Nothing Is Wasted

Our family has moved THIRTY times! Although some of those moves were due to a constantly growing family, many were because we were following God’s lead in pioneering something new. For me, moving is one of the greatest sacrifices in my life. I am a “nester” and home is where my heart is. My dream as a child was to raise my family in one home that they’d grow up in and bring their children to when they were grown. I love home and being home; yet God called us to travel, pioneer and “go”. It’s truly been an honor and joy even in the midst of more boxes packed than I can count. But He knows that it has also been an offering from my heart and a sacrifice of that dream.

During one of our moves, I was packing and looked out over the sea of boxes and had a vision of angels that were sitting on them with a clipboard in hand. They were keeping account of every act (even the natural acts like packing a box) that has ever been done in obedience to following the Lord.

I then began to see angels assigned to believers all over the world. These people were following the Lord to make disciples of men and to encourage the body of Christ in many different ways. They were working in many different realms of society but they were “Jesus to those around them.”

I saw those who are called to “go out” sitting in airports and sleeping in hotels; they were away from family and comforts but their “yes” was more important than their comfort. The angels were keeping an account of every hour given, not just the hours ministering but the hours of travel and being away from home— even the hours on a plane or sleeping in a bed that was not their own. Then I saw moms and dads who are called to stay home and raise their children and provide for their families; these angels were keeping account of every prayer prayed, every meal cooked, every hug given and every early morning wake up as they trained up their children in the ways of the Lord. I saw those called to work in the marketplace; the angels were taking account of every faithful act of service and every hour of time served. There are so many more scenarios that I could mention but I will keep this short.

Then I heard the words,

“Nothing is wasted! Nothing!”

You may feel as if you life is a series of events that are insignificant but God sees your life in a different way. He doesn’t only notice when you share the good news of His love with someone or pray for the sick, He sees it all, the times you minister and every moment in between. He keeps account of it all.

The next time one of you “stay at home” moms matches another sock or washes another dish because that is what God has assigned for you to do, then know it is being counted to you as an act of faithfulness. Or, the next time one of you gets ready for another day at work know that He sees it and counts it as faithfulness. Or, if you are a sent one who is sitting in another airport or sleeping in a bed that is not your own, He counts it unto you as faithfulness. Or if you are like me and have been called to pioneer faithfulness and encourage the body and you are moving yet again…He counts every moment as faithfulness!

Nothing is wasted…nothing! Heaven is watching, angels are keeping accounts and your Heavenly Father takes great joy in rewarding you.

“…you must stand firm, unshakable, excelling in the work of the Lord as always, because you know that your labor isn’t going to be for nothing in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Beauty For Ashes

Yesterday, our global family (Watchmen For The Nations and Revive Israel), had a Shavuot online gathering. During that time David Demian asked me to share a vision that I had recently had. Since then a number of people have asked for a written version of the vision so I will share it here for those asking.

Vision of the Ash Heap

As I was praying I was taken into a vision where I saw a large and deep pile of ashes. The enemy and his demons where looking upon this ash heap and celebrating with a sense of great victory. They were laughing at what they had accomplished and mocking God— for it appeared that the enemy’s plans had reduced everything to ashes.

These ashes were not like those found in a fireplace or fire pit but rather like the very fine and sifted ashes that remain after a death and cremation. No substance remained that could ignite. I could feel the presence of people all around the world viewing these ashes and the grief was so deep that it took my breath away. How could anything good come of this because it was as if nothing remain but death and ashes.

Then, suddenly the hand of the Lord came and he began to dig deep within the ashes. I wondered what he was looking for because every layer was just more ashes. But finally, I looked and saw that very deep under this heap of ashes the Lord had revealed many glowing embers. The Lord smiled as he looked upon them and I knew by revelation that no amount of ashes could have snuffed these embers out— for they were the prayers of the saints. He had protected these embers and allowed them to be hidden for such a time as this.

He then began to blow upon the embers (prayers). As his breath touched the embers, they began to glow a very bright amber color and his holy presence touched them and they suddenly ignited into a great fire. Then, out of the ashes a golden crown and scepter arose and as it did, in a moment, the ashes blew away as a sudden burst as his love brought a heavenly oxygen to the fire.

