An American Apology To The Great I Am

By Kathi Pelton

We live in a glorious land filled with rocky mountains,
green valleys,
rolling hills and
blooming deserts.

We have beautiful diversity in our people, places and languages.

We have known the freedom of speech, the freedom to worship and freedom to make personal choices. How blessed we have been.

Our pledge of allegiance declares that we are “One Nation Under God” and our currency reads “In God We Trust”…but America— we have divided our nation from the One we claimed to love.

God has looked for those who will stand in the gap of this great divide to pray– to repent– to turn back and to bow low.

Here we are!

Forgive us Lord. Forgive us for trading—
Mercy for mammon
Grace for greed
Freedom for captivity
Trust for tyranny
Unity for division
And- love for hate.

It is said that “United we stand, divided we fall” We are falling, oh God! We have divided from you and now freedom is falling, liberty is lacking and unity is unseen.

Our divided history has resurfaced, the secret societies have been revealed and the hidden agendas are now exposed for all to see. We are naked, we are cold and we need you!

God have mercy!

Those who still call upon your name, who put their trust in you and who know that you are our only hope now bow down.

We bow down in sorrow, we bow down in worship, we bow down in repentance and we bow down in prayer. We humble ourselves before the you— the great I Am.

Unless the Lord builds a house then all is vanity— forgive us for the vain and the profane. You are the only foundation that stands— therefore, we bow down and declare to the foundations of America, “Come back to the Rock that is higher than you! Return to the One who died for you!”

We bow low that you may be lifted high. Higher than our mountains, higher than our might, higher than our lofty thoughts. We declare, “Not by our might, not by our power but only by your Spirit shall we be saved!”

Forgive us for turning away from truth, turning from the one true way, turning from peace, turning from blessing, turning away from covenant and turning away from you.

We stand in the gap as representatives of this nation called the United States of America and we turn back to you! We declare that we are one nation under God and that our trust is in you alone. We declare true liberty from the captivity of sin for all. We declare your justice for every person of every color. We bridge the great divide with our repentance and our declaration of allegiance to you!

We love your Word, we love your ways and we surrender all to you today. Jesus, you are our King, our Lord, our Savior and our God. In you we trust and in you we put our confident hope. We run to you.

Forgive us, heal us and unite us in the oneness that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit share and have given to us. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word!

God Bless America— the land that we love. Stand beside us and guide us through the night with the light from above.

Amen!

Let There Be Light!

By Kathi Pelton

When my husband was attending Bible college in Louisiana, each week we would drive to pick up an elderly blind woman so that she could attend church and have fellowship. She lived in a very poor housing community and because she was blind she never needed to turn on the lights. Each week when we’d arrive we’d find her sitting in the dark. We would enter her one room home and click on the light sthat we could see— and each week, to our horror, the walls would appear to move because the light would expose the swarms of cock roaches that came out in darkness. They had multiplied exponentially in the darkness where a blind person lived. I share this story because I will never forget the shock and horror of seeing this each week when we brought light into the room. All that lurked in the darkness was exposed.

Today as I prayed for our nation I found myself praying that the Lord would “turn on the light and expose all that lurks in the darkness.” Quite frankly— that prayer is not a comfortable prayer because 2020 has surely been a year of exposurer that has left most feeling the same shock and horror that I felt as a young woman when I’d turn on the lights in this elderly blind woman’s tiny home. But if 2020 is a year of clarity and clear vision then we know from Ephesians 5:13-14 that “everything exposed by the light is made clear.”

“Everything exposed by the light is made clear, for what makes everything clear is light. Therefore it is said: Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:13-14‬ ‭

In some ways we were all similar to this precious blind woman prior to 2020. We lived in a blindness to what was lurking in the darkness of our nation (and the nations). Although we were not completely unaware of what was hidden by the darkness— we had no idea what was about to be exposed. 2020 has been as though someone came into a roach infested home and clicked on the lights!

Ephesians 5:8-11 says,

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light — for the fruit of the light results in all goodness, righteousness, and truth — discerning what is pleasing to the Lord. Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them.”

The good news is that once you know the gravity of the “infestation” then you can begin to bring the light that “results in goodness, righteousness and truth.” Exposure is shocking and even horrific but once the initial shock and awe passes it is time to clean house!

