The Emergence of the Nameless and Faceless Generation

by Kathi Pelton

In February 1989 my husband and I were a part of the pastoral team at a northern California Vineyard church. That month a prophet by the name of Paul Cain released a word at the Anaheim Vineyard; a prophecy that became known as the vision of the “nameless and faceless generation.” It deeply impacted and shaped many of us in the Vineyard movement. We began to pray and declare that our sons and daughters would be that generation.

Here is how Paul Cain describes the vision he had exactly thirty years ago,

“In February 1989, at the Anaheim Vineyard during a conference, I prophesied a time when athletic stadiums and arenas would be filled with God’s people preaching the gospel and healing the sick in extraordinary fashion. In my vision I saw ambulances bringing in the worst medical cases, the local hospitals being emptied to deliver their patients to these events, and the dead (dead people!) being raised by an army of nameless and faceless Christians releasing a wave of miraculous healings and conversions. This vision encompassed multiple venues over an extended period and spoke of God’s glory being released in an unprecedented manner and on a scale that had not been witnessed before. In short, this work was not the result of men; this was the work of the Father himself!

In my vision, the international media were reporting the amazing events as they took place. This was the news of the day: every channel, every station, and every nation. This was not an isolated Christian event, the kind that is well known and publicized in the Christian community, yet even the immediate neighbours of the event have no clue what is happening inside; rather, this was a series of events that would affect the world and the communities around the stadiums and arenas.” (Paul Cain)

Last month, on February 12, 2019,exactly thirty years to the month after Paul released this revelation, he passed away. The Lord had told me to pay attention on February 12 & 13 because it would be a “demarcation mark in time.”

When I woke up on the 13th and read that Paul had passed away during the night hours, I knew that a new day was dawning on earth.

Since that day I have been pondering the vision of the nameless and faceless generation that we all carried so close to our hearts from 1989 onward. I believe that Paul’s passing was a marker that signals the unveiling of this generation.

A few nights ago we were out to dinner with some dear friends. The Lord had been so present in our conversations, and we were surprised when it unexpectedly began to snow outside (this is not common this time of year in the Portland, Oregon area). Within minutes the ground was covered with a white blanket. As this happened I began to share with our friends about the “nameless and faceless generation,” and as I did the Lord took me into an encounter where I saw a thirty-year assignment against identity that the enemy sent when Paul Cain’s vision was released.

I was taken into a brief but profound vision where I saw a white haired man (Paul Cain) speaking forth the vision, and as he did the enemy grabbed hold of it in terror and sent orders to bring about a demonic demonstration of a “nameless and faceless generation” by bringing such deception and confusion about their identity that they wouldn’t even know their gender. He would use fatherlessness, the media, Hollywood, the education system, and every means possible to release confusion in the lives of the younger generation so that the pure and holy vision would be snatched away. The enemy has relentlessly unfolded his plan for identity confusion over the past thirty years. I recently had a thirty-year-old tell me that she identified as “Z.” When I asked her what that meant she said, “It means nothing. I have no identity!”

Then the Lord said to me,

“Kathi, if my people will gather together and begin to decree over the earth the true identity of this generation that is loved by their heavenly Father, then they will be redeemed. Call for the nameless and faceless generation to emerge with purity and holiness unto the Lord. Surround and support them as mothers and fathers until they come into such oneness with Me that My name and face is all that is seen.”

It is time for the Abraham, Issac, and Jacob generations to be joined as one generation that will carry the bold courage and spirit of Joshua and Caleb. I believe that this nameless and faceless generation will bring forth life from death! God will send fire upon their sacrifice and it will show all the world that He alone is God! It will displace the idols of Baal and the false prophets of the secular world that have deceived our children and brought great confusion resulting in lost identity.

It is now time for us to gather and call forth God’s plans and purposes for this time and this generation. This thirty-year-old prophesy is for now and is being made new. The old and new, the young and old, the ancient paths and the future paths are converging for the sake of the pure emerging. The fear of the Lord will be the standard and the longing for holiness is even now resting upon many individuals. Heart motives are being purified, restoring first love and a desire for Jesus’ name to be heard and His face to be seen.

It is time!

Shoot the Arrow and Strike the Ground

by Kathi Pelton

There have been a number of themes that I have been hearing in my spirit this month. One of them is, “Strike the ground!”

In 2 Kings 13, Johoash, King of Israel, was told by Elisha to shoot an arrow from his bow out the east window and when he did Elisha called it the “Arrow of the Lord’s victory.” Then he asked the king to take more arrows and strike the ground. The king struck the ground only three times and therefore only received three victories over Aram. Elisha then says, “If you had struck five or six times; you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will only defeat it three times.”