This scene immediately reminded me of fire falling upon the altar in the showdown between the prophets of Baal and Elijah. It was an impossible “set up”— wet wood surrounded by water— and yet when God touched it, his fire fell and consumed it!

How could God ignite a fire upon ashes or resurrect that which has died and been reduced to fine ashes? But suddenly he will come with his hand to reveal the embers of prayers and he will breathe life upon these hidden embers. His crown of dominion and scepter of authority will be revealed and the ashes will be no more.

We will see a “BEAUTY FOR ASHES ACT OF GOD.”

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬

The Alabaster Wineskin

The following piece was written one year ago today. I believe that this is still happening and it is what the enemy fears the most. Read it and know that the new wineskin will pour forth the new wine.

The Alabaster Wineskin

For two months now I have been seeing in my spirit the new wineskin but had no words to describe what I was seeing other than to say it was seamless and the word, “Oneness” was the best representation of what I was seeing.

I was caught completely by surprise when the Lord took me into an encounter where I saw this new wineskin up close. Rather than it looking like a wineskin made from goat skin this one was alabaster! The new wine that was being poured into it was from the liquid fragrance and perfume that came forth from oneness with Him and one another that was now prepared and being poured out.

I saw this perfume filling this alabaster wineskin that will once again be poured over the feet of Jesus by His bride— filling the atmosphere of the earth with the fragrance of oneness. Then the world will know!

“I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John‬ ‭17:23‬ ‭

This fragrance of oneness will fill the atmosphere and prepare the world for His return— bringing in the great harvest. The world is longing for the revelation of oneness and it’s fragrance.

For those transformed by this oneness no longer will theological opinions and differences separate us, denominations or ministry banners will no longer separate us, race and social status will not separate us, borders and oceans will not separate us— for God has drawn us into a oneness and I hear the same words that are spoken when a man and women are married, “What God has joined, no man can separate!” Just as nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, nothing can separate us from the oneness He is creating within His bride with one another.

Still, I was wondering how a wineskin and alabaster could be joined. They are two extremely different materials. I asked the Lord that question and when I did I saw His Bride and I heard the words, “Just look at her alabaster skin— so pure, soft and transparent.”

I had forgotten that often we will refer to a person or baby as having alabaster skin. This is what alabaster skin means,

“If you say that someone has alabaster skin, you mean that their skin is very beautiful because it is so white and smooth.”

Then I heard the verse,

“…that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:27‬

Is the bride the alabaster wineskin and her oneness with God and one another the perfume that fills it and is poured over the Bridegroom’s feet— filling the earth with the glory of the Lord? Is this how the world will know? Yes, they will know us by our love and oneness.

I am undone by the beauty of what the Lord is doing! Only He could do such a glorious thing. The Lord had spoke to me that this new era would have the theme, “Not by might, not by power but by My Spirit” says the Lord. This is surely proving to be true!

Thank you Spirit of God for doing in us that which we could not do for ourselves. We love you!

Rise!! Walls and Giants Will Fall As We Rise Again!

In 2020 the Lord gave me what He called, “The Three R’s For 2020.” Those three “R’s” were the words “Remnant, Ruach (which means Breath of God) and Roar.” They became the three themes that I saw overlaid in all that was taking place. Though the world had entered a global pandemic and my nation (the United States of America) had entered a new type of civil war, the global remnant was moving in the Ruach and Roar of God! It was a sound that called us together as a global Ecclesia and empowered us through His the breath to released His mighty roar.

As we moved into the first two months of 2021 it was as if the sound ceased, the breath was held and the remnant was suddenly hidden from sight. But there is something happening in this third month of 2021. Can you feel the shaking beneath your feet? Can you feel the atmosphere beginning to tremble with the fear of the Lord. And can you hear the rattling of the dry bones beginning to move?

There is a saying that says, “March comes in like a lion but goes out like a lamb.” This is a line from an old English proverb that refers to how March often begins with extremely harsh weather but ends with mild weather. But the Lord spoke the reverse to me, He said, “March will come in like a lamb but will go out like a lion!”

I saw a vision of a tiny newborn lamb trying to rise. This newborn lamb was soft and pure white. It was making the tiny sound that made me think of what new life would sound like. I asked the Lord, “Who is this lamb?” And He replied, “My reborn ones.” I saw that something deep had occurred spiritually that caused a rebirthing in His remnant where they emerged white as snow, tender (soft) in their hearts and with the faith of a child.

