He Makes The Darkness Tremble

by Kathi Pelton

As many of you know, I asked for prayer yesterday (and wow, I got it!). I have an amazing prayer team that covers us, our ministry and our family so I don’t normally “go public!” Yesterday I did because I knew that the name of Jesus makes the darkness tremble and that my faithful friends and followers would speak His name and each time they would that light would dispel darkness.

I don’t know if what I’ve been dealing with recently is warfare, just being worn-down or witchcraft (or all three) but I do know that, whatever the case is, His name sheds light and changes the atmosphere! Just the mention of His name makes the darkness tremble! Through His grace I can handle difficult circumstances and physical challenges (not that I invite them!) but when I can’t find the One my heart longs for it becomes time to make the darkness tremble at the mention of His name!

There has been a increased level of warfare coming at God’s people. I don’t say that to glorify the enemy or to focus on the battle but as God’s people have been arising with such beauty, unity, power and surrender they are taking back ground that has been long held by the enemy. His “kingdom” is being shaken by the unshakable Kingdom of God! A great army is arising…dry bones are coming to life! This has created a great battle in the heavens and on the earth.

As we witness tragedies like the death of Toby Mac’s young son, the suicides of well-loved and known young pastors, and the intense warfare over our leaders and president, we must remember that we have a name that we can all upon who rescues and saves. When I’m at a complete loss I will often just sit and repeat His name over and over. His name washes over me like waves of mercy that remove the fog and confusion. Within His name is every answer needed to rescue and save us from even the greatest despair.

As I read about the loss of Toby Mac’s, and his wife Amanda’s, sudden loss of their precious son, all I could do was speak the name of Jesus as a prayer over them. Jesus knows what it is like to feel the weight of the deepest grief and our Heavenly Father has also watched His Son die. He is acquainted with with our sorrows and deepest grief.

“He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.” Isaiah 53:3

Jesus took all grief, sorrow, sin and hopelessness upon Himself on the cross and purchased victory. We are no longer hopeless, even in death! We are comforted by the victory of eternal life and a grace that carries us into His resurrection. Jesus not only made the darkness tremble but He defeated death and the grave! He is always the joy set before us; there is no circumstance in which we have been left to utter hopelessness. His life and light gives us an abiding place where hope is alive.

When you feel the darkness closing in around you, declare the name of Jesus and watch the darkness tremble. When death surrounds you, Jesus brings the hope of resurrection life! When sorrow overwhelms you, Jesus comforts you and lifts you up out of despair. When lack is all you see, Jesus blesses your “small offering” and feeds the multitudes; leaving you with much more than you began with (see Mark 8:8). Victory is sure, no matter the circumstance; for nothing can reverse what He has already done!

We do face sorrows and suffering but not without hope. We face battles but with victory assured, because the greatest battle is death and that has already been defeated!

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

The darkness cannot separate you from the love of God that is in our precious Savior! He makes the darkness tremble and He opens graves with resurrection life! Just the mention of His name brings light and life.

Thank you to all who mentioned His name over my life yesterday! You brought light and lifted me above the darkness. Let’s do that for those in need today. Let’s call out on the name of Jesus for those suffering and in deep grief

. We are an army of light and His name is written upon our hearts. We will arise and declare into the atmosphere and into nations the worth of Jesus. We will shout about the victory of our King.

Let’s join Him in making the darkness tremble today! Release so much light that even graves burst open with resurrection life! An army of light is rising up declaring the name of Jesus!

Rejoicing and Weeping

by Kathi Pelton

I don’t often take the time to just scroll through social media but this morning I did. As I did I found myself rejoicing at posts that announced great news (the birth of a baby, a miracle, a reunion with a loved one, etc.) but then as I scrolled further I’d come upon some of the most painful, heart wrenching posts I can imagine. I went from praising God for His goodness to pleading with Him for comfort and mercy within mere seconds.

