Making A List— Checking It Twice

By Kathi Pelton

My life is busy!! My brain is full and to be honest— I’m easily distracted!! Is anyone else like that?

So— I have learned to use lists! If I go shopping or have a busy day planned…I make a list. When I have an upcoming birthday or at Christmas time I make a list! WhenI pack a ministry trip or vacation—yep, I make lists to keep me on track and so that I don’t miss something important. When we moved cross country in January…A LONG CHECK LIST WAS ESSENTIAL!

What about with prayer? Yes— I make prayer lists!! Not for every prayer time since I like to live a lifestyle of continuous prayer. But for my focused daily prayer time I have a list. My list includes prayer points that I bring before the “Throne of Grace” and as I bring each point before our Lord, I then wait for His Spirit to lead me in His intercession for that person or subject. It is not dry or legalistic but rather it keeps me focused and at the same time leaves room to be led by the Spirit to go deeper and spend more time on what He reveals needs more attention.

My prayer list is also an ongoing testimony book of answers! I always leave space to add notes and the testimonies of answers to those prayers. It becomes the spirit of prophesy to the prayers yet to be answered.

For instance— I pray for all of our ministry supporters each day. As I mention them by name, I wait and I am sensitive to the Spirit giving me insight and His heart to press in deeper day by day for specific ones. I do the same thing with our children. I bring each one before Him and wait…always asking Holy Spirit to lead me and pray through me for what He knows they need; not just what I want for them.

Usually my list includes prayers for our nations leaders, our local church leaders, our city and nation. Again, as I bring these before His throne of grace— I pause and listen for His voice and to feel His heart. Some days it’s merely mentioning these things and other days it become deep intercession. He leads— I follow!

I also pray His Word. Praying aloud the scriptures over your loved ones, leaders and nation will never come back void! For instance, yesterday I had Ephesians 3:17-19 on my heart. It reads,

“I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love, will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

I began to pray these verses aloud over my children, my husband, our ministry supporters, our leaders and our nation. That they (we) would be rooted and grounded in love and the knowledge and fullness of God. His Word is always better than my words!

Far too often the church will view anything planned as “religious or legalistic.” That is not true! We can make lists and still yield and submit to the leading and flow of His Spirit. Often the church is not getting things accomplished due to distraction and the desire to be freely led— but think of how much is accomplished when you do both. You make a plan and you yield to the Lord directing and establishing your steps— even in prayer.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD directs and establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

So—as the Christmas song goes, “He’s making a list, checking it twice…” During this time of heightened distraction in the spiritual atmosphere it might be good to make a list! Then bring your prayer points before the throne of grace and where Jesus will meet with you.

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16

Hope Deferred Makes The Heart Sick

By Kathi Pelton

If you’ve ever dealt with “hope deferred” you know that deep heartsick feeling. When my husband and I began trying to start a family we experienced years of hope deferred. Throughout those years we watched most of our friends make announcements of “We are having a baby” or “It’s a boy” or “It’s a girl.”

Our only announcement each month was from our fertility doctor saying, “No change—no progress— no baby.” And every month without fail—I’d hope again (wishing that I wouldn’t!). Each month I’d dream again, I’d pray again…and I’d be devastated again. I began to hate that I would cycle from hope to despair every thirty days when there was so much to be grateful for in my life. I didn’t want to be heartsick but I couldn’t shake “hope” that would lead me there.

My husband and I had been given prophetic words by those that had no idea what we were facing; which just raised our hopes even more— only to face the month after month— year after year disappointment which made me all the more heartsick!

For the past eight years I’ve been walking with one of my children through this same journey of hope deferred. Having gone through it myself does not make me an expert at navigating the sea of emotions that have waves of hope build and then crash on the shores of her and her husband’s life like getting punched in the stomach each month. But because of Jesus— hope relentlessly returns.

For me— I have a beautiful and happy ending to my story of hope deferred! We not only adopted a beautiful baby girl but I also gave birth to two boys and a another girl! Double-double for all the heart ache and hope deferred! I am praying and believing for my daughter and her husband to have their arms filled with “desire fulfilled” very soon! I am praying for you to have your desire fulfilled as well.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire (longing) fulfilled is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12

That was one of the verses that I clung to during my years of hope deferred. The amazing thing is that the 11 month old baby girl that we adopted had been named by her 15 year old birth mother. The name she chose was Desiree’— which means “longed for!” Only God…she was our longing fulfilled!