I personally make a habit of asking God to shine His light upon my life to expose any darkness or unclean thing that may be lurking in the shadows. I long for and earnestly seek to have clean hands and a pure heart. Though I do not enjoy the moment that something unholy is exposed, I am grateful for the mercy of God that brings light so that there is no darkness found within me.

As a nation it is as though we’ve been shaken out of a state of denial as the light has exposed darkness. It was already there but merely hidden from sight. It is hard to view and to look upon such vast darkness but just as in my own life, I pray that the light of Christ would come upon the deep and hidden places of darkness so that they can be exposed and made clean.

What now? That is a good question! His Word carries many answers for us. Although we know that in the end times the dark will become darker— we also know that the light will become brighter. So how do we exterminate what lurks in darkness? Let’s go further in the Book of Ephesians to chapter 6 beginning in verse 10,

“Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-12‬ ‭

Our battle in truly not against “flesh and blood” but against “the rulers, the authorities and the world powers of darkness— against spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.” Too many believers in Jesus are battling “flesh and blood” in this hour! Yes, these spiritual forces of evil that rule in the heavens are effecting the actions of mankind but if you’re focused on flesh and blood then you are fighting a losing battle. Just scroll through social media for five minutes and you will see how many Christian’s are battling flesh and blood. The true enemy is not found in the streets of America, in the halls of government buildings, in the media or even in those who lead social media platforms— the enemy is the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens that are controlling these individuals and agencies!

We must read further—

“This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word. Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:13-18‬ ‭

This is not a simple Sunday school lesson or song but a profound truth and strategy from Heaven about spiritual warfare. It’s time to stop talking about the roaches and reporting their movement and begin to “extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one” through truth, righteousness, thr gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God and Spirit filled (led) intercession!

This is not only a year of seeing clearly but it is the year of the “mouth” (Hebrew year that means “Pey” which is the mouth). Our mouths can reveal light and truth. Paul, the writer of Ephesians, goes on to make this request in Ephesians 6,

“Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:19-20‬

It is time to open our mouths to “make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel!” We are His ambassadors, clothed in the armor of God— letting light come forth from the very way that we fight our battles and from the words that reveal the Light of the World in the midst of darkness!

Pray that we, as God’s people, will walk in light, in boldness (in Him) to speak as we should. The light that we shine will expose the darkness to all who see. Do not continue to fill your thoughts and minds with every report of darkness but rather be bold and speak forth light. It’s time to take every thought captive so that we can tear down stronghold rather than just pointing them out!

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭

We need “divine power” that comes through full surrender to the obedience of Christ. We demolish every argument through divine power. “Not by might, nor by power but by His Spirit.”— divine power!

It is time to be bold in Him and reveal the mysteries of light! Let’s stop talking about the darkness so much and begin to be “ambassadors of light!” Although more exposure is still to come and needs to come, we also know that we are the ones to bring the light that awakens the sleeper so that the Messiah will shine the light of His truth to the world.

The Voice of the Lord Breaks the Cedars— Get Ready To See His Power!

By Kathi Pelton

In the past two weeks those of us who live in the Washington DC region have received numerous alerts on our phones regarding sudden thunderstorms accompanied by such extreme downpours that flash flood warnings had to be issued. These downpours have been amazing to witness— like signs from heaven. After receiving yet another one yesterday, I was reminded of a dream I had early in 2019, many months before I moved from the West Coast to the DC region.

In this vivid dream a heavy rain began to suddenly and unexpectedly pour; it was a downpour like I have never before witnessed that was more like a flash flood from heaven to earth. As this downpour hit the earth, flashes of lightning were accompanied by the simultaneous crash of thunder as these strikes hit a grove of tall evergreen trees, splitting them in two.

I awoke from the dream hearing the words from Psalm 29:5,

“The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.”

The Message Bible words it like this,

“God’s thunder smashes cedars, God topples the northern cedars.”

This dream came in the midst of the Spirit speaking to me daily about the need for the “fear of the Lord” to come back upon His people so that they can walk and release the fear of the Lord into the earth.

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”

When the enemy comes in like a flood (through witchcraft, perversions, and evil of all sorts) the Lord also comes like a flood to raise up a standard against him. I believe that God’s voice is about to come and raise up a standard! As the fear of the Lord returns to His Church it will release the awe of God that breaks—shatters—everything that has stood against Him.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20

A flood of evil that is being redefined as “good”has come to call darkness light and light darkness. But the fear of the Lord is about to touch the earth with a powerful strike that brings forth the Lord’s standard.