We are all in different seasons; some are in seasons of great joy, new beginnings and seeing long awaited desires fulfilled. Others have suddenly been swept into loss, grief and pain that leaves them barely able to breathe. And of course there are those who are just journeying along in a season of “normal everyday life.”

We have all known and experienced these three very diverse season in life. So where is God in the midst of tragedy while another is dancing for joy?

He is in both. Though we cannot comprehend why tragedies occur, especially to those whose lives have been committed to Jesus, still they do. I have lived through them and through them found a different aspect of God that changed my life for the better. The tragic or painful seasons were where I had to live “in the deep.” It is there that I learned the truth of His faithfulness when every circumstance and emotion screamed out, “Where are you God?”

Life is a journey of hills and valleys, grassy fields and desert sand, jumping for joy and falling down in deep grief. We don’t get to escape any of it and yet we do get to discover that our God is faithful through it all. His goodness does not change, His promises do not end and His love does not waver.

How is it that God can be bending down to comfort and help the one going through the deepest pain and in the same moment dancing over the one who has found Him or who is celebrating a great victory. How is it that one experiences a miracle while another a tragic loss. He’s not a God of contradictions but rather a God who is near to all. He can weep and rejoice without contradiction. He can perform a miracle one moment and leave us wondering why He didn’t in the next moment. Or maybe we don’t understand what a miracle looks like? God is not limited to one expression or confined to an “either or”…He is the God of “Both and…”

Just as I found myself this morning rejoicing one second and in tears the next as I viewed posts on social media; even more I was aware that God was with all, in all and faithful to all. His faithfulness is as true in the tragedies as in the triumphs. His love is as complete and undiminished in the pain as it is in the promise fulfilled.

One of my favorite verses to meditate on and to speak on is Hebrews 11:11. Those who know me will often hear me emphasize the truth hidden within this verse,

“And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:11‬ ‭

The part that has impacted my life isn’t the promise fulfilled but rather the words, “…she considered him faithful who had made the promise.”

The promised didn’t come for years and Sarah and Abraham wavered in their emotions about the promise. But she began with the conviction of His faithfulness. I, too, have chosen to “consider” (judge, discern) Him faithful in my life and daily choices. That is my life standard. I have determined that though seasons change, my emotions change, my perspective varies and my circumstances change…HIS FAITHFULNESS IS UNCHANGING!

I may need to be reminded of this in a time of pain and I may need others to help hold me on this truth when I do not understand the journey; but I choose this as my truth and my anchor.

We can rejoice with one and weep with another without contradictions. We do not have to understand the “whys” to declare Him as faithful. One day we will all understand and know that our faith was and is justified. Until that day, determine one thing…HE IS FOREVER FAITHFUL! In everything “consider Him faithful.”

Seasons come and seasons go but His steadfast love endures forever. This is your anchor.

It’s A Good Friday To Have A Passover!

by Kathi Pelton

For only the second time this century, Good Friday and the first night of Passover will coincide. While Christians around the world will be remembering the “Lamb that was slain” to set us free from the captivity of slavery to sin, the Jews will be gathering around that table to remember the blood of the lamb that was put upon the doorposts and their freedom from the captivity of Egyptian slavery.

For months the word, “convergence” has been coming out of my mouth as I witness divine convergences emerging everywhere. Yet, the greatest convergence ever known to mankind is that which converged the hopeless depravity of man (and sin) with the perfect hope of the shed blood of Jesus that cleanses our sin. His blood has become our freedom from captivity and slavery!

When we read about the terrible conditions that the Jewish people endured, enslaved in Egypt for 400 years, it is almost unthinkable. From heavy labor in despicable conditions, to the killing of their first born sons, they had all but lost hope.

Sin is the same kind of slavery! It causes men and women to take on such a heavy load (yoke) and brings death to every good thing. Sin causes even the most wealthy to live in vile conditions from which no money can set them free.