Why am I sharing these two stories; one still in the grip of hope deferred and one in the reality of desire fulfilled? Because there are many of you who will read this that are in the pain of hope deferred or you know someone who is.

Did you know that there is an aspect of hope deferred that is beautiful? It is the word “hope!” The very thing that was deferred was also what was my assurance. Quite honestly in the midst of going through those years “hope” didn’t feel beautiful because it felt like a set up for disappointment and pain. But looking back I now know that hope is what moved me forward, it kept our dreams alive and our faith secure.

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:5

We hope because the love of God has been poured into us! We cannot escape it and if we were able to— we would have to abandoned the love of God. We’d have to lose our confident expectation that is rooted in our faith. The hope of being loved by God will never disappoint— this is the hope that comforts every other hope; it is the hope that will never be deferred, never be withheld, never be delayed and will always be the foundation of every other desire and dream.

If you are experiencing the pain of hope deferred then run fully into the arms of His love! In His arms there is not only every desire fulfilled but a comfort that only His love can provide. In the grip of His love we have hope renewed, trust refreshed, joy in the midst of pain and beauty in the midst of barrenness.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

As I have gone through seasons of pain and hope deferred I have learned to not lean on my own understanding but to lean into His everlasting arms of love. It is there that I don’t need answers to the “whys” or feel like I must harden my heart to protect myself from the pain. In His arms the hope of His love is poured into me without measure— washing away heart sickness. His love is always gives me more than I can ask or imagine! I may weep there but I’m also comforted in the grip of my true Hope! Jesus is the hope and desire of every heart…even if they don’t know it.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

In Hebrews 11:11 we read of the fulfilled promise of a son for Abraham and Sarah— but though the promise took many years to be fulfilled it says this,

“By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.”
‭‭
SHE JUDGED (considered) HIM FAITHFUL WHO HAD PROMISED!

That is true hope! We must know and believe that He who promised is faithful! There is no separation between His promise, our hope and His faithfulness. They are braided together and to separate hope would be to judge Him as unfaithful.

“…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“Hope in the Lord” will renew you and strengthen you to continue to run. Some days the only place you can run to is His arms but in that place love will be poured into your heart without measure.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

No matter what you are facing— you can put your hope in the fact that God desires to prosper you and not harm you. He has beautiful plans for you…to give you HOPE and a future of hopes fulfilled as the love of God poured out upon you.

I will leave you with these words from Psalm 33:18,

“But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love…”

His unfailing love is your desire fulfilled. Keep hope alive.

Am I Living In My Shadow or His?

By Kathi Pelton

When you stand in the direct sun on a clear day it will cast your shadow onto the ground with vivid and vast definition. Why? Because you are blocking the sun that is shining directly upon you. Yet, on a cloudy or stormy day, you rarely see your own shadow as there is no sun for you to block.

Sometimes in a “stormy season” of life I find that I actually see the shadow of His wing covering me more than on the clear days that are absent of storms. When I am in full dependency because circumstances are beyond my control I become so aware that I am being kept and covered by my Heavenly Father’s love and protection. Yet, occasionally on clear days (days absent of great need) I will find myself beginning to walk in “my own shadow” and begin to venture outside the shadow of abiding in Him.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭

There is something that is within human nature (or sin nature) that is prone to wander, to go our own way, to be independent, to give into the desires of the flesh. Yes, even within Christians! Though we learn through experience and spiritual maturity not to give into these temptations; still they call to us and there are still times that we give in.

For me, those times come most often when my life is “carefree” and the sun is shining— when all my skies are clear. I think that it’s just that when we don’t “feel” the urgent need for dependency or divine intervention we can begin to dwell in our own shadow. I don’t actually believe that I can ever truly leave the shadow of His wing, because I am His daughter, but my focus can leave the place of abiding and I can begin to focus on my own shadow (which is just “me”).