I find it interesting that the “Arrow of the Lord’s Victory” goes forth through the air first…making a way for a complete victory. The king is then asked to strike the ground with more arrows but he falls short of completion. I believe that just like in this story, the Lord goes before us and creates (opens) a victory in the spirit realm (the air…the unseen) but then we (His kings and priests/sons and daughters) must partner with the victory that He sent forth by striking the ground here on earth. Our strikes must match what is needed to completely destroy the enemy. Yet, so often we stop short and though we have victories we do not see the complete destruction of the plans of the enemy.

We have seen that on many fronts; from moves of God that displace the enemy and establish the Kingdom of God through His Ecclesia to the issues in the land such as abortion and identity. I believe that the arrow of the Lord’s victory has once again been shot and that the prophets are asking the Church once again to pick up the arrows and strike the ground. Not once, twice or even three times but the full amount needed to completely destroy the enemy and the sin that had come upon the land. Our nation (and many nations) have done evil in the sight of the Lord and God is calling for repentance (turning away from sin). Even the church has been found with sin and stain that has stopped us from receiving the full victory.

This time can be different! A remnant is arising that is repenting and striking the ground until the enemy and the “evil done in the sight of God” is completely destroyed. We have come to the end of an era where the church fell short; causing divisions, offenses, and allowing the enemy to advance. But we are beginning the ground strike by striking the ground of the the places in our hearts and lives that have been occupied by the enemy. We are simultaneously striking the ground of the land with repentance, prayer, the blood of Jesus, declarations of His Word and worship.

The Accuser is presenting “evidence of wickedness” before God regarding the lives of the His people but because there is great repentance happening now (in this hour), I hear the Lord saying, “INADMISSIBLE!” The evidences of sin have been covered in the blood of Jesus and can no longer be brought forth. Authority is being restored to the innocent…His Ecclesia!

There is personal and corporate repentance taking place now that is changing everything. It is putting the church in the offensive position rather than the defensive posture. The evidence against the enemy is admissible and God is judging the evil that he has done.

This is what repentance looks like. It is like being held in a prison cell and repentance is the key that opens the door to set us free. Repentance is freedom! It is the release from the captivity of the enemy! It is such a great gift!

We are marching forth in March. Marching out of prisons that have held many captive for years. Even “life sentences” are being reversed! God’s arrow of victory has been shot and now we must strike the ground and not stop short. We strike the ground for the evil that has been done in the sight of God in our personal lives, in the church and in the land. We will strike the ground for unborn in the womb and the unborn in the spirit. It’s time to birth sons and daughters! It’s time for a move of God that has no end!

The arrow of the Lord’s victory has gone forth and now is the time to strike the ground that brings forth change!

An Invitation Into The Deep

by Kathi Pelton

“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.” Psalm‬ ‭42:7‬ ‭

The sons and daughters of God have been invited to be taken into the deep places that will cleanse and purify our hearts. It is a deep purging of everything that has kept us from His perfect love, His truth and His ways. It is a baptism with cleansing water and a fire that refines. A way is being made into the deep places of God’s heart but the way requires that light must expose all darkness and fire falls upon the human heart.

These deep waters are answering the prayers that have come before the Lord that have cried out the words of David from Psalm 51:10-12

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

We are in a Psalm 51 kairos moment in time where the deep longing to be holy as He is holy is resting upon us. The longing of God and the longing of His remnant have converged with a kiss of oneness. There is a convergence with the deep groaning (intercession) of Jesus, the groaning of creation and the groaning of mankind to be reconciled to His original intent and His perfect love.

This is why there is a roar coming from the Lion of Judah that releases the sound of restoration. This roar is bringing us into the depths of perfect love that cleanses us (His bride) and is releasing the fire that purifies. We long to be a bride without spot or wrinkle and suddenly we are more aware than ever of our spots and wrinkles. In the grip of this awareness and awakening, repentance becomes such a beautiful gift. Repentance draws us deeper and take us higher; it breaks down the barriers that keep us bound to the shame of sin and stains.

Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. Isaiah 1:18

There are moments that “the deep” feels as if it might swallow us up or drown us but it is actually taking us higher. It is making a way for the motives of the heart to be made pure so that we can walk in oneness with Christ and oneness (unity) with the body.

He is calling out your name and inviting you into the deep places. It is an invitation into the depth, heights and widths of His perfect (agape) love. His perfect love brings water that cleanses and fire that purifies; making us whiter than snow.

Say yes to His call to come deeper!

The Great Power Released Through Praise. Sing Out, “Great Are You Lord!”

by Kathi Pelton

Rare is the time that I am not filled with great courage when I am exalting the Lord! Singing His name and declaring His nature releases an infusion of confident assurance and fearlessness as I am intimately connected to who He is. Worship will lift me from the earthly realm, with all that weighs me down, to the heavenly place that I was created for.

“For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6

We are seated in heavenly places, united with Christ! The greatness of the Lord is united to us and dwells within us. The God who created the heavens and the earth, who put the stars in the sky and keeps all of the universe working together is united to us. Worship ushers us into that reality and experience. His power and goodness never leaves us or forsakes us but worship causes our souls to join with heavenly truth and from there we declare, “Great are you Lord!”