Good Friday is the day we remember the price that was paid, not in money, but in blood and in love, to set us free. It cost Him everything and cost us nothing but our “Yes!” We will declare, “I believe and I receive the blood that sets me free.”

Let us pray for the Jewish people around the world, that today as they sit down for their Passover meal that their eyes would be opened to see the true Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ. As these two days that represent freedom from captivity converge, let us declare over all who are still in slavery to sin and the captivity of the world: FREEDOM!

Roar out the good news! Don’t hold back but allow the sound of freedom and the sound of salvation become the sound of chains falling to the floor. Roar it over your family, roar it over your city, roar it over your nation, and roar it over all of creation!

“Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’” John‬ ‭8:34-36‬ ‭

The blood that was shed by our Messiah became the ink that signed our adoption papers. We are no longer slaves but now we are sons. Our “yes” and His blood become the grace that puts us in family and restores to us the full inheritance of a son, and to the Son His full inheritance in us.

This is a very Good Friday! Our Passover Lamb has redeemed us and sets us free from the slavery of sin. May His blood be placed upon the “doorpost” of every person that has yet to come to the knowledge of the cross. Pray and decree the blood of the Lamb over all that you are carrying.

The blood of Jesus speaks a better word over their life and over your life!

“You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.” Hebrews 12:24

Today there is a better word being spoken over your life and over your loved ones. Where you have cried out for vengeance begin to cry out for the blood that speaks forgiveness and releases the new covenant. There is power in the blood!

My Divine Appointment

by Kathi Pelton

I am in awe at how God orchestrated the divine appointment I had on an airplane this past Friday.

I was flying Southwest Airlines which is an airline that gives you three group that you board with and then it is a matter of getting whatever seats are available. I always pre-check 24-hours ahead when flying Southwest in order to get in the first group boarding. Somehow for this trip I completely forgot until not many hours before the flight. I am traveling with my 25-year old daughter, Amy, so now we were both put into the last group to board which would mean we wouldn’t sit together and we’d both get middle seats. Honestly, I was a bit frustrated at my forgetfulness since pre-check in had been on my mind and Was not something I ever forget to do.

When it was time for our last group to board the plane the counter person announced to our group that it will be a full plane and to take the first seat available. As I walked onto the plane I set my purse on the first seats available directly in front of my daughter. I then realized there wasn’t any overhead room for my carry-on. Leaving my purse on my seat, I went further down the aisle find an overhead compartment to store my carry-on case.

After storing it about ten rows back from where I’d set me purse down the flight attendant asked if I could sit down near where I was. I first began to sit next to a man and she said, “No, not there.” (he was a very large man so I think she was being kind to us both). So I looked on the other side and saw two women talking; one on the aisle and one by the window and asked if I could sit between them. They agreed even though they were obviously traveling together.

My daughter brought me my purse from the original seat that I had chosen and as she did I immediately thought, “God moved me for a reason.” So I began to listen.

About thirty minutes into the flight I looked at the lady near the window and heard the Lord say, “Tell her that daughter will be okay.” Then I asked the Lord if He had more to say and He said, “Ask her if her daughter’s middle name is Rose because she will fully blossom and fulfill her purpose in life.”

She had headphones in so I waited so as to not interrupt her. Finally, I just excused myself to speak to her. When I told her that the Lord spoke to me to tell her that her daughter was going to be okay her eyes filled with tears and she said, “My 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer in November.”

This mom was far more scared than her daughter. She said that her daughter was incredible and brace but she was struggling as she watched her daughter going through chemo and losing her beautiful hair. Her daughter had started donating her hair to “locks for love” (they make wigs for children with cancer who have lost their hair) at four years old. Every year her daughter would grow her hair out and then have it cut to donate it to this organization. She even got her community and peers involved in joining her. Now she had cancer and had lost all of her hair.

Then I asked her if her middle name is Rose (honestly doubting my “hearing” because not too many 16 year olds have the name Rose nowadays!). I shared with her that the Lord showed me that she would fully bloom. She said, “Yes! When I was pregnant with her I saw her as a beautiful rose that would bloom over time so I named her Elizabeth Rose.”

