our new ministry bank account (for open doors) to cover the plane tickets and as I signed the check a notification alert came on my phone and one of my dearest friends had sent me a screenshot that was 4:44 on 4/4. I had written the check for our first open door out of our “open door account” on 4/4 at 4:44!! You can’t make this stuff up!!

I wanted to share this with you because we often hear prophetic words but don’t often hear the testimonies that fulfill them. I want to encourage you in this time of open doors and suddenlies. God is on the move!

As a side note, if you would like to partner with the Lord for the expenses of this week long trip that we are going on (plane tickets are covered but there will be expenses as well) then you can go to our website at: https://www.inscribeministries.com/ and donate through the homepage. I believe that the Spirit spoke to me and said that those who partner with Him in this time will also see doors open in their lives.

April is an open door threshold we can cross over and there is no “April Fools” about that!

Breaking the Roots of Poverty

by Kathi Pelton

When we think of poverty we usually think of those who lack basic needs and live in less than desirable conditions. Yet, a poverty spirit can exist in a person who lives in a mansion, drives a fancy car, and takes extravagant vacations. Often the poverty spirit will mask itself in greed. Greed is defined as an intense and selfish desire for something; especially wealth, power, or food.

Greed is addictive and often insatiable. It always needs more and feels a lack even in the midst of abundance. Why is this? It is because often greed is just the pain of a poverty spirit taking control. It may start with a true need but if not dealt with it can quickly become a black hole that can never be filled or satisfied.

Psalm 23 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…”

There is a filling up and overflow of every good and perfect thing when we become part of our Good Shepherd’s flock.

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32

When we come to know Christ as our Savior we become sons and daughters of God. As we fully leave the “orphan spirit”—which walks hand in hand with a spirit of poverty—in order to receive the spirit of sonship, we become aware that we not only are a part of a family but are also joint heirs with the Kingdom of God; a kingdom that has no lack. His Kingdom is filled with abundance, beauty, fruit, resources, relationship, love, and every good and perfect gift.

In the place of sonship our lives go from having our roots planted in a dry and desert land, where there is always lack and thirst, to being planted by streams of refreshing waters and fruitful orchards where we thrive in every season.

Greed often begins in need! The deep need for a father, a family, a place to call home is inherent in every person because that is how God made us. When that need is not met we take on an orphan spirit that believes that there is no one to watch over them, therefore the person becomes their own self-protector and “self” becomes the focus for the sake of survival. Eventually this “self” focus will take root and give place to greed.

In the Book of Luke, chapter 12:13-21 we read about the parable of the rich fool who stored up his treasures on earth but did not have relationship with God. He stored up an abundance and then decided to live to satisfy the desires of his flesh. That night he died leaving his earthly storehouse behind yet having no heavenly treasure stored up.

“Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”” Luke‬ ‭12:15‬

The end of this parable says this,

““Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”” Luke‬ ‭12:21‬ ‭

Need that is filled outside of a rich relationship with God merely becomes greed that will make you a fool. The person who invests in a rich relationship with God will be a person who gives generously and yet lacks no good thing. That person will be rich in life and when death comes he will have eternal treasures stored up that will have no end.

God desires to give you the gift of sonship which will satisfy you and make you generous in every way. A greedy person becomes an idolater, worshipping the things of this world (Ephesians 5:5), and never being satisfied. As sons and daughters we have been given the Kingdom of God which lacks nothing. We can give to others in need without fear of being left in want. We can love others more than ourselves without fear of not having our needs met. We can become selfless and still know that we have a Father that watches over every detail of our lives.

Part of the amazing gift that God is giving His people in these days is the gift of freedom that has kept His people from the fullness of sonship. We were not created to live in the grip of “want” that leads to the captivity of greed. If you sense a root of greed that stems from a poverty or orphan spirit then God is reaching out to you to set you free. He will exchange the orphan identity for the identity of a son or daughter. He will exchange the deep fears of poverty and lack for the assurance of His Kingdom that has peace and plenty. He will exchange the greed that never satisfies with the riches of relationship with Him that make you generous. Lastly, He will set you free from being self-focused to being Christ-focused, which will make you a light to the world.

It is His great love that offers you this supernatural exchange!

Your “But God…” Moment Is Upon You!

by Kathi Pelton

• When God speaks, bad reports become praise reports.

• When God moves, dark storms become still waters.

• When God blesses, a small offering is multiplied into abundant supply.

• When God touches, the blind man sees and the lame man dances.

• When God commands, mountains move and a way is made.

• When God delivers, demons flee and men are restored.

• When God loves, broken lives are forever changed!

Every day with God is a day of miracles! Whatever your need is today, there is a “But God…” opportunity before you. No matter how big or how small, how crucial or how trivial; He loves to speak, move, bless, deliver and love you.