Then the vision changed and I was suddenly taken back into an encounter that I had a few years back. In this encounter I was a small white lamb standing on a hillside looking down upon the walled city of Jericho. The voice of the Lord came to me and said, “Go down to the city and release your sound.” In this encounter I remember thinking, “I’m just a lamb and my sound is so very small.” But the voice of the Lord came once again and said, “Go down to the city and release your sound.” I began walking timidly toward the city and as I walked I noticed a large shadow overtop of me that I thought was a moving canopy. In my peripheral view I could see what appeared to be large poles moving with me as well. My first thought was that the Lord was covering me with His canopy of protection as I (in the form of this small lamb) was moving toward this walled city. When I was finally close to the city I heard Him say, “Now, release your sound.” I opened my mouth fully expecting the tiny bleet of a lamb to come forth but what came forth was the loudest lion’s roar I had ever heard. The sound caused the walls of this fortified city to crumble and the enemy (that held the city captive) scattered in every direction in absolute fear. Then, as this encounter continued, I suddenly found myself on a battlefield before an enormous enemy army. Standing front and center (at a distance) before me was the great giant, Goliath. Again I heard the words, “Go and stand before this giant and release your sound.” As I began to move forward the taunts and mockery from the army and from the giant were growing louder and louder. Yet, once again I noticed the shadow over me and the “poles” beside me as I walked forward (still in the form of a small lamb). When I was finally standing directly in front of the giant I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Look up.” I looked up and what I thought was a canopy of protection covering me was actually the under-belly of the largest lion I had ever seen. Then I looked and what I had thought were the poles where actually his four massive legs. I knew that the Lion of Judah had been walking with me (over me) the entire time. With this new understanding; faith and confidence filled me— for the Lion was much larger than the giant that stood before me. Then he said, “Release your sound.” Once again as I opened my mouth to release my sound what came forth was the roar of the Lion of Judah. The giant fell to his death and the enemy army ran in fear from that place where they had mocked me. Then I heard him speak the words, “I am with you— always!”

Then I was back in the vision that began this morning (March 8, 2021), when I saw the newborn pure white lamb that had been reborn. As I re-experienced the encounter from a few year back, so did this lamb. Then suddenly the lamb rose to its feet and took on the identity of the Lion of Judah. It took on the appearance, the sound and the power of the Lion of Judah. This vision ended with the words, “March will come in like a lamb but go out like a Lion.”

With this I saw the three “R’s” from 2020 (Remnant, Ruach and Roar) and then a fourth “R” was added— RISE! March will prove to be a month where we rise again! Like Jesus coming forth from the grave, the remnant will feel the breath of God, hear the roar of the Lion of Judah and we will RISE AGAIN!

Hope and Faith When You Can’t See

We all know that hope and faith is only needed for “what we do not see.” It is what keeps us moving forward, it is what helps us overcome and it is the wind that carries us into tomorrow. As believers, our hope and faith are found first and foremost in Jesus. We hope in His promises and we have faith in His everlasting love that will never fail us. Hope and faith are both with us and before us through our beloved Savior— they give us vision in our “today” and “a vision” (that brings expectations of beauty) for our tomorrow.

Hope and faith are easy to access in times of joy and light. In those times we lay down at night bathed in the pleasures from the day lived and we wake up the next morning in a joyful hope for even greater pleasure in the day that lays before us. Yet, sorrow, grief and unexpected hard times can come and when they do it can feel like you’ve lost yourself in a dark wilderness. You wake up and wonder how to find the pleasures that you had just yesterday and the expectations of pleasures that you dreamed of for your tomorrow’s. This unexpected sorrow can come through many sources— loss, lack, hope deferred, crisis or even just the atmosphere around you. Suddenly, in the midst of hope and faith you can’t find vision and everything become disoriented.

January 1st, 2021 became the beginning of a time of disorientation for me. It began a fierce 24-hour a day battle in prayer for my younger brother’s life that lasted 21 days; then I watched his beautiful body was lowered into a grave. At the same time, many in our nation were grieving, others were losing loved ones and isolation was taking a toll on the younger generation. Being a “feeler”, these things can really touch your soul with deep emotions. I am also a “glass half full” person, therefore my hope and faith were not shaken but my soul suddenly became downcast and disoriented.