In my dream it was evergreen trees that were struck by this lightning. An evergreen tree was the symbol on the “Appeal to Heaven” flag that was flown by Washington’s Cruisers (George Washington’s first naval ships). This tree represented “Liberty” or freedom at the beginning of our great nation. Today it has become a symbol of prayer to see God return to our nation.

The definition of liberty is this,

the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.”

Or,

“the power or scope to act as one pleases.”

The enemy has been rewriting his definition of liberty within our nation and within the nations of the world. It has become a liberty to pursue evil and call it good while oppressing those who call for the righteous standard of God to be raised up. Within the context of the Bible the word “liberty” means freedom. This is the freedom to live apart from slavery to the masters of sin and the world’s systems.

Within the standard of the fear of the Lord we are given freedom from the grip of slavery to sin and to unrighteousness. The enemy has set up a Babylonian culture that enslaves and blinds many from the “way of freedom” that Jesus provided for us on the cross. When Jesus came and died, a way was made through grace for all to be set free.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭

When He died the veil was torn and we were given free access to boldly come before the throne of grace and be reconciled with God; enjoying His presence where true liberty is found. I believe that our nation (as well as the nations of this world) are about to see a great “rending of the veil” that has blinded the eyes of the world from seeing their Messiah. The gods of this world have stood like trees, creating a veil that blinds people from seeing Jesus and from the revelation of true liberty and freedom. These “gods” have cast a shadow of darkness that call darkness light and light darkness.

But wait! The Lord has the final say! His voice thunders; breaking the cedars and rending the veil of separation between God and man.

As the Lord returns the awe and the fear of the Lord to His Church it will release a flood and a sound that lifts up a standard that reverses the tide of evil with a tsunami of righteousness and truth.

“The time will come,” says the LORD, “when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine!” Amos 9:13

Now is the time to invite the fear of the Lord to come upon your life, your church, your city, and your nation. You are a part of the whole body and as the corporate anointing is established in the fear of the Lord it will bring liberty, freedom and breakthrough to the individual and the whole.

God is sending an alert to those powers and principalities that resist His ways and His will—

Rise Up My Love…Your Spiritual Winter is Over

By Kathi Pelton

I awoke this morning with the sweetest scent wafting through my room. I immediately began to see in my spirit lilies, roses and fresh baked pastries. The atmosphere was filled with His goodness and the sweetness of His love. Everything felt fresh and new.

Then I heard the familiar words from Song of Solomon 2,

“My beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land.” Song of Solomon‬ ‭2:10-12‬

I heard the phrase in my spirit, “Everything is coming up roses.” He is saying, “Arise!” He arose so that we can arise with Him. The Rose of Sharon is calling out to you, “Rise up from your bed of despair, from the grave of hopelessness, from walking among the tombs and live again!”

Arise from the place that has left you bent down and receive His invitation to enter into the garden of His love. He has prepared a banqueting table of the sweetest delicacies you have ever tasted. The flowers are always in bloom, the food of His banqueting table has been set out and the angels are singing songs of invitation and intimacy. His banner over you is love!

“He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love. Sustain me with cakes of raisins, Refresh me with apples, For I am lovesick. His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me.” Song of Solomon‬ ‭2:4-6‬

It is such an intimate invitation to you, His beloved bride. His hand will lift you up and His arms will embrace you. The sweet taste of His goodness will sustain you and heal you. His shade will cool you and He will cover you with a canopy (banner) of His love while blowing the cool breeze of His breath (His Ruach) upon you. His wind will refresh and revive you.

God is announcing the end of your winter and calling you into this intimate place to revive you with His love. Come! Arise Beloved! His hand is reaching out to lift you up. The door is opened to you—enter this garden of restoration and love.

Don’t Let The Bad Days Define You

By Kathi Pelton

Yesterday was a bad day for me! After a glorious evening on Friday night I woke up and was almost immediately plunged into an “all round” bad day. Yep— they come to all of us.

I’d say it was merely just one of those days that you hope won’t be an entry in the journal of your life but I had to look with the eyes of the Spirit to gain understanding about what made it so bad.

As I woke up this morning my first thought was, “Just shake off the dust, lay it at the feet of Jesus and enter into thanksgiving.” I had to refocus my thoughts, my emotions and my meditations on thing above! This is where that unshakable joy is taken hold of and pulled into our shakable emotions. When bad days come to shake your emotions— that is when we must find the unshakable foundation and truths of God. That is what defines our lives and that is what stabilizes and realigns the strongholds of our flesh with the stability of His Spirit.