There was more but this mom’s heart was put at ease that her daughter would be okay and God confirmed it with a “rose”. She had already believed in God and believed that God was the one who showed her to add the name Rose to her but I could see how this very personal word was taking her brief to a new place and revealing His love in a very tangible way.

I was reminded through this encounter of how God orders and establishes our steps. He orchestrated every step to assure that I would sit in that very seat because a mom’s heart needed the comforting assurance. I could have remained frustrated at forgetting to do early check in, for having to lose my seat, for a crowded plane and for not being near my daughter but the Spirit has taught me that He has my steps and my seats planned ahead of time. Pay attention when you lose your seat or something disrupts your plans because God may be setting you up to be His mouthpiece. What a good, good Father!

Let us all become more aware of God’s divine orchestration and appointments that He puts before us. I’m so grateful that I didn’t give into doubt and hold back the part about her daughter’s middle name being Rose because that was His signature upon the word that made it unmistakable to this mom.

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm‬ ‭37:5-6‬ ‭

“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way…” Psalms‬ ‭37:23‬ ‭

Let us become more aware of how He is ordering our steps!

April Will Be A Month That Open Doors and Opens Blossoms of Promise!

by Kathi Pelton

When I sat down this morning to write this word about April being a month of open doors, my phone sent me an alert of a new message. That message read, “April literally means ‘To Open’.”

I just about jumped out of my skin! I quickly went and googled the meaning of the name April and here is what I read,

“April goes way back. … One is that the name is rooted in the Latin Aprilis which is derived from the Latin aperire meaning “to open” – which could be a reference to the opening or blossoming of flowers and trees, a common occurrence throughout the month of April in the northern hemisphere.”

April is the fourth month of the year; and the fourth letter in the Hebrew alphabet is “dalet” which means or signifies a door. Though April comes each year as the fourth month, I have never experienced a spiritual awakening or blossoming such as I sense this year. God has highlighted the words “open doors” to me from the moment April began and though we are only a week into it there are daily signs in the spirit and in the natural that is an announcement from heaven that something has opened up!

For me personally, April is one of my favorite months because of the budding or blossoming of the flowers and trees here in North America. Around our city cherry trees are in full pink displays of color. Many of our streets look like they’ve been lined with cotton candy. The dogwood trees are in full bloom and the tulips and daffodils have come out of the ground to announce that Spring has sprung.

Each year I am like a child in a candy shop as I see this visual display of life appearing in the land. But this year there is something more! This year there is a convergence of what is happening in the land and in the Spirit. I know that something has opened! The Lord is speaking the words from Isaiah 22:22,

“I will give him the key to the house of David—the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them.”

If you have read my articles from the past two days about 4/4–isn’t it interesting that this verse is from Isaiah 22:22? Mathematically 22 + 22 becomes 44. I am not being superstitious or over-spiritual because, as a friend pointed out to me yesterday, God has a personal language that is to be found by each one of us. For some of us He uses pictures, numbers, and visual signposts as His signature for us to see. That is often how He confirms things for me. As I put these things together they always add up to a clear confirmation that He is speaking. They will include my seer gift, His voice, the Word of God, and natural signs converging together to bring a clear message.

Jesus is our open door! God is opening doors that no man can close and He is closing doors that no man can open. These open doors will bring new life to His people. Long awaited promises will blossom and times of waiting will end. This open-door time for God’s people will also open doors for those who are ready for a “born again” experience. The seeds, or bulbs, of salvation will suddenly burst forth with great joy as many come into the knowledge of the love of Jesus.

The joy these new believers experience will also become our joy as we cross into this era of birthing new life. I saw a vision of the body of Christ sitting in a “critical care” unit in a hospital (where trauma and loss permeated the air) to suddenly being in a maternity ward where new life, birth, promises fulfilled, and great joy filled the atmosphere!