The other day I had an appointment with the eye doctor because my natural vision has become very blurry and disorienting (a bit like my emotional and spiritual vision). When the doctor was finding my prescription she commented that I must be having a difficult time with things because one of my eyes is extremely nearsighted and one of my eyes is extremely farsighted (this is unusual). I was quite surprised and assured her that it has made my vision quite challenging. When she found the right lenses for both of my eyes and let me look through them, it was like coming out of the disoriented place and finding clarity.

This natural condition began to speak to me regarding my spiritual condition. In the natural I have always enjoyed perfect vision in both eyes. I could actually see further than most people I knew. This has been true spiritually as well. As a “seer” my vision is one of the things that I enjoy the most. I love to see God, I love to see His perspective and I love the “unseen” realm. Honestly, it is often more clear to me than the natural realm. What joy this has brought to my walk with God! When my physical vision began to change it was hard but I always knew that there were glasses or remedies to clear my sight. Yet, when 2021 began and suddenly my spiritual sight had changed— a deep struggle came with it. I couldn’t see clearly close up or far way. For a seer to lose vision is devastating. I wondered if there was a remedy for this?

Then the Spirit began to talk to me about how I needed new sight for the new age. Just like I am dealing with “aging natural eyes”, I need new lenses for a new time and age. Things have shifted and I need a “stronger spiritual lenses” for these days. His eyes must be the lenses that I look through to have vision and clarity for today and for tomorrow. Hope and faith are the frames but His eyes are the lenses.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight,” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭

My faith has had to increase and my hope fully found in Christ alone; not governments, earthly freedoms, comforts or even the people around me. When I look into His eyes I see beyond the temporal and begin to grasp the eternal. There, I find the window to the eternal and I am comforted and strengthen. Through His eyes I am able to come to the realization that my brother and all who have “died in faith” see with absolutely clarity now. They no longer are searching, striving or stumbling but they have eyes that have beheld our eternal HOPE. There promise of a future and hope is fully realized!

I have begun to understand that we do not have to wait to begin to have the beautiful Holy Spirit adjust our eyes to behold Him or to see the eternal realm. Our eyes are being adjusted to see beyond the world around us, see beyond the chaos and see beyond the heights we have know in order to grasp the eternal. I am still going in and out of clarity but I am learning to focus on His eyes so that I adjust my vision to see as He sees.

It is easy to see what has changed in the world around us. Darkness has covered the world and we have begun to adjust our eyes to see pretty clearly in the dark…but God is adjusting our eyes to the LIGHT— the Light that is eternal!

Another interesting thing that happened with my natural eyes is that I was having a hard time with light. All light sources were causing what I’d call “light flares” which were once again distorting everything else. During my eye appointment, the doctor put a plastic object over my eyes with tiny pin holes in it. She asked me to find a pin hole and look through it to the letters on the chart across the room. As I did that I suddenly could see what was before me. All of the letters came into focus. It was like a beam of light that gave me a portal of focus. This can happen when eyes have astigmatism which is when the front surface of the eye or the lens, inside the eye, is curved differently in one direction than the other. I believe that God is clearing up an spiritual astigmatism that has caused us to have a divided focus. His eyes are like that pin hole— the narrow way that brings clear and undivided focus.

Hope and faith will be the pathway to find His eyes which will open up the eternal. Heaven will be opened up before us as the cares of this world fade into the background. I believe we also need to refocus our thoughts. Philippians 4:8 says this,

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

The media, even Christian media, often is highlighting the darkness and demonic agendas that are being established as laws throughout the world. Wars and rumors of war fill the air with fear and dread– replacing hope and faith for some. Yet, God has given us instructions on where to focus our thoughts. It is a beginning place that will lead us to His perspective and His eyes…which are windows into the eternal.

Do not fear if you have lost clarity or focus. Ask our precious Holy Spirit to be your spiritual optometrist that will correct your vision and adjust your sight for the days that we are living in and the true hope set before us— which is eternal and unshakable. Jesus has sealed our hope with His blood— giving us a secure faith.