Do not be discouraged by the challenges that are before you because they are about to become your “But God…” testimony. Get excited because if God is for you then who (or what) can stand against you?

“God, today we stand with great expectation to hear you speak, to see you move, to witness your touch, to watch you command, to experience your deliverance and to live within the power of your love!”

There is a “But God…” moment about to invade your story!

The Beauty of Tears Offered As Praise

Kathi Pelton

Last night my husband and I sat with four young people that we love deeply. A couple of them were experiencing profound pain, so we put aside the night’s “agenda” and we sat with them, held their hands, held them and then all six of us began to weep together. We wept with deep intercession and tender love. Jesus was so present there weeping with us.

Then the young man began began to offer his pain as praise declaring, “You are worthy of my praise in the midst of pain.” His tears became drops of worship like the costly perfume offered over the feet of Jesus by Mary. The pain in the room was so real but the praise offered in the midst of the pain released a sweet aroma that filled the room with His presence and beauty.

We were all undone as we entered into the hope and the offering of praise in the face of pain.

Romans 12:15 says,

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”

We have become well-acquainted with both weeping and rejoicing with the ones that we love. We know that pain lasts a night but “joy comes in the morning.” Sometimes the nights are long but surely morning will come and then together we will rejoice.

All too often we are quick to try to “cheer someone up” rather than merely sit with them while they let their tears flow. What if we stopped and wept with them with no answers or words? If we would do this we would probably experience what we witnessed last night: a time where in the midst of pain the alabaster jar is broken and the costly perfume of praise that was formed in the pain is poured out upon His feet. Each one of us entered into the weeping and then received the anointing of the perfume that was released.

The words, “Nothing is wasted, nothing is wasted…” were whispered through the tears and I want you to know: your pain is not wasted, your tears aren’t falling upon the ground but rather upon His feet. Not one is wasted.

Jesus wept!

He weeps with you and turns the tears and pain offered as praise into an oil that anoints His feet and fills the atmosphere with the sweetest and most costly fragrance. Because the offering out of pain is far more costly.

For those who are in a “night of weeping”—let it flow out until it intermingles with His presence where it will becomes a sacrifice of praise that fills the room. It is so beautiful.

Going Deeper

by Kathi Pelton

There is an insatiable thirst that is present in the lives of God’s people that causes them to run after Him with a desperate abandonment. It is like a man on a desert road in the scorching sun who begins to thirst. He will go to any lengths to get a drink and when he finally does he will drink deeply. Thirst is a gift because it causes us to search for Him like a man in search of water. There are times that seem as if the drink that we so desperately desire evades our reach. But it is in those times that room is made in the depths of our souls for drinking deep.

In Luke 5 we find Simon frustrated from a long night of fishing with no results. He is tired, empty handed and though it does not say he was desperate, one can imagine the desperation he felt after having no results or pay off for all of his work. In verse 4 the Lord addresses Simon saying,

“Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”

Desperation causes us to do what we wouldn’t do if we had been given what we had wanted in our first attempt. Simon responded to the Lord’s request and went out once again. He threw his nets into the deep waters and found more than he could ask or imagine when he pulled in his nets.

There have been many times in my life when I feel as though I have worked through a long night season only to come up short and it is in those times that the Lord speak similar words to me,

“Daughter, go deeper. Throw yourselves into the depths of My love and watch what you draw in.”

Then, like Simon, who fell on his knees before the Lord, I find myself in a new awareness of how great His love is toward me and I fall on my knees before Him once again. When I once again drink deep of His love I begin to experience the manifestation of Psalm 42:7,

“Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.”

Once again my heart finds courage and I am given a renewed boldness to run after Him knowing that with every step I am drawn into greater depths. I cry out the words from Romans 11:33 that say,

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”

Hunger and thirst is a gift. Desperation and pain is a gift. Longing and waiting is a gift. Even hope deferred can be a gift because it is there that we are invited into the deep places and can experience the unsearchable and unfathomable ways of His love. Desire fulfilled is far more beautiful to the desperately thirsty soul than it is to the satisfied soul. He is calling you deeper…and deeper still. Let Him draw you into the deep waters where you will find a love beyond comprehension.

From Hope Deferred to Desire Fulfilled

By Kathi Pelton

It was August of 1987 I was jolted out of a dream—where my greatest desire had been fulfilled—back into the reality of my constant state of hope deferred. In the dream I held my baby daughter. It hadn’t felt like a typical dream; It seemed I had actually been taken somewhere and held my desire fulfilled for the very first time. I had never felt such love or beheld such beauty. When I awoke it was as if she was torn from my arms, and deep waves of grief flooded my soul.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive a baby for years with no success. We had gone through all the medical tests and the problem was with me. I had been going through fertility treatments for over two years at that point, with no sign of improvement. I’d often find myself wondering why so many women who didn’t want their babies or who considered them “disposable” could conceive but my husband and I, who ached for a baby, were left barren. I knew God had not abandoned us but I did not see His plan in this.