These open doors will also bring forth open doors for the rights of the unborn to be upheld. Doors will close that take make a way to take life from the doorway of the womb. Adoption will replace abortion!

April is an opening that will cross His people into experiencing “abundant life” like never before. I believe we will even see a baby boom in the natural, and in this baby boom we will see many baby girls that are given the name April!

Begin to declare open doors over your life, children, household, ministry, business, and city! Call forth the new life and begin to praise Him for the blossoming of life and promises being fulfilled.

As April began, the Lord spoke to me and said that there would be no April Fools this year because this is real! This is not a time where we will feel disappointed, as though we were fooled into believing something that didn’t manifest. We will see doors open that bring life and blessings and we will see doors close that have let the thief in (who steals, kills and destroys).

Lastly, I heard the words from His Spirit saying, “I rename you Beulah land.”

“No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.” Isaiah‬ ‭62:4‬ ‭

This is His declaration over you! His delight will come upon you and overtake you!

Testimony of a 4/4 Open Door!

by Kathi Pelton

On Sunday, March 31st, my husband and I were given a financial gift and amazing prophetic word. The word was that the gift was the key to open doors…many doors. The Lord had us use this financial gift to open our ministry’s new bank account that will fund the open doors. As we opened the account the 25-year old bank account specialist began to open up her heart to us and we immediately had an open door into her life and spent two hours ministering to her. We knew that this was a “first fruits of the open doors.”

Then, yesterday on 4/4 (the fourth letter of the modern Hebrew alphabet is dalet and means “door.”), I had a call with a leader from a national ministry that suddenly became another open door. God opened the door for me to go to Boston and Rhode Island next week with some of the Awaken the Dawn national leadership team to join them with meetings in those areas. I had asked the Lord for confirmation prior to the call about converging with them and the confirmation came in the most personal and prophetic way (I won’t share the details but I was literally speechless).

Then, the Lord spoke to me and said that He was going to raise up people to partner with Him to fund this “last minute” trip (as you know, plane ticket fares go up a lot when you book them right before a trip). Within 4-hours the full amount for two plane tickets came in. I thought that I would be going with my husband but the Lord spoke to me and said, “Ask your daughter, Amy.”

It made no sense to me why He was asking this but I obeyed. When I asked her she immediately responded with a yes and reminded me that one year ago she received a prophetic word that said,

The Lord will send you to Boston in 2019.”

Prophecy fulfilled! I had totally forgotten about this.

Later that afternoon, I sat to write my very first check out of our new ministry bank account (for open doors) to cover the plane tickets and as I signed the check a notification alert came on my phone and one of my dearest friends had sent me a screenshot that was 4:44 on 4/4. I had written the check for our first open door out of our “open door account” on 4/4 at 4:44!! You can’t make this stuff up!!

I wanted to share this with you because we often hear prophetic words but don’t often hear the testimonies that fulfill them. I want to encourage you in this time of open doors and suddenlies. God is on the move!

As a side note, if you would like to partner with the Lord for the expenses of this week long trip that we are going on (plane tickets are covered but there will be expenses as well) then you can go to our website at: https://www.inscribeministries.com/ and donate through the homepage. I believe that the Spirit spoke to me and said that those who partner with Him in this time will also see doors open in their lives.

April is an open door threshold we can cross over and there is no “April Fools” about that!

Breaking the Roots of Poverty

by Kathi Pelton

When we think of poverty we usually think of those who lack basic needs and live in less than desirable conditions. Yet, a poverty spirit can exist in a person who lives in a mansion, drives a fancy car, and takes extravagant vacations. Often the poverty spirit will mask itself in greed. Greed is defined as an intense and selfish desire for something; especially wealth, power, or food.

Greed is addictive and often insatiable. It always needs more and feels a lack even in the midst of abundance. Why is this? It is because often greed is just the pain of a poverty spirit taking control. It may start with a true need but if not dealt with it can quickly become a black hole that can never be filled or satisfied.

