The Shout That Releases A Heavenly Rescue Mission

By Kathi Pelton

We truly are in a time of battle against the enemies of God! Or maybe I should say that the enemy is in a battle with those who are lovers of God! But we know that “love wins!”

I woke up with a song lyric going through my mind. Often God will put a song in my spirit to speak to me about what He is doing. This time it was the line from the song, “You Have Won Me” (Brian & Jen Johnson/Bethel Music) that says,

“Shout it out and lift up one voice in worship, sing it out until all the earth can hear it, Jesus is alive and He saves, He rescues and saves!”

There is a battle cry (or shout) to be released! Let’s shout it out as one voice until all the earth can hear it, “Jesus is alive and He saves…He rescues and saves!” The enemy hates truth, hates unity and oneness and hates the sound of salvation. Why? Because it is a frequency that shatters darkness and sets the captives free.

“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.” Psalms‬ ‭91:14‬ ‭

He will rescue and save you! He will rescue and save this generation! His salvation will come like a flood in response to our battle cry because it carries “salvations sound!”

I see in the days ahead stadiums full of desperate and passionate people shouting out, “Jesus is alive and He saves, He rescues and saves!” Their sound will not be contained within the stadium walls but it will fill the atmosphere of cities and regions with the song of salvation that sets slaves free! It will release a rescue mission to a generation!

I see mom’s on their bedroom floor shouting out the same words over their prodigal children and in response Jesus releases a rescue mission to leave the ninety-nine to save the one.

I see nations shouting these words over the unborn and a mighty rescue mission to save the babies in the womb! The sound with bring triumph over death.

Shout it out!! It’s time! It’s the sound of salvation and the sound that signals a rescue mission to loose the captives and to shatter the darkness…even the darkness that has opposed you, oppressed you and tried to shut your mouth. It’s time to shout! Jesus is alive and He saves, He rescues and saves!

Rejoicing and Weeping

by Kathi Pelton

I don’t often take the time to just scroll through social media but this morning I did. As I did I found myself rejoicing at posts that announced great news (the birth of a baby, a miracle, a reunion with a loved one, etc.) but then as I scrolled further I’d come upon some of the most painful, heart wrenching posts I can imagine. I went from praising God for His goodness to pleading with Him for comfort and mercy within mere seconds.

We are all in different seasons; some are in seasons of great joy, new beginnings and seeing long awaited desires fulfilled. Others have suddenly been swept into loss, grief and pain that leaves them barely able to breathe. And of course there are those who are just journeying along in a season of “normal everyday life.”

We have all known and experienced these three very diverse season in life. So where is God in the midst of tragedy while another is dancing for joy?

He is in both. Though we cannot comprehend why tragedies occur, especially to those whose lives have been committed to Jesus, still they do. I have lived through them and through them found a different aspect of God that changed my life for the better. The tragic or painful seasons were where I had to live “in the deep.” It is there that I learned the truth of His faithfulness when every circumstance and emotion screamed out, “Where are you God?”

Life is a journey of hills and valleys, grassy fields and desert sand, jumping for joy and falling down in deep grief. We don’t get to escape any of it and yet we do get to discover that our God is faithful through it all. His goodness does not change, His promises do not end and His love does not waver.

How is it that God can be bending down to comfort and help the one going through the deepest pain and in the same moment dancing over the one who has found Him or who is celebrating a great victory. How is it that one experiences a miracle while another a tragic loss. He’s not a God of contradictions but rather a God who is near to all. He can weep and rejoice without contradiction. He can perform a miracle one moment and leave us wondering why He didn’t in the next moment. Or maybe we don’t understand what a miracle looks like? God is not limited to one expression or confined to an “either or”…He is the God of “Both and…”

Just as I found myself this morning rejoicing one second and in tears the next as I viewed posts on social media; even more I was aware that God was with all, in all and faithful to all. His faithfulness is as true in the tragedies as in the triumphs. His love is as complete and undiminished in the pain as it is in the promise fulfilled.

One of my favorite verses to meditate on and to speak on is Hebrews 11:11. Those who know me will often hear me emphasize the truth hidden within this verse,

“And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:11‬ ‭

The part that has impacted my life isn’t the promise fulfilled but rather the words, “…she considered him faithful who had made the promise.”

The promised didn’t come for years and Sarah and Abraham wavered in their emotions about the promise. But she began with the conviction of His faithfulness. I, too, have chosen to “consider” (judge, discern) Him faithful in my life and daily choices. That is my life standard. I have determined that though seasons change, my emotions change, my perspective varies and my circumstances change…HIS FAITHFULNESS IS UNCHANGING!

I may need to be reminded of this in a time of pain and I may need others to help hold me on this truth when I do not understand the journey; but I choose this as my truth and my anchor.

We can rejoice with one and weep with another without contradictions. We do not have to understand the “whys” to declare Him as faithful. One day we will all understand and know that our faith was and is justified. Until that day, determine one thing…HE IS FOREVER FAITHFUL! In everything “consider Him faithful.”