“Because God wanted to show His unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath, so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us. We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

Turn your eyes upon Jesus!

I Saw a Great Washing and Refreshing

As we all know 2020 was a year of extremes. Many experienced extreme losses and at the same time many in the Church experienced extreme transformations. But, without a doubt, all of us were subject to the deep darkness of evil that was revealed and vile accusations that came from the evil one.

I saw a picture this morning of a woman who was returning from a long and treacherous hike in the wilderness during the winter months. She had scaled mountains, walked through deep ravines, crossed valleys and climbed over obstacles that blocked her way. She was muddy, weary but also so grateful for all that she had experienced, learned and overcome from the journey.

Then, in this vision, the Lord send angels to attend to her. First they removed her muddy boots and outer garments, then they removed the backpack off of her back. Then they ushered her into a warm home with a cozy fire burning. In this room there was a tub filled with steaming water and the rest of her garments were removed. She stepped into this warm tub of clear water and then the angels began to pour warm, clear water over her head. As the water ran down over her, it washed away all the residue from the long journey she had taken. The angels washed her hair, her face, her hands, her feet until they were washed clean. Then they poured oil over her to anoint her. This oil touched her heart and mind and softened it to keep it tender and sensitive (for she had seen things and experienced things on the journey that sought to harden her heart). Then they brought soft, white linens to clothe her in; including what looked like a towel or turban for her head. All of these garments were white but around the edges (sleeves, neck, ends and surrounding the towel/turban) were many words sewn in gold thread. As I looked closer I realized that they were scriptures from the Bible.

One of the scriptures was from Ephesians 5:26-27,

“…to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.”

Another was from John 15,

“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.” (vs. 3)
‭‭ ““I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.” (vs. 5)

There was also the verses from Hebrews 4:12-13,

“For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart. No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.”

There were more but those were the three that I am aware of. I found it so beautiful that the first scripture in Ephesians is from the chapter regarding how a husband should treat his wife. Our Bridegroom, Jesus, was doing just that for his bride in this vision. He was cleansing her by the washing of water by the word. Then he was clothing her in garments that represent purity, fruitfulness, unity and the sword of his authority.

I believe that 2021 is beginning with a washing of his bride. All of the residue from the long journey of the past year is being washed away. We are being anointed with oil and we are being clothed in purity, oneness and the authority of his Word!

The Word of God is your sword and shield. More than any other time, this year you will need to be equipped with his Word as your weapon and protection. You must clothe yourself in the Word of God and saturating your mind in his Word (wearing it like a turban). His Word will cleanse you! In a year of even greater exposures; his Word will clothe you, cover your nakedness and keep you pure. His word will wash you and keep you joined to the true Vine so that you will produce fruit.

His Word will be a tent or canopy over your life, your family and your home (even your ministry or business). It will be warmth, water and fire for you. Begin each day by reading his Word and praying his Word over all that pertains to you. Declare it over your home, your city, your nation, and over all who sit in seats of authority. For his Word is a two edged sword that will separate the holy from the profane.

I heard the words, “My Word is your key to success and fruitfulness! My Word gives victory and triumph to all that it touches. My Word keeps you pure and gives you peace. My Word is your authority and it brings heaven to earth.”

Let us saturate our lives and this year with the water of his Word!

The Rebirth of America

December 1st was such a significant day in prayer for America. The dawn of this new month, the 12th and final month of 2020, was ushered in by the nations gathering in prayer to stand with us, decree with us and see the will of the Lord established in our nation. I had the honor of being a part of the panel on this online global prayer gathering.

During our time of worship I kept seeing our nation going through a rebirth. As I was seeing this, one of the prayer leaders from the UK sent a text saying that she was seeing the final stages of a birthing (after a hard labor) and that the nations were the midwives for this birthing of America. This was confirmation of what I had been seeing but I knew that there was still something more.