Psalm 23 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…”

There is a filling up and overflow of every good and perfect thing when we become part of our Good Shepherd’s flock.

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32

When we come to know Christ as our Savior we become sons and daughters of God. As we fully leave the “orphan spirit”—which walks hand in hand with a spirit of poverty—in order to receive the spirit of sonship, we become aware that we not only are a part of a family but are also joint heirs with the Kingdom of God; a kingdom that has no lack. His Kingdom is filled with abundance, beauty, fruit, resources, relationship, love, and every good and perfect gift.

In the place of sonship our lives go from having our roots planted in a dry and desert land, where there is always lack and thirst, to being planted by streams of refreshing waters and fruitful orchards where we thrive in every season.

Greed often begins in need! The deep need for a father, a family, a place to call home is inherent in every person because that is how God made us. When that need is not met we take on an orphan spirit that believes that there is no one to watch over them, therefore the person becomes their own self-protector and “self” becomes the focus for the sake of survival. Eventually this “self” focus will take root and give place to greed.

In the Book of Luke, chapter 12:13-21 we read about the parable of the rich fool who stored up his treasures on earth but did not have relationship with God. He stored up an abundance and then decided to live to satisfy the desires of his flesh. That night he died leaving his earthly storehouse behind yet having no heavenly treasure stored up.

“Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”” Luke‬ ‭12:15‬

The end of this parable says this,

““Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”” Luke‬ ‭12:21‬ ‭

Need that is filled outside of a rich relationship with God merely becomes greed that will make you a fool. The person who invests in a rich relationship with God will be a person who gives generously and yet lacks no good thing. That person will be rich in life and when death comes he will have eternal treasures stored up that will have no end.

God desires to give you the gift of sonship which will satisfy you and make you generous in every way. A greedy person becomes an idolater, worshipping the things of this world (Ephesians 5:5), and never being satisfied. As sons and daughters we have been given the Kingdom of God which lacks nothing. We can give to others in need without fear of being left in want. We can love others more than ourselves without fear of not having our needs met. We can become selfless and still know that we have a Father that watches over every detail of our lives.

Part of the amazing gift that God is giving His people in these days is the gift of freedom that has kept His people from the fullness of sonship. We were not created to live in the grip of “want” that leads to the captivity of greed. If you sense a root of greed that stems from a poverty or orphan spirit then God is reaching out to you to set you free. He will exchange the orphan identity for the identity of a son or daughter. He will exchange the deep fears of poverty and lack for the assurance of His Kingdom that has peace and plenty. He will exchange the greed that never satisfies with the riches of relationship with Him that make you generous. Lastly, He will set you free from being self-focused to being Christ-focused, which will make you a light to the world.

It is His great love that offers you this supernatural exchange!

God Has Promised to Prosper You and Not to Harm You

by Kathi Pelton

God’s promises are real! Do you believe that? His promises of blessings and help are not just nice words to give you false hope but they are promises from God and He cannot lie!

Human hope is more of a “wish” than true Biblical hope which is “assurance”! Many believers live expecting adversity and lack and merely “hope” (wish for) a more positive outcome.

My family had the privileged of spending a number of years as a part of Patricia King’s team in Kelowna, B.C., Canada. I remember during those first years of “living by faith” (often what I’d call “frantic faith” rather than fearless faith) she would often say to me,

“If you put your faith out for lack that is what you will get but if you put your faith in His promises then you will receive what He has promised.”

Our family has now spent many years in full time ministry; being paid through the generosity of those who were moved by the Holy Spirit to support us. In the early days I would spend more time fretting and worrying that we would lack then believing what He promised. This was often how things ended up which reinforced my fear and doubts. It is where I put my “faith”. Yet, God dealt with me according to His love and did a deep work in my heart that moved me from fear to true faith. True faith releases the hope that assures the good result (fruit).