We cannot always change circumstances but we can change our response to those circumstances. We need to understand that usually what needs to be realigned and brought back to the unshakable care of Jesus is our emotions and our flesh.

Whether you are a someone who gets sad, or angry, or anxious or melancholy…it doesn’t matter. The area that you are being “tossed around in is your flesh!” Yesterday my flesh (I tend to get really sad) was taking the lead! Although it happens to all of us from time to time— we cannot remain in that place because flesh driven emotions will never lead you to wise decisions or clear conclusions. They will control you with extremes (highs or lows) and begin to define the journey of your life according to your circumstances and soul.

Raw emotions will tell you to make vows or permanent decisions regarding a temporary problem. Most of the world is living according to their souls and living out the steps that are controlled by their flesh. This is why we see such chaos in our streets and why our neighborhoods are filled with so many broken families.

I believe it is Bill Johnson who says that he allows himself only three minutes to get over an offense. Some days you may have to do that numerous times but we must learn to quickly submit our flesh (emotions) to the Spirit that lives within us and allow Him to help you to take every thought captive.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

When you find yourself “waging war according to the flesh” (such as I did a good majority of my day yesterday), it is time to ask for divine power to overcome and destroy the “strongholds of your flesh” (arguments and lofty opinions) with the knowledge of God!

It is there that we take every emotional thought captive and submit them to the obedience of Christ. Just because you think you’re right does not mean that you are making righteousness (right) decisions. There is right and there is righteous and sometimes you have to lay down your rights to walk in righteousness.

On those “emotions gone wild” days, stop and pray those verses from 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 and ask the Spirit of God to help you to take every thought captive and to bring His divine power to help you to overcome personal strongholds. Otherwise you will just be waging war with flesh which will lead you into more flesh. Especially when another person is involved— two strongholds of flesh will never produce a righteous outcome. This is why we have so many divisions in families and friendships; it is mankind waging wars according to the flesh merely producing and fortifying strongholds.

In conclusion— do not let bad days define your journey! Your bad days need to be training days of how to take every thought captive through the divine power that overcomes strongholds. We ALL have strongholds that need to be overcome. They may manifest differently but until we are given glorified bodies we must learn to tame the flesh.

If you had a bad day then it’s time to practice taking every thought captive and seeing it draw you into the posture of “complete obedience.” If your bad day involves another person then remember that it is not them against you or right against wrong— it’s flesh against spirit and we must render discipline against the flesh until it submits to the obedience of Christ. Then the knowledge of God will lead you into all truth and overcome strongholds. The divine solution is found in the submission to His Spirit. Make today good by using the weapons of the Spirit! This is where fruitfulness will be restored.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

Let fruitfulness define your day!

555— The Great Grace of God

By Kathi Pelton

Recently I have found myself overcome and overwhelmed at the immensity and great lengths that the grace of God is extended to mankind! As we look upon the world (and all of the happenings around the world) and consider what God has looked upon for thousands of years, it merely points to the immeasurable patience, love, and grace within His heart. I cannot stop thinking about His grace and how I cannot thank Him enough for dying to give us salvation through grace!

Then, this morning I woke up at 5:55 a.m. which always reminds me of the verse in Isaiah 55:5 that is all about the “grace of God given to the gentiles.”

“Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:5‬ ‭

Nations and people groups— the gentiles— the ones found in the highways, byways, and country lanes, those hidden behind the hedges— will be urged to come. Some versions say, “Compell them to come.” Why? Because they will feel more like outcasts and unworthy to come to the wedding feast— but the grace of Jesus Christ says, “All are welcome!” There is room enough for all— the destitute and poor become the guests of honor.

“So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full.” Luke‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭

God’s intention has always been to bless all the nations of the earth. When Jesus came, He first invited His chosen people (the Jews) to come through the doorway of grace and receive Him as their Messiah, but many wouldn’t come (choosing to remain under the law of Moses). The Lord knew the gentiles were desperate for a Savior and for salvation through grace, so He “summoned them to come!” And they came “running to Him.” (Isaiah 55:5)

As I was studying “the grace of God” I came upon this quote by Bob Hoekstra,

“The law of God is unable to set us free from the domination of sin. It was never designed to do that. It was, however, designed to let us know what sin is and reveal our personal and individual proclivity towards sin. The law makes nothing perfect; it only demands perfection. Oh how that causes us to appreciate, to hunger for, to desire growth in the grace of God.”

