A Season of Reconciliation: For People, Tribes and Nations

By Kathi Pelton

Though 2021 has been a challenging year for many already, I have watched the Lord use this time to bring reconciliation to many broken and divided relationships. Our Heavenly Father is passionate about restoring and healing relationships and it seems that this year is an especially appointed time to allow God to restore what you thought was lost forever.

I have witnessed this in my own extended family as love broke walls of division. I have watched it happen among friends that separated from one another in pain and offense. And, just this month I witnessed a restoration and reconciliation in a nation. Many leaders, who once walked as brothers, were divided a decade ago but in the mercy of God a miracle occurred that restored them in humility and love. Today they stand not only reconciled, but the bonds are even deeper than the divide had been.

What we are beginning to see is the beauty spoken of in Psalm 133,

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!

It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.”

Humility is key for seeing this restoration occur in both individuals and in corporate settings. I believe that we are about to see some of the greatest testimonies of reconciliations that we have ever witnessed. The strongholds of pride and even the “right to be right” is being broken. We have all sinned and fallen short of his glory and it is in that posture that we will come. It is a level place where the righteousness of Jesus and his love covers a multitude of sins.

There may have been wrongs done but in humility we will say, “I repent of my wrong and I forgive you for wronging me so that together we may be restored to the righteousness of Christ. I will own your sin as my own and will you own my sin as your own— in this place we receive forgiveness, healing, reconciliation and his righteousness.”

Romans 3 says, “There is none righteous, not even one.” Therefore, we can come as one family, one man, one race— and in humility receive justification through Christ.

“…and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:24

The measuring rod is Christ alone and we have all fallen short. But oh, how the love of God has come to be poured out over us in order to redeem us— not by works or our “righteousness” (since the word confirms that none are righteous apart from Christ) but by grace through the blood of Jesus.

It is not about Jew or Gentile, race or creed, male or female, young or old…it is about being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

This is the time to leave our sacrifice at the altar and go be reconciled with our brothers and sisters.

“So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.” Matthew 5:23-24

I believe that there is a release of restoration and reconciliation beginning to happen in the body of Christ that will spread and have a ripple effect across the nations. Where racial and political divisions marked 2020, reconciliations will mark 2021.

I keep seeing mountains brought low and valleys raised up to create a level field to meet on. We have all fallen short and must be reconciled and justified by Christ alone. No more pointing of the finger at another, no more rehashing the rights and wrongs of past issues, no more looking at the speck in our brother’s eye when there is a log of offense in our own— ALL have fallen short and therefore we humble ourselves before one another and before the Lord to receive his grace and redemption.

“Then when you call, the LORD will answer. ‘Yes, I am here,’ he will quickly reply. ‘Remove the heavy yoke of oppression. Stop pointing your finger and spreading vicious rumors! Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.’” Isaiah 58:9-12

It is time to allow the Spirit of the Lord to repair the breaches and rebuild the ruined cities! If only we will bow in humility and allow his grace to remove the oppression. Let us be reconciled to one another in love and humility. This will cause our offering (gift) to be pure and undefiled by arrogance and offense.

Maybe before we lead another prayer meeting, sing another worship set or serve another communion— we should stop and be reconciled to our brother or sister, our neighbor, our child or our spouse. Then, together we can bring our gift before him— and watch the precious oil and dew wash over all.

How good it will be when we dwell together in unity!

Rise!! Walls and Giants Will Fall As We Rise Again!

By Kathi Pelton

In 2020 the Lord gave me what He called, “The Three R’s For 2020.” Those three “R’s” were the words “Remnant, Ruach (which means Breath of God) and Roar.” They became the three themes that I saw overlaid in all that was taking place. Though the world had entered a global pandemic and my nation (the United States of America) had entered a new type of civil war, the global remnant was moving in the Ruach and Roar of God! It was a sound that called us together as a global Ecclesia and empowered us through His the breath to released His mighty roar.

As we moved into the first two months of 2021 it was as if the sound ceased, the breath was held and the remnant was suddenly hidden from sight. But there is something happening in this third month of 2021. Can you feel the shaking beneath your feet? Can you feel the atmosphere beginning to tremble with the fear of the Lord. And can you hear the rattling of the dry bones beginning to move?