God walked me through a process that took my life from fear to peace. It is a peace that surpasses what my eyes see or my mind understands. It is a peace that is founded in the truth that says it is my Father’s good pleasure to keep His promises and to bless me with all the benefits of being His daughter. It is not your Heavenly Father’s desire to harm you in any way…it is His great desire to bless you with every good and perfect gift.

One of the things that I discovered as He began to walk me out of the bondage of fear was to show me who He is as a Father. I had been living out of an orphan spirit; the poverty spirit is like conjoined twins with the orphan spirit. They walk hand in hand (or head to head); always believing that the Father seeks to punish, demand performance and then leave you suffering with lack, confusion and harm. The person with an orphan spirit deeply desires to be wanted and yet finds it inconceivable that they actually can be wanted or loved. The orphan spirit chains the believer to unbelief because it cannot coexist with the true love of the Father or the peace that comes from this truth. The poverty spirit easily coexists with the orphan spirit because they both are founded on lies, doubt, unbelief and hope deferred. They exist outside of the realm of being a son or daughter who is deeply loved and extravagantly cared for.

When I was set free from the orphan spirit the poverty spirit had to go as well. I began to KNOW and BELIEVE every promise of God. Rather than spend my nights in a sleepless state of trying to figure out how I would find my way out of constant pending disappointment and lack; I was able to lay my head down at night knowing that my Heavenly Father had everything I needed and even things that I desired. I didn’t have to have a back up plan or try to convince myself that God was good but somehow I was bad and deserved this treatment. My faith (or should I say “fear”) had been based on performance and wrong identity; not His promises or in the love of sonship.

Do you dare to believe with the hope that assures that God desires to prosper you and not harm you? The Word of God is 100% truth! You can lay down tonight knowing that He will keep His promises.

Jeremiah 29:11-14

For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope. When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers. When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul, I will make myself available to you,’ says the Lord.

The Spirit of the Lord says to you tonight, “My child, you can rest assured of my love and promises for good and not evil in your life. Only believe.”

The words “Rest Assured” means that you will receive the best of care…this is the truth!

I heard these words from His heart today for you,

“I am the God who will surely rescue you and restore you. I do not slumber or sleep but am always watchful over my beloved ones. My arm is not too short to reach you. Rest within my arms and trust me. Know that you are being held by me this very moment. I will not fail you.”

Rest in the grip of His unfailing love. Let peace wash over you as you lean into surrendered trust. Let His kiss bring you new life and His arms comfort you with tender care and joyful confidence.

It’s Restoration Time!

by Kathi Pelton

Joel 2:25-27 has been going through my spirit for many months,

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,

The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,

And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Every time I read these verses, one particular line stands out to me,

“… My great army which I sent among you.” (vs. 25b)

We often get so excited about the restoration part that we miss this line. So why am I pointing it out? It is for perspective and for deep understanding of how loved we are as sons and daughters.

This may sound strange, and you may wonder what I mean. How can an army of locusts sent among us prove the depths of the love of our Father?

Many years ago my husband and I were launched into ministry in a very public way, yet there was still much refining in our hearts and in the intent of our hearts that still needed to occur. At one point in our journey our amazing Heavenly Father looked upon us and knew that we needed the discipline that only a loving father can bring. He sent among our lives what only can be described as an army of “swarming and crawling locusts.” This season of difficulty, which looked to our eyes like destruction, was actually the time of discipline that would lead to repentance for the sake of restoration. It was the Father sending His great love upon us in the form of chastening.

I cannot imagine the depth of love that it took our Father to send such discipline upon our lives. The pain that came upon us was devastating. The “locusts” came and exposed every area of compromise, rebellion, pride, and unfaithfulness that was masked under all of the “good works.” This “army sent among us” stayed for seven years and I truly did not know if we would survive. I was often convinced that it was a demonic attack against us for all the years of ministry we had done. Although I am sure that the enemy took advantage of this time, I am more convinced that the great mercy of our God sent this among us in order to save us from our own hidden sins and generational strongholds.