I remember a season in my life many years ago that was months of “clear skies!” Spiritual and circumstantial summer had come. Our family was thriving, relationships were thriving, finances were thriving, our ministry was thriving, business was thriving, and even my physical being was thriving. What a glorious beginning to that summer season it was! I woke up rejoicing and went to bed rejoicing. But as that season moved from days to months I began to unconsciously abide in and “glory in” the freedom from storms more than in the rest of the Almighty. I found myself beginning to follow my own shadow rather than abiding in His. It all looked spiritual and good but I had begun to venture out of abiding in His shadow and into enjoying the shade of my own shadow because the sun was shining so brightly in my life. Toward the end of that season (which was to be a gift from God) I found myself feeling disoriented, disconnected from God, careless in my decisions and utterly aware of the faults within the lines of my shadow. My security and rest had shifted from Him to striving to seize the days of “more than enough” (as I knew that like every season, this one would be limited in its duration).

That time in my life was a wonderful lesson on how to remember to remain (abide) and rest in His shelter rather than find my security in the “lack of storms.” I think that there is such an emphasis on circumstantial “breakthrough” in the lives of believers that we forget that He is our breakthrough! He is our dwelling place, our hope, our warmth, our light, our portion, our refuge, our abiding place and our rest. This must be established in every season.

People often focus on achieving breakthrough from adverse circumstances, but we don’t prepare to live in it when it arrives. The poverty spirit can live in prosperity as much as it can in scarcity, but it manifests as greed and independence. We know how to live in need but do we know how to live in abundance? Wealth and riches can be a far greater burden than poverty because a greater responsibility and accountability is required. I believe that God wants to entrust His people with abundance but we must be prepared to remain in Him (fully dependent, sober, humble, at rest and prayerful) or our breakthrough can become our breaking. It’s so easy to find comfort in the fullness of our flesh and soul but our spirits will always long to be satisfied with Christ alone. We must remain living out of our spirits and to train our flesh and soul to find fulfillment in God.

Let us be a people who can live abundantly in every circumstance because we live in the never-changing fullness of our Savior. We live in the constant breakthrough of His love, His grace, and His victory. We live in the shadow of His wing which gives us rest.

He is breaking us out of the mindsets of “feast or famine,” because it is there that we splurge or starve rather than abide and thrive in the constant abundance of a never changing God whose promises are true and kept in every season and every circumstance.

One last thought; when the sun is in front of me, my shadow is behind me but when the sun is behind me my shadow goes before me. Let us keep the Son in front of us and not behind us!

In every season, sunshine or storm, let us say,

“I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”” Psalms‬ ‭91:2‬

A Spirit of Idleness Is Coming Off God’s People

By Kathi Pelton

This morning I kept seeing a specific assignment that has been sent against many of God’s people that was keeping them from effectiveness and fruitfulness. It was an assignment to create “idle lives.” It was coming through depression, anxiety, cynicism, illness (infirmity/injury), hopelessness, rebellion and even mental illness (or mental fog).

These were specific assignments to cause lives that were created for an effectual work that would destroy the works of darkness and establish His Kingdom of light to be diminished and become idle.

An idle machine is one that is unused. It may have everything it needs to be effective and of great use but it is not in use and therefore it is idle.

If that is you then begin to break all agreements with an idle life! Begin to prophesy over the areas that have been targeted by the enemy to render you idle. Prophecy the purposes of God over your body, your soul and your spirit. Prophecy the restart of your life and calling!

Declare diligence, perseverance
energy, action, exuberance, liveliness, robustness, sprightliness, vibrancy, vigor, vitality and resurrection over your life! These are key antonyms for idleness and spirit filled words that bring life to that which has fallen asleep.

Lethargy is closely related to idleness. The spirit of lethargy is one that has been sent against God’s people time and time again. But I believe that with every assignment sent by the enemy, he looks for an “agreement” through avenues such as self-loathing, unbelief, disappointments, hope deferred, depression, etc. There is often a “wearing down of the Saints” that creates a landing strip for lethargy.