As we continued in worship I received another message from a brother in Canada. It was a long message that I wasn’t able to read but within it’s context I saw the words, “…the US is a Joseph nation…” The moment my eyes saw those words I went into a vision regarding our nation. In this vision i saw America like young Joseph, who had been given the coat of many colors. His joy and even his confidence was in the coat or “this mantel given” to him (the call). Then I saw Joseph (who represented America in this vision) lay the coat of many colors down at the feet of Jesus. He bowed before him in humility and repented for putting his confidence in the gift rather than in the Lord alone. In this vision, as soon as he laid down the gift that the Father had given him at the feet of Jesus, the rebirth took place. This time I saw it resembled the birth of our Savior, born in humility; a humble King. The authority was never to come from the gift or the call but from humbling ourselves before our true King. The Father had given America a gift that was to be laid at the feet of His dear Son.

Together, during the global gathering (on the morning of December 1st), together, this Joseph nation called America, laid down the coat of many colors at the feet of our King, and we were rebirthed into the posture of humility that Jesus carried when he came to earth. We presented our gift to the true King.

If this bears witness with you, take a moment to join in the prayer that declares, “Today we lay down every source of strength, authority and confidence in anything other than full submission to King Jesus. We receive this rebirth into humble authority that serves rather than controls. We lay the coat of many colors at the feet of Jesus.”

This greatly pleases the heart of the Father, who gave America this coat. Now, like Joseph, we can govern with humble authority and wisdom that restores our fathers, our brothers and the nations of the world.

December is a month to bring gifts to the King! Jesus is the One who hung upon a tree to fulfill why He came to earth. In this month where we hang ornaments upon a tree and place gifts under it; let us bring our greatest gifts and put them at the feet of the One who gave his all. As a nation (and the nations of the world), may we bring all that has been given to us and offer it as a gift of full surrender and submission to our Savior and King, Jesus.

2021: A Wrestle or a Dance?

I recently had an encounter with the Lord regarding 2021 and beyond that was both simple yet profound. In the encounter I heard the words, “It will be either a wrestle or a dance.”

Then I saw a vision of Jesus inviting his people to dance with him. I knew that he had been teaching his remnant to move in step with him in a new, more aligned way during 2020. It will be so vitally important to “let him lead” in the days ahead. The dance will be intimate, face to face, and hand in hand but his feet will lead and ours must learn to follow. There is a saying that dance instructors use that is important to remember,

“Don’t look at your feet but rather look in my eyes and your feet will follow.”

As we keep our eyes fixed upon his, our feet will easily follow.

Then I saw others who insisted on functioning the way that had always done before. They were still trying to take the lead (in their personal Christian life, in family, in ministry, in business and in government). They immediately began stepping on Jesus’ feet and getting all tangled up in his steps. What was designed to be a dance suddenly became a wrestle. It will be a much harder path for those who do not draw near and let the Lord lead.

I choose the dance and I pray that you will too! It is time to draw very near— take his hand, and fix your eyes upon his— let the dance begin.

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”

A Vision of “The Lost Boys” (America)

As I was waiting upon the Lord this morning, I heard the Spirit of the Lord speak to me saying, “The lost boys of America have finally found their family.” After hearing those words, I went into a vision of the colonists coming upon the shores of America, but they looked like the “lost boys” from the story of Peter Pan. In this vision they learned how to thrive on their own, to survive on their own and how to lead on their own but never were nurtured or strengthened by the beautiful design God gives of having a father and a mother. This vision went from four hundred years of “independence” to today (2020). Suddenly I saw the nations being reunited with these “lost boys” (America) and they embraced them as a father and mother would if they had been separated from their child. They wept over them, surrounded them, blessed them and committed to never let them be alone again. As this happened the lost boys shed their garments of “being lost” and they were clothed with the garments of a prince. Strength, wisdom, interdependence and sonship came upon them. The spirit of adoption also came upon them and they could move and live from a place of blessing, acceptance and love.

As a nation we are in some of the most turbulent times that we have ever experienced, I have been so honored to watch nation after nation come and weep with us, weep for us and pour out both repentance and blessings upon us. They have become one with us and us with them. It has been overwhelming to see the beauty of the body of Christ throughout the nations embrace us and commit to never let us walk alone again. From England, to Canada, to China, to Indonesia, to Russia…and so many more. They are declaring over us, “You are not alone!” I have wept more in the past few month then I have in years- not because of the chaos in our nation but because of the beauty of the nations coming to comfort us and move from cursing to blessing. The global ecclesia has become like a father and mother to us- they have surrounded us and are providing the love and nurture that we need to become all that God intended America to be.