It is easy to blame the enemy for everything that comes upon us but during those seven years, time and time again I became keenly aware of all that was being brought to the surface and exposed that neither my husband nor I had allowed ourselves to deal with. God was extracting the precious from the worthless. He was refining us, disciplining us (because He loves us so very much), and saving us from the things that would have ultimately destroyed us.

I won’t take the time to go into how deep and severe this seven year period was but I will say that I don’t know if I, as a parent, could have allowed my children to face such excruciating pain and not intervened. But the depths of His love allowed the full process to take place, knowing that He was there to save and deliver us from the very things that would have destroyed us. It gave me a greater understanding of how He could send His Son to die for us!

Psalm 78:8 says,

“Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.”

God was assuring us that we would not be like those who had gone before us; stubborn, rebellious and not giving our hearts fully to Him. During those long and agonizing seven years He humbled us, gave us hearts of obedience, hearts fully yielded to Him. He knew the deep cry in us to be like Him and in His mercy He disciplined us and answered our greatest longing.

Many of you have gone through long periods of crisis and what only can be described as an army of locus sent among you. But what if it was (or is) the greatness of the love of your Father that sent this “great army among you” in order to save you?

We came out of those years refined and have seen gold produced. We are learning not to resist repentance but to understand it as a gift of freedom that we may quickly embrace. The fire of His love still remains upon us, keeping us pure and holy unto Him. And now we live in the time of restoration; we dwell in the beauty of verses 26 and 27,

“…You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Though many of you have been through a time of a “great army being sent among you,” there is a promise that springs from this time and it is the promise of restoration! I truly cannot thank God enough for His discipline and for sending the army that exposed all that was hidden. He delivered us from so much! How great is His love! How vast is His wisdom and how good are His ways!

If you are in the midst of this sort of sifting and refining, humble yourself before the Lord quickly. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the gifts of humility, obedience, and faithfulness, and to cause your whole heart to be turned toward Him. Not only for your sake but for your children and your children’s children.

“…because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Hebrews 12:6

It is better to humble yourself before you are humbled by the Lord. This is a time where God is creating a people who will walk in humility, obedience, and faithfulness, whose hearts belong fully to Him.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.” James 4:10

Oh, how deep His love is for you and for me!

All Hail King Jesus

Kathi Pelton

These are the words that have been repeating in my thoughts and heart all morning, “All Hail King Jesus!”

I had a vision on Sunday during our worship service of a glass ceiling shattering. Before it shattered I saw the ceiling and upon it was the images of our faces. I asked Him, “Why are our images creating a ceiling between heaven and earth…between us and You?”

Immediately He began to show me that His people tend to stop at “our personal limitations.” In other words, we limit Him based on our image rather than His. I began to allow my worship to exalt Him for who He is and all that He is worthy of. As I did He took me above my limitations (and the limitations of this earthly realm) into the limitless image and infinite goodness of who He is. As this happened the ceiling shattered and it became an open heaven.

He was being exalted for who He is not for what I see of Him in me or even who I understand or perceive Him to be. It’s difficult to put into words because it was like going into the depths, heights and width of His image and His love that has no beginning and no end. In this place the sound that I experienced declares, “All Hail King Jesus!”

It was a place of greater surrender and yielding to worship and enthroned Him in a limitless place; a place that crowns Him above all else.

Because this was and is a work of the Spirit, I encourage you to ask the Spirit of the Lord to usher you into this place of worship and surrender that breaks any ceiling that has been created due to your own self image or any earthly understanding. It is time for an open heaven!

He is worthy of it ALL! As He is enthroned upon every part of us; our families, our cities, our nations and our worship, we will see how He is given back what is rightfully His. He will be Lord of all and we will not only sing, “All Hail King Jesus” but we will see the world begin to have their eyes open to who He really is. A limitless, infinite and eternal God who “so loves the world!”