After a serious car accident in 2016 I had to fight the temptation to agree with a “new norm” of continual pain that would result in idleness (and quite frankly good reason to become idle). After a time of recovery my new norm had to be “daily overcoming” rather than being overcome by pain everyday. God is very compassionate toward the attacks that have come upon many of you but there is an overcoming that comes by rejecting an agreement with whatever “life sentence” the enemy is trying to place upon you. Agree with the fact that you overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of His testimony.

Some agreements could have come through a weakness that you personally have dealt with that has sought to become your identity or to disqualify you from being effective for His use and His Kingdom. But the Bible makes it clear that it is in our weakness that Christ makes His power known! Reject that which apparently has disqualified you! Agree with “Christ in you!” He is the resurrection and life! There is constant movement (while experiencing spiritual rest), continual forward motion and a fruitfulness in every season as we allow “Christ in us” to be the source!

Take the time to break every agreement with idleness. Your agreements may come from legitimate struggles but God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than you can ask or imagine. Agree with Christ in you— to live and move!

“For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” Acts 17:28

It is time to live and move and have our being— this means “I exist!” Choose life, stir your movement and declare over your life, “I exist! I am a carrier of His glory!” The enemy want you to disappear from the scene and to become unseen, unused and non-existent! YOU EXIST! It’s time to be seen, to be effective and allow the world to see Christ in you— the hope of glory!

Mountains Will Move In March!

By Kathi Pelton

As I sat with the Lord this morning I heard the sound of boots marching forth. It was an army of “boots on the ground.” Then I not only heard them but saw them. There was a mighty mountain standing in their way— BUT THEY COULD NOT BE STOPPED! They were moving in the conviction of His Word, the obedience of His instructions and the persuasion of His promises. They were confident in the assurance of faith. They were not dissuaded by what their eyes were seeing or even the voices that were trying to persuade them to stop or turn back. They knew the voice of their God and were marching toward the impossible with a joy that came from knowing their God who makes all things possible. As their feet began to touch the base of the mountain it began to crumble and become level with each step taken but it wasn’t leveled until their feet touched it. They had to move forward to see the impossible made possible. Then I heard the words, “Mountains will move in March as My people march forward!”

It is time to exchange your hope deferred for the “assurance of hope.” Move into the true conviction of the unseen things that God has spoken to you and apprehend them in faith with action. Begin March by marching forward in the faith that says to the mountains that stand before you, “Be removed!”

This week there will be some of you who will go straight through what stood before you last week just because you moved forward in the assurance of your hope! That mountain has no power over you when you walk in the assurance of faith. It crumbles at the sound and touch of your feet of faith. Your boots are your confidence in Him and they have power over everything that has exulted itself against His name, His Word and His truth. It crumbles at the sound of true faith on the move. Like David before Goliath; it will fall!

Rarely in my life have I seen the way open up before me prior to steps of faith taken; it is when I stepped forward (in His leading) that the way was made and mountains were moved.

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:21-22

Far too often God’s people wait for the mountain to be removed and end up setting up camp at the base of the mountain that stands before them. They don’t know the authority that accompanies their faith or that the mere sound of the forward movement of their faith levels the path and clears the way. Many who have camped at the base of these impossible mountains have lived in the shadow of hope deferred which has caused their hearts to grow sick. Disappointment and disillusionment have become their view but the Lord is not stopped by mountains or threatened by obstacles; He is calling you to put your boots of faith back on and place your feet on that mountain— then watch as it crumbles before you.

Mountains will fall, giants will fall and hope deferred with crumble as you see your desire fulfilled! What has the Lord spoken to you? Are you waiting passively to see it come to you without putting your feet upon the mountain or facing down the giant? March is a month to put on your boots and march forward— speak to that mountain, “Be ye removed!” Go forward.

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Receive His “Kiss”— It Will Transform You!

By Kathi Pelton

During a time of worship the other day I asked the Lord what He was doing with His sons and daughters in that moment. Almost immediately I began to feel His forehead touch my forehead, the tip His nose touch the tip of my nose and then I felt His breath. I then realized that the Lord was greeting me (and His loved ones) with a “Honi.” Honi (pronounced HO – nee) is the traditional Hawaiian greeting. The english translation is “to kiss”, but actually, the original greeting was touching forehead to forehead, nose to nose and exchanging breath.