The law of God (Moses) merely reveals to us that we all have fallen short and are slaves to sin, to our own depravity, so that we can run to the grace that sets us free! This grace truly takes my breath away and yet it is the very thing that breathes life back into all who receive it.

Recently my husband and I have been watching shows based on the history of our nation (Revolutionary War, Civil War, etc) and though there were heroic and beautiful things done during these times— some of the barbaric and horrific acts done by mankind against mankind made me realize that what we see in the nations today are nothing new; the current injustice and hatred and fear are historically what the human race looks like apart from the grace of God and the hope of salvation.

If we put Isaiah 55:5 together with Luke 14:23 we see the words, “summon them” (urgently call— like a 911 call) and “urge them” to come! Go to the most vile sinner and urge them to come to the rivers of grace to be washed in the love of Christ and dressed for the banquet!

Barnes’ notes on the Bible says this,

“So God is earnest in regard to the most polluted and vile. He commands his servants, his ministers, to ‘urge’ them to come, to ‘press’ on them the salvation of the gospel, and to use all the means in their power to bring into heaven poor and needy sinners.”

Therefore, should we be filling our mouths with judgements and hatred toward those who are acting out in the streets of our nation? Or should we recognize that, “But for the grace if God, there go I.” Shouldn’t we be summoning them to come, urging them to receive salvation, making a 911 call in prayer on their behalf. If we could only take the amount of time that people put into posting the reports of how horrific those in the highways and byways are acting and we went to urge them to come— maybe we would see the great harvest come in! If we would compell them, invite them, summon them maybe they would come through the door of grace (if only we would lead them there).

We must tell them! We must understand their need for grace! They need to be urged that there is a way where they see no way:

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭

There is hope where they see no hope,

“And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭

Let’s not forget where we once were, as we witness the depravity of mankind apart from God played out in the streets of America. May we ask God for the compassion that compels us to go and urges them to “come!”

“In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭

The grace of God is the hope for those who are raging against hopelessness. Hopelessness has taken their breath away but the grace of God will breathe life back into them, it will bring peace to the chaos, it will clear the confusion and set the captives free!

We need to understand one more vitally critical thing: the fullness of the Gentiles that will come to Christ will soften the hearts of the Jewish people and bring them to Christ!

“I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.”

Those raging in our streets may be the very ones that bring the “fullness of the gentiles to Christ.” We must be the voice of hope and lead them to the door of grace where Jesus urges them to come! There is so much at stake and we must be wise— stop raging against their rage and give them a door of hope (grace) to go through.

It is time! Grace to you—

Enter In

By Kathi Pelton

When guests come to our front door I want them to feel as though they’ve come home. Not merely coming as a visitor but as a member of our family. I intentionally create a welcoming walkway, front porch and front door. Then, when they enter I want them greeted with honor, warmth, love and beauty. I go to great lengths to make every part of our home inviting to all who enter— both physically and spiritually.

As I slept last night I kept hearing the words in my spirit, “Enter in.” Then I would see the beauty of Jesus opened up like a doorway into being received by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I knew that all were welcome, all were wanted and all were honored within this perfect union of home, family and love.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus is a refuge and through Him everyone has a home, a family and a place of honor at His table. There is no favoritism and no conditions— only acceptance and the invitation to come in.

Having been raised in a broken home with a lot of chaos and disunity, I remember being invited into some of my friend’s homes where their family made me feel like I was not only welcome— but wanted. They made sure that I knew that “their family was my family.” It was in those homes and within those families that I would begin to dream that I, too, could one day have a beautiful family and home that would be a refuge and hope to all who came in.

One thing that grieves my heart deeply (and grieves the heart of God even more) is when I hear Christians who live gripped in condemnation and fear (not the true fear of the Lord but fear of not being accepted). These individuals often avoid intimacy with God or entering into the depths of love that He has invited them into because they feel unworthy or condemned.

Yet, this is absolutely contradicting of “Who He is!” When we believe in Jesus as our Savior and surrender our lives to Him we are immediately covered and clothed in His righteousness. The filthy– sin stained– garments are removed and we are clothed in new white garments; garments of mercy and grace through the shed blood and broken body of Jesus. He paid for it all.