There is a saying that says, “March comes in like a lion but goes out like a lamb.” This is a line from an old English proverb that refers to how March often begins with extremely harsh weather but ends with mild weather. But the Lord spoke the reverse to me, He said, “March will come in like a lamb but will go out like a lion!”

I saw a vision of a tiny newborn lamb trying to rise. This newborn lamb was soft and pure white. It was making the tiny sound that made me think of what new life would sound like. I asked the Lord, “Who is this lamb?” And He replied, “My reborn ones.” I saw that something deep had occurred spiritually that caused a rebirthing in His remnant where they emerged white as snow, tender (soft) in their hearts and with the faith of a child.

Then the vision changed and I was suddenly taken back into an encounter that I had a few years back. In this encounter I was a small white lamb standing on a hillside looking down upon the walled city of Jericho. The voice of the Lord came to me and said, “Go down to the city and release your sound.” In this encounter I remember thinking, “I’m just a lamb and my sound is so very small.” But the voice of the Lord came once again and said, “Go down to the city and release your sound.” I began walking timidly toward the city and as I walked I noticed a large shadow overtop of me that I thought was a moving canopy. In my peripheral view I could see what appeared to be large poles moving with me as well. My first thought was that the Lord was covering me with His canopy of protection as I (in the form of this small lamb) was moving toward this walled city. When I was finally close to the city I heard Him say, “Now, release your sound.” I opened my mouth fully expecting the tiny bleet of a lamb to come forth but what came forth was the loudest lion’s roar I had ever heard. The sound caused the walls of this fortified city to crumble and the enemy (that held the city captive) scattered in every direction in absolute fear. Then, as this encounter continued, I suddenly found myself on a battlefield before an enormous enemy army. Standing front and center (at a distance) before me was the great giant, Goliath. Again I heard the words, “Go and stand before this giant and release your sound.” As I began to move forward the taunts and mockery from the army and from the giant were growing louder and louder. Yet, once again I noticed the shadow over me and the “poles” beside me as I walked forward (still in the form of a small lamb). When I was finally standing directly in front of the giant I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Look up.” I looked up and what I thought was a canopy of protection covering me was actually the under-belly of the largest lion I had ever seen. Then I looked and what I had thought were the poles where actually his four massive legs. I knew that the Lion of Judah had been walking with me (over me) the entire time. With this new understanding; faith and confidence filled me— for the Lion was much larger than the giant that stood before me. Then he said, “Release your sound.” Once again as I opened my mouth to release my sound what came forth was the roar of the Lion of Judah. The giant fell to his death and the enemy army ran in fear from that place where they had mocked me. Then I heard him speak the words, “I am with you— always!”

Then I was back in the vision that began this morning (March 8, 2021), when I saw the newborn pure white lamb that had been reborn. As I re-experienced the encounter from a few year back, so did this lamb. Then suddenly the lamb rose to its feet and took on the identity of the Lion of Judah. It took on the appearance, the sound and the power of the Lion of Judah. This vision ended with the words, “March will come in like a lamb but go out like a Lion.”

With this I saw the three “R’s” from 2020 (Remnant, Ruach and Roar) and then a fourth “R” was added— RISE! March will prove to be a month where we rise again! Like Jesus coming forth from the grave, the remnant will feel the breath of God, hear the roar of the Lion of Judah and we will RISE AGAIN!

The Awakening

By Kathi Pelton

Do you feel the “awakening” that is beginning to take place? If you don’t, then get ready to! God is awakening His church and He’s waking up those who have not been awakened to the unconditional love of the Father.

I hear the Lord speaking the words from John 11:11,

“Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up.”

I began hearing words like, “My friend __ (fill in the blank) has fallen asleep but now I will go and wake him up.”

I hear it over sons, daughters, cities and nations.

“My friend America has fallen asleep but now I will go and wake her up.”

It has been like an echo resounding in my spirit for many days now. Only, within the echo the name changes each time it goes forth.

There is a great awakening! In the places that a spirit of lethargy or even death has come to put even those in Christ to sleep (or in a grave); God is kissing His bride and awakening her to be His bride.

There are prodigals that are waking up and many sons and daughters will suddenly come to their senses; they will be overwhelmed with WHO HE IS! Deceptions will fall away, lies will be replaced by truth and true identity will be restored. They will suddenly understand and be awakened to the depth, height and lengths of the love of God for them.