Four months after my beautiful dream, we received a call from a pastor who had recently counseled a fifteen-year-old mother; four months earlier she had given birth prematurely to a little girl and this mother wanted to give her up for adoption. The pastor had heard that we wanted a baby but were unable to conceive, and the Lord put it on his heart to call us and ask if we were interested in adopting this little girl.

We were overwhelmed with excitement and immediately said “yes!” Although it took nine months from the day of that phone call to walk out the miraculous story of getting our daughter, not only did we get to bring her home just before her first birthday, but I was four months pregnant when we did! We found out that she was born the same month I had the dream of holding my baby daughter, and the name that her young birth mother gave her meant “longed for” or “desired one.”

Now, thirty years later, I am watching our youngest daughter and her husband face the same pain. After years of trying to conceive a child they are in that painful grip of hope deferred. I see the pain in their eyes and the helpless struggle that her husband feels to comfort his wife as she silently aches inside. As her mom, I keenly understand the pain, the constant ache, and the many thoughts of “Why?”

The beauty of my story of adoption and the pain of my daughter’s journey of hope deferred made the recent news of the late-term abortion bill in New York State that much more of a sting. The issue has been before us for decades, but for whatever reason this particular ruling has acted as a tripwire that woke many out of the spiritual stupor of prayerlessness. It ignited a burning desire to see this horrific, defiling waste of life stop.

As I prayed the Lord showed me that the church has been in a continuous “ebb and flow” of prayer regarding the issue of abortion. With every ebb the enemy would take that time to advance his agenda to kill the sons and daughters of tomorrow. His deceptions and lies would advance his cause to rob God, and rob the world, of the very inheritance the Son died for. Each year nearly sixty million abortions occur worldwide. Sixty million!

If that fifteen-year-old girl had given into the “ease” of solving her unwanted pregnancy through abortion, our daughter would not exist. That beautiful baby that fulfilled my greatest longing would have been merely a statistic that only our God truly grieved for.

Most abortions are not performed on teens, but rather women in their young twenties. If only they knew that what they carried in their wombs could fill the arms of a couple that longed to cherish and love a son or daughter! If only they understood that even before this child’s conception, God dreamed of this life, made plans for this life, and knew this life  intimately.

If only we, as His people, had stopped to pray.

Something has happened, and it has awakened the church and awakened women to rise up and fight for these little lives that cannot fight for themselves. Their mothers have been blinded and deceived by the enemy of God, the deceiver who has written a different narrative telling our culture that a life is not a life until it is outside of the womb. God forgive us for our prayerlessness and for not facing the evil giant called abortion.

Together we are now going as one, in the power of His might and the name of His Son, to face this giant until it is defeated. No more ebb and flow, but rather a continuous flow of resurrection power coming from those who have received LIFE!  May the word adoption replace abortion and may hope deferred be replaced by desires fulfilled.

Choose life!

All Hail King Jesus

Kathi Pelton

These are the words that have been repeating in my thoughts and heart all morning, “All Hail King Jesus!”

I had a vision on Sunday during our worship service of a glass ceiling shattering. Before it shattered I saw the ceiling and upon it was the images of our faces. I asked Him, “Why are our images creating a ceiling between heaven and earth…between us and You?”

Immediately He began to show me that His people tend to stop at “our personal limitations.” In other words, we limit Him based on our image rather than His. I began to allow my worship to exalt Him for who He is and all that He is worthy of. As I did He took me above my limitations (and the limitations of this earthly realm) into the limitless image and infinite goodness of who He is. As this happened the ceiling shattered and it became an open heaven.

He was being exalted for who He is not for what I see of Him in me or even who I understand or perceive Him to be. It’s difficult to put into words because it was like going into the depths, heights and width of His image and His love that has no beginning and no end. In this place the sound that I experienced declares, “All Hail King Jesus!”

It was a place of greater surrender and yielding to worship and enthroned Him in a limitless place; a place that crowns Him above all else.

Because this was and is a work of the Spirit, I encourage you to ask the Spirit of the Lord to usher you into this place of worship and surrender that breaks any ceiling that has been created due to your own self image or any earthly understanding. It is time for an open heaven!

He is worthy of it ALL! As He is enthroned upon every part of us; our families, our cities, our nations and our worship, we will see how He is given back what is rightfully His. He will be Lord of all and we will not only sing, “All Hail King Jesus” but we will see the world begin to have their eyes open to who He really is. A limitless, infinite and eternal God who “so loves the world!”