In the midst of acts of betrayal, fraud, accusations and hatred in our streets and in those who are known as leaders in our nation, there is a higher truth and reality that is happening above it all and it is in complete contrast to the chaos. That truth is that the body of Christ throughout the nations is embracing us for the first time. As we approach the 400-year anniversary of when the Mayflower came upon our shores, I believe that we have been prepared “for such a time as this!” Throughout the Bible we see that God considers 400 years a spiritually significant time period- especially regarding the preparation of a nation. God has a plan for our nation that will bless the nations of the world. It has taken us 400 years to be spiritually prepared to walk in the fullness of His plan and it has also taken the blessing of the nations to strengthen us and become “one with us” so that we can stand up and walk in His purposes.

2020 has been our year of maturing. It has opened our eyes to see our lack, our need and to yield to our God in humility and clarity. I believe that a “spirit of adoption” has come upon us and a oneness with Christ and with His ecclesia throughout the nations. It is the birthing of the answer to the prayer Jesus prayed in John 17:20-23,

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

There could not be oneness or unity if one nation were divided from all the others- not only divided but cursed. God in His sovereignty has used this year to turn that around. What we are seeing in not mere “acts of kindness” but a sincere and deeply felt heart response to a revelation from the Lord. We were made ready and they were made ready.

“You turned my mourning into dancing; You peeled off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks forever.” Psalm 30:11-12

This Is Not A Time To Run But To Retrofit Foundations

We all know the childhood story of the “Three Little Pigs” that has a terrible wolf who comes to “huff and puff and blow their house down.” Some might say that the times that we are living in is much like this little story. There is a very real wolf that is blowing on houses across the globe at this time.

Whenever I hear this child’s story I think of the story that Jesus told of the two foundations in Matthew 7:24-27,

““Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.””

Truly the torrential rains and the mighty winds have begun. We are witnessing and even experiencing the contrast of what is built upon the Rock and what has been built upon sand.

For me personally, I have taken this year to “examine my foundation” carefully. I have asked the Holy Spirit it retrofit my foundation and to search for cracks or any place that is not founded on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. When I feel “shaken” I immediately take that area of shaking before the Lord and ask Him to secure it upon Him.

One way to identify the areas that need to be “retrofit” is to watch where you have been shaken as the spiritual and natural winds and floods have come upon your life. In the story of “The Three Little Pigs”, the pigs that built their homes of straw and wood could not withstand the wind of the wolf but the one who built his house of brick was not only able to stand against the wind but also became a refuge for the one’s who lost their homes.

This is a simple and yet profound parable for this time. A “big, bad wolf” has been trying to blow some houses down! This is happening to individual houses and national houses. As we identify the areas that are collapsing as adversity comes— we have the opportunity to rebuild those areas upon a solid foundation. This is NOT a time to “cut-and-run” (because of areas of collapse or fear of collapse) but we are being given a window of time to allow the Holy Spirit to retrofit our spiritual foundation which will not be shaken.

We need the Lord to build our house and to watch over our cities!

“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm 127:1

Recently I saw a vision of people running away from cities, from regions and from circumstances in fear because it appeared that areas of their lives were collapsing. Yet, in this vision they were running away but taking the same foundations with them. They merely needed to remain still and allow the Lord to shore up their foundations.

Again, this is not a time to run but a time to ask the Lord to examine and spiritually retrofit your foundation! He is the great “home inspector!” Now is the time to ask Him to do a personal home inspection on your life. He will find the cracks and the vulnerable areas that need to be retrofitted to align with the standard of Heaven.

I am asking Him to do that for our family, our city and our nation— and the nations of the world. Do not run on fear but run “to the fear of the Lord!”

“How joyful are those who fear the Lord — all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table. That is the Lord’s blessing for those who fear him.” Psalms‬ ‭128:1-4‬

These are promises that should be manifesting within your home and family. I want the “Lord’s Blessing” upon my home— therefore I will follow His ways and make the fear of the Lord the standard that my foundation is built upon.

I declare the words from Psalm 1281-4 upon your life and your household. I pray that in every way you will follow Him and build upon His standards. May the Lord secure their foundations of His Church so that we might stand and be a refuge to those whose homes are collapsing. Amen!