Seasons come and seasons go but His steadfast love endures forever. This is your anchor.

The Power of Stillness

by Kathi Pelton

Many of you have been in a time of great spiritual momentum and it’s been a source of accelerating you forward. But, do not become discouraged or dismayed if a sudden and unexpected stillness, pause or what may even feel like “delay” comes upon your time of acceleration. Remember this; God moves mightily when we get still.

There is a familiar verse in the Bible that talks about this,

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10

There is an amazing spiritual thing that happens when God calls His bride to be still. Suddenly, we make room for Him to move. At times our activity can begin to take the lead but as we hear His invitation to “be still” we will enter into a deeper trust and abiding rest that gives Him room to take the lead and make clear the way ahead.

Many years ago our family was in one of the most significant transitions of our lives and the warfare against this transition began to hit on every front. I felt like I’d been put on the defense rather than the offense where I had been positioned prior to the resistance. One day, during this time, I was seeking the Lord and He took me into a vision that gave me deeper understanding of how to walk through my transition or this “threshold” of life that I was in.

In the vision I was dressed as a bride and was standing next to my Bridegroom, Jesus. We were at the threshold of crossing into our honeymoon suite. I was so excited for this new beginning that I was about to rush over the threshold ahead of Him. Just then Jesus stopped me and said,

“My bride, allow Me to carry you over the thresholds of life because it is in stillness and the posture of being fully yielding to my strength and arms that you will cross over without being disturbed. You will be carried in intimacy.”

At that point (in the vision) I ceased my “running ahead” and paused (got still) so that He could pick me up and carry me over the threshold. As He carried me over the threshold I looked down and below me I saw a great battle that I was being carried above in the arms of My Savior. Had I rushed ahead, I would have entered a huge battleground (or army of resistance) that the enemy had set for me but, because I got still, I was carried over it and the enemy was put under the feet of Jesus.

After that vision I got very still and invited the Lord to carry me and the incredible warfare I had been experiencing suddenly ceased. There was such protection and peace in my pause and my stillness.

If you are in a time of transition and you suddenly feel or hear the “pause…be still” then know that you may actually be at the point of crossing over and your obedience to pause and be carried will create a smooth and seamless transition over the threshold of your new beginning.

Here are a few encouraging verses to help you in your pause, rest and stillness:

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14

• My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. Psalm 131:1-2

For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15

There are many more like these…may you let His strength become your strength as you enter into quietness and trust. Let LOVE carry you.

Let The Light In! Darkness Will Be Dispelled!

by Kathi Pelton

After nearly two months of constant travel my husband and I came home and immediately were faced with a very dark situation that a precious friend is facing. As we have been navigating our way through this grievous situation that is affecting so many, I could find myself becoming “distracted by the darkness.”

Last night as we prayed as a family for all involved I suddenly heard, “Be still and know that I am God.” In that moment I knew that we had done all that we could do and now it was time to stand and be still in the confident trust of the Lord. In our quiet surrender we felt peace and release come upon us. We had wept, interceded, reached out, ministered to those affected and now it was time to release it into the hands of the One whose name is Victory! We entered into the stillness of absolute trust and dependency.

Then I heard His voice invite me into His light. I saw a picture of me coming out from beneath a dark cloud into the unfiltered brightness and warmth of His light. Suddenly I felt the warmth of His light and love fill me and overcome the darkness that had loomed over the situation we’d been dealing with.

Yes, in this world there is so much darkness but there is a light that dispels all darkness. He is the Light of the World, the hope of all mankind, the peace that surpasses understanding and the One whose blood has paid the price for all sin and darkness. He is Jesus.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”” John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭

If you are facing darkness or if darkness has come to cloud your view; move into the Light! He is always there to remind you that the victory has already been purchased and assured to all those who will put their trust in Him. He is inviting you to come and soak in the Son. Let the light, warmth and love permeate your soul. Don’t stay in the shadows of darkness but come and let His light move you into hope and the absolute confidence of trust. He is saying to you too, “Be still and know that I am God.”

I hear this over individuals and I hear this over nations. Hong Kong…You are not alone and He will be exulted in the nations! Let His light fill you with hope and a new song; a song of deliverance. Let the sound of His faithfulness be heard throughout the nations.

Come and bask in the light of His love and grace. Come into the stillness of His agape love and confident hope. Cease striving and know that He is God!

DecreeA Thing And It Will Be Established

by Kathi Pelton

“You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Job 22:28

On September 30th we will enter the Hebrew year 5780. The Hebrew word for this time is “Pey” which represents a mouth that has wisdom. The past decade has been a decade of “seeing” what God is saying but now we will enter into a decade of speaking (decreeing, declaring and prophesying) the wisdom that comes forth from God. We will hear His sound and as we speak it, sing it and decree it things will be established on earth as they are in heaven.

Kim Engel wrote the following paragraph that gives greater insight on “Pey”,

“Pey” is the Hebrew letter for the number 80, a picture symbol of a mouth. Discerning when to speak and when to be quiet will be a critical component during the next decade if we are to see the Kingdom of God growing in our lives and our world through our declarations of faith. “Ayin” gives insight, but it is the “Pey” (mouth) that gives insight expression. Wisdom is the key.