I have spent time in Hawaii and received this beautiful greeting. It is very intimate and vulnerable. The interesting thing is that since that moment (many days ago now) I have not yet stopped sensing this beautiful “greeting” cease. I still feel his head against mine, His nose touching my nose and His breath warming me with “the breath of heaven.”

The Maori people, indigenous to New Zealand, greet with “hongi” which is the same actions as the Hawaiian greeting. When you hongi, you touch forehead to forehead, nose to nose and exchange breath just like the “Honi.”

When the breath is exchanged during the “Honi” it is called, “ha”, or divine breath, which is held within each of us. When we exchange divine breath through the nose, it is the part of us that comes directly from Spirit. The breath of God.

It is believed that this type of greeting will reveal the the “intention” of the other person. The intention of the heart or motivation of the heart is what God transforms so that we can walk in purity and unity with one another. He is not only revealing the intention of His heart to His sons and daughters; which is pure, life-giving, merciful, kind and full of agape love but He is also imparting the purity to our hearts.

During this extended “Honi” that I have been experiencing, I asked the Lord to impart the purity of His intentions to me. His “Ha” (breath) is doing just that! I see Him standing before His people as they are in worship and prayer with their faces turned upwards toward Him and He is placing His forehead against their forehead, His nose against their nose and He is releasing a divine “Ha” or breath upon them. He is imparting to them (to you) both the revelation of His intentions toward them and also imparting the purity of His heart into them.

Like so many, I long for the motives of my heart to be pure! Yet, all to often I find selfish motives mixed into so many things that I do. But still, I will not stop until He makes my heart and my motives pure. So— I take pleasure in this lingering “Honi” (“Hongi”) and I receive His divine breath; the revelation of His pure intentions toward me and the impartation of purity for my heart.

2 Corinthians 13:12 says,
“Greet each other with a sacred kiss.”

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be greeted by one another with pure intentions and motives? All too often we have been greeted with impurities that have left many feeling used, unwanted or divided from one another. Our “Western Handshake” is void of breath and does not reveal or even require the intention of the other to be revealed or intimacy to be entered into. God has come with a “sacred and holy” kiss— a Honi.

Receive His greeting and allow yourself to linger there. Linger until His breath has brought revelation and impartation. Don’t break the intimacy of this “kiss” or “breath of God” that will transform you.

Stay In The Now

Today, as I was praying, I was taken into a vision where I saw a man standing in “today” (the now) but his soul

was in yesterday and tomorrow; he was absent from where he was actually standing— in the NOW. His focus on yesterday was keeping him stuck in regrets and disappointments and his obsession with tomorrow was drawing him into heavy burdens, dread, and fear. As I looked at him I could see the Lord calling to him to come and enjoy the day He had planned for him; a day filled with grace, joy, love and peace. It was a table set before him with such detail and love. But, he had become so accustomed to not living in the “now” or even in the day that the Lord had given him that he had lost his peace and his joy. He had not enjoyed the delicacies that were set before him for a very long time.

Then I saw the Lord go into his yesterday and wash away the pain, the regrets and the disappointments that had clung to him like a cold, wet garment.

Then I saw the Lord go into His tomorrow and He sent forth angels to prepare the way to bless and prosper him in all his ways. He then washed the dread, worry and fear from him with a peace that surpassed this man’s understanding.

Tomorrow’s table had no provision upon it because the Lord had not set it for him yet.

Then He wrapped him in a clean, white garment and drew him back into today. As this man left his past and entrusted his tomorrow to the Lord’s perfect care he was able to enter into the amazing grace that the Lord had set for him that day. This man began to laugh with joy. Relief from the sorrows of yesterday and the burdens of tomorrow flooded his soul while peace, rest, and a lightness filled him like a long, deep breath.

The Lord is resetting those who have been dealing with great anxiety, depression, and fear. Allow Him to minister to the pains of yesterday and the fears of tomorrow while drawing you into the beauty of today.