Yet, still many stay far off. The beautiful thing is that if you will take Jesus at His word and enter in you will find that His beauty and His righteousness will begin to transform you. Staying outside (afar) and trying to “clean yourself up” will merely take you only as far as your own strength— which is very limited— will go. Fighting the flesh with flesh will only take you back to the fallen flesh.

When you receive, by faith, the white garments of salvation and enter into Christ as your home, your family and your refuge then you begin to experience the depth, width, height and length of His love which is continuously transformational! It is where we go “from glory to glory” as we discover day by day His mercies, His beauty, His wonder and His love. This is where true change occurs.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Some translations say, “being transformed from glory to glory.” Why then are so many believers living with veiled faces— veiled with shame, insecurities, condemnation and an orphan spirit?

When Jesus died in the cross the veil was torn and all were invited to enter in through His sacrifice. No longer do we need a high priest need to go in for us with a rope tied around his waist in case he is struck dead! We can enter in through the righteousness of the One who paid the penalty for our sin— once and for all! We do not have to keep paying because He paid for it in full.

“And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭

Hebrews 10 goes on to say,

“For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.”
‭‭
Hebrews‬ ‭10:14-18‬

NO LONGER NECESSARY! Some of you are living under the law rather than the grace that the blood of Jesus provides. You can be confident that when you “come as you are”, clothed in His righteousness, that you will be transformed by His Spirit at work in you. But when you stay back, trying to make sacrifices to please or approach the Lord, you have returned to the law that Jesus already fulfilled. It becomes like a dog chasing his own tail— you go round and round but never catch that which you are chasing.

Jesus is calling to you, “Come— enter in!” His inheritance has become yours. All that He has now is yours as well. You can confidently and boldly enter in knowing that you are accepted and loved with a love that has no boundaries. Remember, there is no favoritism or one more righteous than another.

“But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans‬ ‭3:21-24‬ ‭

ALL have sinned and fall short— and ALL who receive Jesus are justified and redeemed completely! ALL!

It is time to draw near to God. Just as I can open up the door of my home to you— it is up to you to decided whether to enter in or not— the same is true with Jesus. He has opened up the door of heaven and made a way for you to enter in but He will not force you— He waits like the father in the story of the prodigal son. He’s waiting, longing and desiring to celebrate you! He longs for you to enter where He will send His Spirit and His angels to minister to you, transform you into His image and pour out upon you His love without measure. You cannot truly be transformed before entering in— the law proved that throughout the Old Testiment. But the law of grace, where you are freely pardoned and set free, has opened the way for you to enter in just as you are.

“…let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22

He is calling to you, “Enter in!”

REMNANT— ROAR — RUACH: The Spiritual Three R’s of 2020

By Kathi Pelton

The Spirit of the Lord has given me three very specific subjects for this time to release and focus our prayers and declarations upon. I’ll call them the “Three R’s”

REMNANT

I spent almost two months meditating on the story of Gideon’s army. This began when the Lord spoke to me saying, “It’s time for My remnant army to arise.” I was immediately shown Gideon’s army of 300 men going out against the mass (uncountable) number of Midianites.

As you know from the story, Gideon had his men light torches of blazing fire and put them in clay jars. They went to the edge of the enemy’s camp late at night and at Gideon’s signal the clay jars were broken to reveal the “blazing fire.” This was accompanied by the blowing of the rams horns and a shout declaring, “For Yahweh and for Gideon.”

From the first time that the Lord spoke the words, “It’s time for My remnant army to arise.” I would see the scene of Gideon’s army breaking the clay jars to reveal the blazing fire (torches) play again and again in my mind. I would hear the “breaking of the jars” like an echo from long ago reverberating off the obstacles we face today.

The words, “blazing fire” was before my spiritual eyes daily. I knew that there was more that the Spirit wanted to show me but didn’t know what it was. Then one day recently, I was in Washington DC praying and I heard the words from Revelation 19:12 that say,

“His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Immediately, I knew by the spirit of revelation that the blazing fire that was about to be revealed before the enemy armies of today are “His eyes of blazing fire.” And— we are the broken clay jars that will reveal them.

“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7

God will REVEAL His eyes of blazing fire through the broken clay vessels of His REMNANT army— causing great fear and confusing in the enemy’s camp.

There was another time where His eyes defeated a great army. It was when He looked out of the pillar of fire upon the army of Pharaoh and created a confusion that ultimately destroyed them.