There are people, churches, cities and even nations that have been like Lazarus; dead and stinking in a sealed grave but Jesus will arrive on the scene to “Awaken His friend.”

I believe that we are about to enter a time where we will even see the dead raised. Not merely the spiritually dead but the physically dead. He will be glorified through the raising of the dead and many will believe because of these miracles.

Unbelief is like the death of faith and God is about to display His unbelievable power that will break this death and unbelief off of many. They will believe and put their trust in God once more.

There is an old and very loved Christmas movie called “Miracle On 34th Street” where the young Natalie Woods is trying to have faith and belief for the first time. In one scene toward the end of the movie she is riding in a car on Christmas Day repeating the words, “I believe, I believe…” over and over. Her miracle not only comes but it far exceeds her wildest dreams. I keep seeing this scene in my mind and the great joy she experiences when her childlike faith “to believe in the impossible” is finally realized.

We may be in for a “Miracle On 34th Street” type of experience for many who have lost their childlike faith. The death of dreams and desires will be awakened and great joy will fill hearts once again. The Lord took me to Exodus 34 while I was pondering the title “34th Street” and this is what I read,

“Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord —the awesome power I will display for you.” Exodus 34:10

Miracles! Awakening! Resurrections! He is going to awaken His friends. Begin to declare, “I believe, I believe!!” Let it ring through the atmosphere and into the places where unbelief has brought death to your faith. Let it rise like the sound of a bell ringing or the sound of life coming back into a dead man. “I BELIEVE!” Shout it, sing it, declare it over every dead thing.

Miracles are coming and all the people around you will see the awesome power of your God!

An Angelic Rousing in March

By Kathi Pelton

On March 1st I began to feel something stirring in my spirit and in the atmosphere that was like an awakening or a “rousing”—a stirring—in my spirit to rise up and begin to march once again. As I woke up on March 2nd I felt the strong sense of angelic presence— as if they’d come to rouse, awaken, and recommission those who have been waiting and watching.

I live in the Washington DC region and since the beginning of the year it has been a time of waiting, worshipping, watching, and washing. It has felt like being cocooned during a transition and personal metamorphosis. Yet, I have been so aware of the evil that has been taking place from DC and from those who have taken residence there to lead our nation away from God and His statutes. Even so, many have not been released to do anything but wait, worship, and be washed.

But suddenly I sense this “spiritual rousing” is stirring in the atmosphere and I sense that it looks a bit like the breath that comes upon the dry bones, causing them to gather together, stand up, and receive muscles, flesh, and life; then they march forth as an army.

Do you feel the mountains that have stood before you, to block your way and your vision, beginning to tremble? Do you feel the ocean that pulled you under it’s mighty strength beginning to roar with the voice of the Lion of Judah, who is calling you to rise and walk upon the surface of what fiercely pulled you under? Do you sense the presence of His heavenly host coming to rouse and commission His army that has been waiting in caves?

Something is stirring. Something is trembling. Something is rousing and something will rise. It is as if a moment of great silence descended on us, and God’s people entered into a holy hush as they became “still.” It has been a “Be still and know that I am God” posture of pure and unadulterated trust in Him. All we have known to do is to stand, because we did all that we knew to do already.

I hear in my spirit a unified and unbreakable sound in the distance coming from a great army arising; not from one nation or one people but from His global family. As I listen intently for the words they are carrying I hear one line repeated again and again. It is the words, “In God We Trust!”

No longer will these words belong to America or merely be words on American currency, but they belong to the people who have been called by His name and who have stood in His faithfulness alone. These words have now been written on their hearts and upon their lives.

They know one another by the spirit and have been joined spirit to spirit by His Holy Spirit. They have been forged in fire; their lips have been purified with coals from the altar; their hands have been cleansed with the pure water of His Word, and their hearts have become fully His. They will trust in no other and follow no other but the One who is King of Kings.

Respond to His angelic rousing— deep calls unto deep as He stirs a great awakening.

A Crisis of Faith

By Kathi Pelton

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:11

Now more than ever are we seeing so many believers in Yeshua experiencing what I would call a “crisis of faith.” This current crisis will do one of two thing; it will either usher those who wrestle to the point of surrender into a unshakable faith or some will abandon the faith by which they were saved. My constant prayer is that not one person would abandon their faith.