This is a work of His Spirit that He is doing even now. Stop and take the time to be with Him; allowing Him to do this deep work within you. There is such peace and rest in abiding trust. There is amazing grace that sets you free from having to figure it all out in your own strength. There is joy in the surrender as you put your faith in His perfect care.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

STAY IN THE NOW!

Ask the Lord to remove your soul from the regrets of yesterday and the burdens of tomorrow. He has gone before you to prepare a future and hope for you so you do not need to worry.

He has prepared a table for you today and it has everything you need for the day. Does a mother set out food for her family that is to be eaten tomorrow? No, it will spoil if it’s set out before meal time. She only puts out what is for now. God does the same for you. You were never supposed to live on yesterday’s spoiled food or sit at tomorrow’s table that has not yet been set for you yet. There is so much to enjoy today—enter into your now!

What Is God Doing?

By Kathi Pelton

As I was flying cross country today I felt the Spirit ask me to share with you some things that have been highlighted to me as we’ve entered 2020. There is more but I’d like to share these specific ones with you so that you can both identify (confirm) His work in your life regarding these areas and so that you can begin to pray for these things personally, for your loved ones and for the body of Christ.

Here are the eight that I’d like to highlight and further explain for now:

Rest In Christ: This is a “rest in your soul” that comes with abiding in the surrendered trust in your Father’s love. It heals trauma, brings peace and breaks fear/anxieties.

By My Spirit: Zechariah 4:6 has been highlighted as a key verse for this era. As we rest in Him (laying down our might & power) it makes room for the sovereignty of His Spirit to accomplish the impossible; giving ALL glory to God!

Jubilee: I keep hearing that we are about to see “miraculous jubilees “ take place. These will set many free from the enslavement of financial debt. It will cause prisoners to be set free and heavy weights to be removed from the backs of God’s people.

Holiness: A hunger for holiness is building and growing that is causing authentic “Godly sorrow” that ushers permanent change (repentance) and sets people free from regret, guilt and condemnation.

Clean Hands/Pure Hearts: “The pure in heart will see God.” A washing of hearts and hands is now happening! It is like a fresh baptism in purity. This is causing a purification of heart motives and reforming movements.

Return To First Love: The revelation of the agape love of God is beginning to fall upon the Church (His Bride) that will awaken her to first love. This “first love” will cause a sound that is like a pounding heart but will act as a battering ram against hatred and darkness. It is the sound of full abandonment to His desires. Worship and prayer movements will carry this sound and will become the thing that goes before what He is doing in the earth (evangelism, healing, deliverance, salvations, nations shifting, etc.)

The Government of God On Earth: The bride has been crowned with authority (such as Queen Esther). The King’s scepter has been extended and He is awaiting her requests so that He might grant them. Her voice and requests will set people groups and nations free. The signet ring has been placed on modern day Mordecai’s who will carry out what the King has spoken (and His Bride has decreed). This is establishing a governmental authority upon the church like has not been seen before. The earth’s governments will even be subject to the authority released through the mouths of God’s people.

Family, Unity & Oneness: Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21-23 is beginning to be made manifest. This is a sovereign act of God that merely requires humility! Preference of others, being family, praying rather than judging differences, and surrender are purifying (fertilizing) the soil that is making this possible.

There is so much more! What a magnificent time it is to be alive in Christ! Make these points (themes) points of prayer and meditation each day.

In My Weakness He Becomes So Strong!

By Kathi Pelton

Have you ever been in the midst of God launching you into new and amazing things and suddenly you are hit with the reality of your own weakness so strong that it knocks you to your knees? That is my life currently.

It’s not a bad place because it increases dependency, breaks boundaries that you didn’t know you had and humbles you to enter into the new place in a posture of being bowed down and transformed.

Each time that the Lord has brought me into something new it has required a new level of faith and trust. Of course it is such an honor to be chosen, to be called, to be asked to “go for Him”…but it requires not only my “yes” but my surrender, my death to self and the severing of any dependency on my “gifting.”

The other day I found myself in one of those “knock you to your knees” moments. Suddenly I felt as though I ran full force into a brick wall. It hit so hard that I began weeping. I asked the Lord, “What was that?” His answer took me to my knees. He said, “It’s the comfort boundary that your ‘yes’ hit.”