“But just before dawn the LORD looked down on the Egyptian army from the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw their forces into total confusion.” Exodus 14:24

The first “R” is remnant. It will be the remnant that brings the revelation of His eyes of blazing fire. The declaration of who He is in Revelation 19:12— of His eyes, the crowns upon His head and His title is so powerful in this hour! Daily declare His “eyes of fire” to look down upon the demonic armies!

ROAR

The second “R” is the roar of the Lion of Judah.

After Gideon’s army broke the clay jars to reveal the blazing torches they let out a shout and blew the rams horns. Each time this story would replay in my mind and spirit I would hear the great roar of the Lion of Judah accompanied by His remnant army. It was a great sound that struck terror into the enemy’s army. It even crumbled the demonic obstacles that I had heard the sound echoing off of. The sound of His roar and our shout will shattered the walls— just like the shout that brought the walls of Jericho down— giving the victory to God’s people.

“The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?” Amos 3:8

I hear great roars coming from throughout the earth. It is the sound of His people in many nations joining in with the roar of the Lion of Judah. This is the sound that strikes terror and shatters fortified walls.

RUACH

The third “R” is “Ruach” which is the Hebrew word for “Breath of God.”

As I have spoken of in previous articles, “The Battle is over the BREATH!” We know that Coid-19 causes symptoms that make it hard to breath (or even take the breath away completely). We know that the last words from George Floyd’s mouth were, “I can’t breathe.” And we know that the use of masks is making it hard for many to breathe (reducing oxygen flow). The world is terrified of other’s breath (due to the virus) and terrified of not having breath.

Why? All of this attack on the breath is because the enemy knows that the RUACH is about to come upon the dry bones!!

Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life. I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 37:4-14

The enemy knows that an army is arising! The “Ruach” (breath of God) has been bringing the dry bones together in oneness. This is the answer to Jesus’ last prayer before going to the cross in John 17:20-23

““My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

The bones are coming together as ONE! One man, one great army that is one with Christ! It is the breath of God that comes upon the dry bones to restore life! This is why the battle over the breath is so fierce— it is what the enemy fears the most!

We are in the Hebrew year 5780— the year of “Pey” or “the mouth.” The mouth is where breath is taken in and blown out. The mouth is what prophesies. The mouth is what declares the REVELATION of His eyes, the ROAR of His voice and the RUACH— the breath of God!

Do not hold back your breath! Prophesy— for we all can prophesy His Word and His truth! Prophesy the revelation of His eyes, the sound of His roar and the “Ruach” in your homes, your churches, in the streets of your city, over governments, nations and over the earth!

May His eyes of blazing fire look upon the enemy armies bringing terror and confusion, may His roar be sounded like a shofar that breaks the walls down and strikes terror and confusion and may His “Ruach” come like a mighty wind that blows away the darkness and breathes life into the dry bones!

Let it be so!

Time To Breathe— Send the “Ruach”

By Kathi Pelton

Yesterday I was talking with a dear friend who has Covid-19 and he was sharing the darkness he experiences when he cannot get his breath. I have also heard this from others who have contracted this terrible illness. They all say that there seems to be a dark assignment within this virus that is attached to “breath” or the lack of breath.

Then I began to think of George Floyd and his last words, “I can’t breathe!” Those very words have pierced the heart of our nation at a time where the victims of this virus are speaking the very same words.

As I prayed and pondered this I found myself taking deep breaths. My heart was aching for those who are struggling to breathe. But as I took these deep breaths I felt life and hope coming back into me.

The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” Job 33:4

I find it interesting that the Book of Job has numerous instances where the breath of God is mentioned.

“By His breath the heavens are cleared; His hand has pierced the fleeing serpent.” Job 26:13

“But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.” Job 32:8

We all know what Job had gone through— the loss of family, the loss of health, the loss of wealth, and the loss of friends. But in the midst of this book we find the breath of God credited as the source of life and understanding. I love when it says, “By His breath, the heavens are cleared.”

There is such a war raging in the heavenly realms over the breath of the Almighty coming upon mankind, and the sound that is to be released from His sons and daughters. This Hebrew year is represented by the mouth and the sound that comes forth from the mouth (5780: “Pey”— the mouth), and it seems the enemy has taken all of his demonic resources to block our breath so that our sound will be silenced.