I believe God has allowed this crisis, not to hurt his people but to shake the shakable areas so that we can recognize them and yield them to the firm foundation of our God.

Most of the Christian church in America has had at least a moment of disillusionment, disbelief and even a spiritual crisis as 2021 has begun. Of course we do not know what tomorrow will hold but we do know who holds tomorrow. If these days of shaking or crisis have done anything for me (personally), it is to bring me into a greater surrender and dependency on who HE is rather then on how he does things.

Even the current “prophetic crisis” can turn eyes from the man (or woman) who has become known as a prophet to the One who created him. I sense a holy jealousy in the heart of God for a bride whose eyes are fully fixed on his. A bride who will put her faith and assurance in who he is more than what he does. A bride who doesn’t turn her face away when life doesn’t look like what she thought it would. A bride who has no other “lovers” but her beloved Jesus. This does not mean that we do not have prophets but that we do not elevate them to the point that they are exalted in any way.

So, maybe the question isn’t so much to be focused on if the prophets were right or wrong but rather it should be, “Who is the bride’s faith, loyalty and focus upon?” I am not saying that there is not to be accountability in the prophetic but there also needs to be a personal searching of individual’s hearts if their faith was more in a prophetic voice or a desired outcome than in Christ alone.

We have not seen tomorrow, therefore we do not know what is ahead or what only God can do. We know that, without a doubt, some details and timings were wrong but we do not need to loose faith in God or despair because those who see in part got parts wrong. As most of my readers know, I truly believed that the president would be re-elected and although I never prophesied a second term or a re-election by January 20th- I surely thought that it would happen and was not secretive about that. Does that cause me to loose faith? No, because my hope, assurance and faith is not in my thoughts or the way I believe something will play out, but my faith is in Christ alone.

During my brother’s illness with Covid during the month of January. Many people wrote to me and encouraged me with notes, prayers and even declarations that he would “live and not die.” Some even saw visions of his healing. Yet, on January 21st he died in the arms of his wife. Should I lose hope or judge those who sent me notes saying that they saw God healing him? Never!! God fully healed him and he entered into the fullness of joy that day. Their words were not wasted because they strengthened my soul through the day and night battle that we were in. In Christ, death has lost its sting and there is only victory.

I cannot tell you what is ahead for our nation, our world or even my life. I don’t know for sure if even greater crisis will come in 2021 or if a miraculous turnaround will suddenly appear. I tend to lean toward both being present simultaneously but both not looking anything like we’d expect. So what do we do? We put our faith in the absolute, unfailing love of our God! We surrender (let go of and repent for) every place of resistance, rebellion, idolatry, anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, unholy justice, wrath and hatred. We stop pointing fingers at others for what we chose to believed and we fix our eyes on the One who is faithful and true. We humble ourselves before the Holy One and we join with heaven in declaring, “Worthy is the Lord!” He is sovereign and his dominion has no end. God has not been shaken— we have! Now we must put every shaken area upon the unshakable foundation of the Rock of Ages.

If you are in a crisis of faith then this is a gift to you so that you can cooperate with the Holy Spirit to shore up those areas of crisis and replace them with Christ. In the midst of my grief about our nation, the place that we live (in the Washington DC region), my brother’s death and so many more things— I have found that the one sure thing is JESUS! He is more than enough to believe in, hope in and put my full assurance in. He holds every answer in his hand and has not turned aside from any prayer of faith that was prayed or that will be prayed. His ways are higher and he is calling us to a higher place. A higher and purer faith. An unshakable faith.

Crisis can take you to the place of “Christ is…” Christ is absolutely faithful, absolutely holy, absolutely sovereign, absolutely beautiful, absolutely worthy, absolutely pure, absolutely powerful and absolute LOVE.

Let your crisis take you to this revelation,

“Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God.” Revelation 19:11-13

THIS IS WHO HE IS! Crisis averted!

Pondering Deep Truths: Stillness and Knowing

By Kathi Pelton

Grief is a quiet place that is filled with timeless memories, silent prayers and a stillness that only a few are invited into.

It’s an interesting place where “gifts” don’t seem to matter much and all the activities of normal life that filled my time now seem so unimportant. The veil between the temporal and the eternal becomes very thin in this place.