Oh my heart! I was immediately undone. I am keenly aware of my propensity to deeply desire comfort, traditions, the familiar and a “picket fence” life. This is probably why God keeps me from a life of human comforts; He is jealous for my heart. But in this particular moment I realized that my faith had a comfort boundary or picket fence that looked like “great faith” to the outsider but still created a limited habitation for my God that my transition had hit.

Creating a boundary wasn’t a conscious decision but when I became aware of it I also was immediately aware of every lingering insecurity, weakness and fear that existed beyond the boundary I had set. I felt cripple and it crumbled me to the ground all day long. It wasn’t condemnation but rather a dismantling of securities that are not founded in Him.

As I looked at these weaknesses and these limitations I could only weep. Then I bundled them up and carried them to the feet of Jesus. As I laid them before Him I could only bow low before my humble King. I presented my pain, my fears, my desires for the “safe road”, my weaknesses and then asked Him to be King over them.

Suddenly I was filled with strength that was so sovereign that it reminded me of when Daniel was in the presence of the Angel of the Lord and it took him to his knees,

“Then the one who looked like a man touched me again, and I felt my strength returning.” Daniel 10:18

My strength returned and I was able to get up. Then I was given courage to move beyond the familiar boundaries that my soul had erected. I felt courage imparted to me, His love filled me and His goodness carried me beyond what I had known.

Human weakness is merely the fertile soil for the strength of Christ to be made known and displayed. Throughout my life there have been key seasons where God has prepared to go beyond where I am comfortable and each time it is as if the Lord has bought a field just beyond what I’ve known and invites me to expand my boundaries to be planted there. It is usually a field that is untouched and needs great work before it can receive seed.

When I say yes this becomes the field where I my life is once again tilled, weeds are pulled (roots of weeds are removed), stones are removed, hard ground is softened and fertilizer is added. It’s a messy process and I long for the fruit of the familiar field behind me. But this process prepares me to bear new fruit and to know Him in greater ways; and to trust Him more.

If you are in the grip of the crippling reality of your personal weakness, then allow yourself to fall at His feet. Bring all of your lack, your fears, your pain and your insecurities and place them at His feet. He can turn anything into an offering of praise. Watch as He turns the broken pieces into beauty and the weakened places into strength and courage. Christ in you will become your strength and your song. You will find yourself moving beyond the boundaries that you have known and dancing on the heads of giants that mocked the “God in you!”

It’s okay to cry, to feel weakness and to be afraid…but you must not stop there! You must fall at His feet and present even what doesn’t seem beautiful to you. He makes all things presented to Him beautiful.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Receive Your Crown: It Is Coronation Day!

by Kathi Pelton

This morning I heard the words, “Bow down, it is time to receive your crown.”

Often, as Christians, our focus is to cast down our crowns before our beautiful King but the Lord made it clear to me today that there is a coronation ceremony happening in the spirit where God is crowning His chosen ones to walk in their sovereign positions as kings and queens who represent the crown of the King of Kings.

I saw that now is the time for the sons and daughters to enter into their birth rights and to receive their crown. There is great inheritance within your birth right and because you have been born into a King’s family (born again) that inheritance is yours. It is time to take your place and to begin to access your inheritance.

Like in the days of Queen Esther, the King’s scepter is being extended, the signet ring is being placed upon the hand of the rightful recipients, favor is being shown and crowns are being placed upon the heads of those who have been prepared for “such a time as this!”

Not only is there a coronation ceremony happening but as it is happening there is something else simultaneously happening; it is the “hanging of the antagonist.”

Haman was the antagonistic figure in the Book of Esther and there has been a Haman spirit sent to try to destroy God’s people but suddenly the very gallows that he erected to destroy God’s chosen ones will now be used to “hang this antagonist!”

God is asking if you will bow down before Him to receive the crown that you were born to wear. You didn’t earn it, you weren’t elected to wear it by any man but it is because you were born into a royal family and now is the time to walk in what you were born to do.

All of Heaven is gathered for watch this coronation ceremony. Bow before Him and allow Him to crown you with His crown of authority where you will rule and reign with Him.