This time will remove the “silencer” that the enemy has put upon many who are created to be a mouth that speaks and sings what the Lord is saying. The mute will speak! They will have a voice of authority and wisdom.

The Lord also showed me that “those who have no voice” will be heard! Specifically the unborn. The cry of babies that the enemy has silenced will come forth and babies that would have been aborted will not only live but they will be a voice to their generation and the generations to come.

Women will be given their voice back in a way that brings reformation, honor and wisdom. It will break oppression off of daughters; causing them to find identity in the inward places rather than the outward. I recently heard Chuck Pierce say that when men the revelation and understand regarding the honor of women that it will break the cycles of pornography that is plaguing and defiling both men and women. A sound of deliverance will come and set many free.

The African American community will become a voice like a corporate voice of Martin Luther King, Jr. and they will decree the dream of God. Freedom will be the sound that they release and it will break through racial barriers.

The voice of the Lord will be heard and it will bring back the fear of the Lord. It will come through decrees that establish and through warnings that invite men and women into wisdom and repentance that will thwart judgement and release mercy.

I hear the words from Psalm 29 being declared over this segue into a decade of “sound and wisdom”,

“The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”” Psalm‬ ‭29:3-9‬ ‭

The glory of the Lord will come upon His people and the cry of “Glory!” Will be heard throughout the earth.

The God of Peace will Crush Satan Under Your Feet

by Kathi Pelton

As I was waiting upon the Lord I heard the verse from Romans 16:20 that says,

“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”

The Lord knows how you have stood firm. He has seen how you have resisted the temptations that have come to cause you to act according to the flesh. He has seen every act of obedience and trust that you have walked in. He has also seen how Satan has been harassing you!

The Lord says one word,

“Enough!”

I hear this once again regarding what you have been facing. You may be wondering why you have not yet seen the change and help that you have hoped for but I sense that He wants you to know that it will come soon! The declaration has been made and soon your enemy will be crushed under your feet.

This is not a time to “sit down” in defeat but to continue to stand firm in the posture of faith that you have fought so hard to hold on to. Put every lie, every lack, every temptation to concede defeat under your feet. Resist the devil!

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7

The devil comes when you are feeling weak and tired to try to create divisions, offenses, jealousy, envy and even bitterness. But God is able to manifest His strength to you in the midst of your time of weakness. Stand in His strength to resist the evil one.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

You are not weak! You are strong because the Word of God does not lie! Allow this truth to revive you. You are so close to your breakthrough. The enemy works the hardest to get you to “give in” to his schemes right before your victory. Stand firm in the strength of His grace and put every one of his schemes under your feet.

You are an Overcomer! You have not been defeated. You can walk in your victory even before you see the manifestation of it in the natural realm.

Now is the time to stand in Christ, your Overcomer! His victory is your victory. All that He has belongs to you. Declare your freedom, declare your victory and declare what is true.

I encourage you to do a prophetic act of writing down the lies that have wearied you and write down the things that you need to overcome. Then put that paper on the ground and stand on it. Put those things under your feet and declare truth that through Christ you have overcome and received victory.

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

James 1:12

A crown is coming to you because you have stood and resisted the evil one. You have overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Now is the time to see all that has come against you crushed under your feet.

Isaiah 41:13

For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

Amen!

God Says, “Daughters Arise!”

by Kathi Pelton

On this day 99 years ago it was ratified throughout our nation that women had the right to vote. It became the “Law of the Land.” No longer could women be forced to sit by and watch men only exercise their rights.

I was recently asked to write a story for a book that is concerning the challenges of being a woman in ministry. Though the challenges can appear subtle and overlooked because of familiarity, they still exist and are often “not so subtle.” The stories I’ve heard from other women in ministry and even experiences that I’ve had would shock many at how far we still have to go to live in the truth that we were created equal. We have come a long ways but still have a long ways to go.

I am not a “women’s rights activist” but I am a believer in equal rights for race and gender— and the church should be leading the way in this.

As I sat down with the Lord today I felt His strong passion for seeing what He has placed in His daughters given the value and place that they are due. His Spirit is not less in women or His gifts somehow diminished; yet often we still see a “token women” thrown into a line up of a dozen male speakers (as if to prove that there is an honor for them being given). I sense that the Lord is about to deal with an age old prejudice that has existed in the world and in His family of God for far too long. I hear Him say, “Daughters Arise! Women Arise! No longer will you be held down or held back!”

God, in His mercy, is dealing with all areas of prejudices that have misinterpreted His scriptures and His creation. God has a dream of “oneness” and that oneness prefers and sees other of any race or gender as equal or better than themselves.

Let Him examine our hearts and wash away all remaining prejudices that have infected His people with wrong beliefs or actions. May His might women arise in this hour in both humility and authority to reveal Christ in them unashamedly and without being censored.

We are His workmanship— created to fully express Him without being held down.