I don’t know if this is grief or just what God is doing right now but even my normal prayers fall short and all I want is to be totally surrendered. Silent surrender seems to be producing deep intercession— wordless but deep. I want to know Him as He is, I want to see His face and learn the intricate movements of His ways, I want to be like Him. Here in grief I find a deeper hunger for the truth of the words, “Be still and know that I am God.”

Rather than my confidence in Him wavering in this place of loss, it has shifted my confidence from what He will do, to a confidence in “Who He Is.” That is the ultimate victory. Understanding His sovereignty, gazing upon His beauty and pondering His eternal perspective consumes my thoughts and desires.

Some days I feel like a caterpillar going through a personal metamorphosis. It is hidden, quiet, still and yet change is happening in this place. Maybe the whole body of Christ is going through this and the grief of “what was” has become our cocoon? Maybe grief is a gift of grace to birth us into a new identity and new way of living? Maybe our tears are like the perfume that flowed out of the alabaster jar upon His feet.

I have always loved my family so deeply but in this place I only want to look into their faces and drink in the unique beauty God created them in. I want to sit next to my husband in silence and just know that he’s here with me. I want to embrace the people I love a little longer and honor others in a way that actually restores their souls.

I want to fully embrace the words, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” No more striving— no more want because I have everything I need in Him. There is nothing but Him that I can take with me when I leave this world so may He be my whole “want.”

I haven’t forgotten all that we did in 2020 to see our nation saved. It was beautiful and how honored I felt to be a part of it and to stand with nations that stood with us. When I asked my Heavenly Father about it, He just smiled with such a proud smile upon His face as He looked upon His faithful children. He will be exalted in the nations— that is the line that comes right after, “Be still and know that I am God.” We exalted Him and He received it all like a proud Papa. We danced, we repented, we wept and we shouted for joy…and it made Him smile— it wasn’t perfect but it made Him smile. My brother’s life wasn’t perfect but made Him smile— he knew he was perfectly loved. Your life makes Him smile and my “very imperfect” life makes Him smile. Perfect love looks good on us.

For me, 2020 was my year to learn the ways of “Be still and know that I am God” but 2021 has begun as a year to live what I’ve learned. I have become very still…maybe because of grief and maybe because of grace. Who He is has caused me to become still…HE IS GOD.

Testing 1, 2, 3, 4

By Kathi Pelton

The words, “Testing 1, 2, 3, 4” are most often heard when a person is doing a microphone sound check. It is to check clarity, levels and balance. So, it was interesting to wake up hearing these words. It is like a heavenly sound check is taking place. I then heard these words from the Book of James, chapter 1, verses 2, 3 & 4,

“2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

I wonder if too many of God’s people are trying to figure out what is going on by gauging the world around us? I hear statements like, “This is what I heard but this is what I see.” I surely understand and I get why there are questions, concerns and confusion. Personally, my world has been altered on so many levels but then I remind myself of Bible story after Bible story where absolute defeat turned into a greater victory than expected when the narration of events was written by God and not man. Here are just a few…

Young Joseph was given a dream and a coat of many colors that promised him authority, honor and favor but the promise did not play out like Joseph thought they would in his young mind. God’s narrative quite honestly seemed at best cruel and harsh; betrayal, slavery, isolation, abandonment, false accusation, imprisonments— but then the promise came to pass. The journey looked nothing like the dream but the outcome was so much greater and saved a nation in a time of great famine!

Then there was Moses. He went to Egypt as a deliverer of the Israelites but I guarantee you that each time he told Pharaoh to “Let my people go!” and the Israelites labor was increased and plagues came upon the land that they most likely not only questioned his authenticity but also did not view him as a deliverer. I imagine the accusations against Moses and Aaron were numerous. But God’s narrative once again played out much differently than even Moses expected. Not only were they delivered but their enemies were defeated.

Let’s not forget Lazarus! He was a personal friend of Jesus; a family friend where he found a home. Basically, Lazarus was an “insider” and counted among Jesus’ inner circle. When he gets sick his sisters know what to do…go get Jesus! Surely he will not let his personal friend die. He will come quickly and heal his friend. But no. He delays and almost seemingly strolls without any urgency to the home of his friend. He’s not only late, but Lazarus has been in the grave for days. The pain felt by all is real and raw. The questions of “where were you” and “if only you had been here” were intermingled with such deep grief. Yet, once again our God was not late but He was narrating a different story than anyone understood. The natural was not going to dictate the sovereignty of God or His ways. Although Lazarus was dead and it appeared final (nothing could be done)— then Jesus showed up and spoke, “Come forth!”