Without breath a man cannot speak or even utter a sound! Recently I had a dream in which a musician could not get his breath and his song was being silenced; although this dream had other meanings I also am reminded that we need breath to speak or to sing.

As you know, in California there is a ban on singing in church (or “chanting” which is probably referring to corporate prayers). Why? There are natural reasons regarding controlling the spread of the virus, but we can also discern that the enemy is inciting men to fear the breath that is released when there is corporate singing or praying.

The battle is for the breath of God and the breath that gives us words of declaration and songs of praise. The enemy has sent a virus upon the breath of man. We are afraid to breath on one another; we are afraid that the breath of our neighbor will infect us and take the breath of life from us.

There is a demonic reversal of “breath” happening. When we breathe in we feel life but when a man is dying there is a final exhale that rids his lungs of air— never to breathe in life again.

Yet— the BREATH OF THE ALMIGHTY cannot be stopped! His sons and daughters must breathe in His breath and be filled with life once again. If you are experiencing a sense of being silenced or losing your song, your words, your voice, or your life— then now is the time to ask for the “Breath of the Almighty” to come and breathe life back into you!

Thanksgiving, high praise, declarations of “Who He is,” prayers, worship, and even the “groaning that is too deep for words” must go forth to defeat the assignment to steal the breath of life! Though we have been separated physically, it has not stopped the sound. More 24/7 worship is happening via the internet then ever before. This has created a second wave of warfare to remove the breath in order to stop the sound!

Now is the time to see a second wave of prayer and praise drown out the enemy’s army! It’s time to “Sing a little louder”—or a lot louder! Sing for those who cannot sing, cannot speak, and cannot find their breath.

There is the sound of prophecy that the Lord is releasing. I hear Him saying, “Prophesy breath!”

Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” Ezekiel‬ ‭37:4-6‬

Prophesy His breath, sing songs about the breath of God, declare the Word regarding the breath of the Almighty! Breathe life back into the air— pure life filtered through His Spirit!

Ruach” is the Hebrew word for “breath of God.” God breathes His Spirit (Ruach) into us! As I have shared in many of my articles in 2020, the Lord showed me prior to the new year that this would be a year that would be defined by, “Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit” says the Lord of Hosts. It is the breath of His Spirit— His Ruach— that is striking fear into the enemy! It is His Ruach who is needed as never before!

This is how we prophesy, this is how we gain understanding, this is how we live and breathe. Cry out for the Ruach to come— the breath and wind of His Spirit to blow and breathe life into the earth and it’s inhabitants. Do not hold back. Breathe life!

De-Crowning Corona

By Kathi Pelton

On Saturday night I either had a dream or a spiritual encounter in the middle of the night where the church rose up to de-crown and dethrone the Corona virus which caused it to lose the authority to rule and spread.

In this dream/encounter two things happened; we removed the rule or crown of the virus and we decreed the One in Revelation 19:12 as King,

“His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself.”
‭‭
As we declared that Jesus is the One King with many crowns— the virus bowed down and began to shrivel up and die. As long as it wore this demonic crown to rule over the nations (which really is a demonic power/principality that has a self-appointed crown) it controlled people, nations, times and seasons over the earth; serving the plans of the enemy. But as the Church— the Ecclesia— took her place of authority to remove the crown, which removed its throne of rulership and restored all rule, all authority and all dominion over the nations to the One with many crowns— Jesus Christ, then the powers that used this virus to rule with were dethroned and decrowned.

A more appropriate name for this virus and the powers that rule over it is Absalom! It is a self-appointed crown that seeks to rule. But there is only One who sits on the throne to rule over the nations with justice, righteousness and mercy: the One with many crowns, Jesus!

This virus wears the “mask” of a king but it is an imposter that seeks to silence and mask the Ecclesia from releasing the sound of deliverance. It seeks rulership and power but we declare that all power and authority belongs to Christ Jesus alone! No other power but His! No other king but the Lion of Judah!

Let’s declare aloud that Jesus Christ, the one with blazing eyes of fire, the one with many crowns, the one whose robe is dipped in blood and whose title is Word of God and “Faithful and True”— is the only One we crown. He is the One true king that every king, every ruler, and all creation will bow before. All other crowns must be cast down and the crown of Corona is not only removed but is trampled under the feet of the armies of heaven.

His eyes of blazing fire are about to look down upon the armies of darkness and oppression to send them into confusion, chaos, and defeat.

Arise, King of Kings— now, may Your enemies be scattered and destroyed.