Last, Jesus came through a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, fed thousands with only a small lunch and raised the dead. His disciples knew He was their long awaited Messiah. They had such hope, such promise and so much confidence in Him. They had seen the miracles and watched power flow from His hands. They knew that victory had come into a world of oppression. But then their precious Jesus was arrested, betrayed, beaten, crucified and put into a gave. Can you imagine the grief, the shock, the confusion and the questions. I am sure that there were many moments of great division as His disciples and followers tried to figure out what had just happened and who was at fault. I would imagine that there were fingers pointed at one another and accusations made. Pain often looks for a reason or for “what went wrong and who is to blame?” It was not a pretty sight…where had love and unity gone? But then the third day came…God’s narrative once again prevailed in the greatest victory known to mankind happened in the greatest moment of division and despair.

Here we are again…

2021 has begun with what many are perceiving as the greatest defeat they have seen in their lifetime. An increasingly horrific global pandemic, oppression and evil manifesting like the plagues of Egypt, economic ruin for so many and the shock in America upon a church that prayed, repented for the sins of their nation, humbled themselves before the Lord and walked in faith regarding what they heard the Spirit speaking to them…then the opposite happened. But even when the narrative on earth looks nothing like what we thought it would— does that mean that we have been defeated? It surely looks like absolute defeat (for our freedom, for the unborn, for our children, for our safety and for righteousness to prevail). But God…

In this place of what appears to be contradiction to our faith suddenly fingers are pointing at one another, people are in pain, in grief and in confusion. They are looking for someone to blame or clinging to the narrative that they thought would occur. But God’s narrative always has a deeper work to be done.

What if the “testing of our faith” is upon us so that we become steadfast, complete and lack nothing? Maybe in the midst of emotional turmoil and deep grief we should stop trying to figure out the Almighty and begin to “count it all joy” that our faith is being tested. Maybe we should stop pointing fingers and instead raise our heads so that we see the face of God. Maybe…just maybe, a much deeper work is being done.

For me— my personal losses and pain is bringing up dross that needed to be removed. Places that I didn’t even know that I had held unresolved issues have suddenly been uncapped so that I can be washed and purified by His blood.

This is my “sound check” moment. It’s like God has put a stethoscope to my heart and is saying, “Testing, 1, 2, 3, 4.” I believe this is happening for all who are willing. He’s clearing and purifying the sound of our hearts. He’s balancing and aligning us to His heart, His ways and His pure sound. He’s removing every obstacle that blocks the pure sound of His good news and perfect love.

This is our James 1: 2,3,4 time. Let us count it all joy and then watch a greater victory than we ever imagined come forth as we see a bride without spot or wrinkle emerge. We have not been defeated…we are having our faith tested and it is time to allow Him to make every adjustment needed.

Our Bill of Rights Renewed Through Thanksgiving

By Kathi Pelton

I had an experience yesterday while resting that came in an unusual and unexpected way. It came as I was watching a very innocent older TV series that had similar scenes as what I am about to share. The Lord came upon me while watching this and it and turned the very scenes that I was watching into a “now encounter” that was deeply significant to his heart.

In this time I watched American Christian couples in their homes grumbling and complaining about what is happening in our nation (obviously, not without cause). Father’s were enraged and mothers were fearful. The atmosphere was one of defeat, fury and despair. In one home the children were in another separate room from their parents and they were sewing an new American flag. As their father shouted in anger they wondered if they should hide the flag that they had planned to raise. The children looked confused and fearful as their father continued cursing their nation. Then, in another home, there was an immigrant family who had come to America for freedom from a communist nation. They understood the great loss that was taking place but rather than cursing they began to bless our nation. This immigrant father began to quote the words of Article 1 of the Bill of Rights (pictured below) and he was leading his family in a song of thanksgiving for a nation that was founded upon these freedoms and rights (freedom of worship, religion, speech and press). As his voice went forth it was heard by households near and far causing repentance to touch the hearts of the fathers. They wept in repentance for complaining and even cursing our nation. Then they began to thank God for the blessings of America. They began to once again bless our beautiful nation and the children’s tears ceased and smiles of joy came upon their faces. A spirit of heaviness was replace by the oil of gladness. Then all of these families gathered together to bless our nation and thank God for the freedoms we have enjoyed (the freedoms that men and women have given their lives to uphold). This posture of thanksgiving and blessing caused a white flag pole to be raised. Then the children brought the new American flag that was then raised upon this flagpole. Together they began to sing, “America the Beautiful.”

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

After seeing all of this I saw God hold up our Bill of Rights and I could hear him decreeing article one over our nation. I believe that we are to decree and pray for it with him. We are to close the mouths of cursing and open the mouths of thanksgiving and praise. May God shed his grace on our nation and crown us with brotherhood from sea to shining sea! May the flag of freedom be raised by those with childlike faith and joyful hearts. May father’s words turn from cursing to blessing and mother’s hearts move from fear to courage. Lastly, may we protect what many immigrated to our nation to enjoy…FREEDOM!

Do It Again!

Today I have had the song by Elevation Worship, Do It Again, playing in my mind all day long. The lyrics are familiar to many but as a reminder— here is some of them,

I’ve seen You move, You move the mountains
And I believe I’ll see You do it again
You made a way, where there was no way
And I believe I’ll see You do it again
I’ll see You do it againYour promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence
You’ve never failed

I have sang it, declared it, proclaimed it and put my faith to these words today. Our nation has unmovable mountains that seek to block the way forward— but faith can move mountains! It’s happened before and will happen again!

Though the shakings will most likely intensify, do not loose heart because of what your eyes will see. Trust that God is shaking everything that can be shaken. Do not despair— be wise and gentle, prayerful and at peace, if you need to weep don’t forget to dance afterwards, and love one other- encourage one another and trust in the Lord with ALL your heart.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the same God who spoke the world into existence, parted the Red Sea, saved men in the fiery furnace, was born of a virgin, called the lame to walk, the blind to see and the dead to live again! He will DO IT AGAIN!

Jesus answered them, “I assure you: If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:21‬

May we see Matthew 21:21 manifest many times in 2021!

He is a miracle working, way making, God of the impossibilities. He loves us and has heard our prayers and responds to our faith! Do not doubt that mountains will move and we will cross over!

Time To Ascribe!

By Kathi Pelton

On this first day of 2021 the word “Ascribe” has been resounding in my mind and my spirit like a bell tolling to announce God’s attributes. To ascribe means to attribute, impute or assign a quality or cause to something or someone.

The 96th Psalm ascribes certain qualities to Yahweh,

“Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name; bring an offering and enter His courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth. Say among the nations: “The Lord reigns. The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken. He judges the peoples fairly.”” Psalms‬ ‭96:7-10‬ ‭

As I read these words (declared these words), I could feel the weight of the authority we carry as His Ecclesia to ascribe to the Lord attributes that fill heaven to be made manifest on earth.

Therefore, we ASCRIBE to the Lord glory and strength! We ASCRIBE to Yahweh the glory of His name! We enter His courts with confidence that He alone has established the earth and His attributes will be upheld on earth as it is in heaven.

We ASCRIBE all dominion and sovereignty to Yahweh!

Today, join with me to ascribe righteousness, justice, mercy, truth, wisdom, faithfulness, deliverance and victory to the Lord! We ascribe authorship of all of these attributes to God alone. We come into His courts with thanksgiving and declarations that He will pour out these attributes over all His creation— for the earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it!

Ascribe to Yahweh, you heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due His name; worship Yahweh in the splendor of His holiness.” Psalms‬ ‭29:1-2‬ ‭

Psalm 29 concludes with the words,

“In His temple all cry, “Glory! ” The Lord sat enthroned at the flood; the Lord sits enthroned, King forever. The Lord gives His people strength; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” Psalms‬ ‭29:9-11‬ ‭

He sits enthroned as King forever! He is enthroned over all the happenings on the earth today. We declare that He is enthroned over 2021 and all the activities on the earth in this time. He is enthroned over our lives. He is enthroned over all as we ascribe to Him all that belongs to Him and that He deserves! All authority, all dominion, all power and all glory are ascribed to Him alone.

Let us rejoice! He rules with righteousness and faithfulness— let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice! Let earth receive her King in 2021!