I think that we often forget the unfathomable and surpassing greatness of our God throughout the hours of the day as we get busy with the mundane tasks. We go out into the world more aware of our weakness then we are of His greatness. There is not a single day, let alone a single second that we are not united to the One who sits upon the throne of grace. All power, all honor, all majesty and all that is in heaven and earth belongs to Him.

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth…”Matthew 28:18

Yet, this God who holds all creation in His hands and whom all authority belongs to also cares about every detail of our lives. It is beyond comprehension to imagine this truth. How can His love span such vast horizons and still reach down to personally connect with every detail of our individual lives? It leaves me undone to realize that He values me so greatly. It causes me to release the words, “Great are you Lord!” Trying to understand this kind of love is beyond what our greatest moments of imagination can fathom. Our understanding of human love cannot touch this kind of agape love.

How is it that we are intimately united to this King of Glory? Why do we still tremble at the storms of life? How can it be that we still doubt or question if He sees us or knows our needs? This God who holds all things together also holds our lives His hands. I stand in awe in the face of such love and kindness.

Not only does He have authority over all but through this uniting with Him we too have authority. We have His Spirit living in us! This is the very power that raised Jesus from the dead and we are united to the power of His Spirit as well.

That is why we shout, “Great are you, Lord!”. That is why can be brave, courageous and strong…it is because we have been united to Him!

The Beauty of Tears Offered As Praise

Kathi Pelton

Last night my husband and I sat with four young people that we love deeply. A couple of them were experiencing profound pain, so we put aside the night’s “agenda” and we sat with them, held their hands, held them and then all six of us began to weep together. We wept with deep intercession and tender love. Jesus was so present there weeping with us.

Then the young man began began to offer his pain as praise declaring, “You are worthy of my praise in the midst of pain.” His tears became drops of worship like the costly perfume offered over the feet of Jesus by Mary. The pain in the room was so real but the praise offered in the midst of the pain released a sweet aroma that filled the room with His presence and beauty.

We were all undone as we entered into the hope and the offering of praise in the face of pain.

Romans 12:15 says,

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”

We have become well-acquainted with both weeping and rejoicing with the ones that we love. We know that pain lasts a night but “joy comes in the morning.” Sometimes the nights are long but surely morning will come and then together we will rejoice.

All too often we are quick to try to “cheer someone up” rather than merely sit with them while they let their tears flow. What if we stopped and wept with them with no answers or words? If we would do this we would probably experience what we witnessed last night: a time where in the midst of pain the alabaster jar is broken and the costly perfume of praise that was formed in the pain is poured out upon His feet. Each one of us entered into the weeping and then received the anointing of the perfume that was released.

The words, “Nothing is wasted, nothing is wasted…” were whispered through the tears and I want you to know: your pain is not wasted, your tears aren’t falling upon the ground but rather upon His feet. Not one is wasted.

Jesus wept!

He weeps with you and turns the tears and pain offered as praise into an oil that anoints His feet and fills the atmosphere with the sweetest and most costly fragrance. Because the offering out of pain is far more costly.

For those who are in a “night of weeping”—let it flow out until it intermingles with His presence where it will becomes a sacrifice of praise that fills the room. It is so beautiful.

Love Never Fails

Kathi Pelton

My husband and I have the high honor of being the pastors of the young adults at our local church. Though we have traveled around the world and been a part of global initiatives, serving this group of young adults and watching them learn to walk in love may be one of the highest calls we have walked in.

Recently some of the young women in our group came to us and began to share with deep vulnerability and transparency regarding some of the ways that they have experienced, and even been a part of, areas that violate the description of love in 1 Corinthians 13. They shared how even within the family of God they often have dealt with jealousy and competition. This violation of love has greatly impacted their lives as they were both recipient and perpetrators of this spirit that comes to divide friends and family. These young women decided that they will no longer just tolerate this in their lives or the lives of their friends so together they are humbling themselves before the Lord and one another to shed light on the areas that have violated love.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬ ‭

The enemy knows that LOVE NEVER FAILS therefore he most effectively will target the souls of men (and women) in order to provoke them to embrace thoughts and action that go against God’s love.

Jealousy creates an “instant win” for the enemy, pride aligns the heart with rebellion, demanding your own way divides intimate friends, keeping a record of wrongs fortifies unforgiveness and the list goes on!

But love…love never fails! We must press in and ask the Spirit of the Lord to search our hearts and remove every alignment with attributes and actions that violate love. Within each one of us there are blind spots and areas in our hearts that need greater alignment with the love that God has shown us.

This is a prayer that we can all say that will yield our hearts to the work of the Spirit and uncover the places in our hearts that allow the enemy to bring defeat by violating love.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

I long for His people to know and live in the beauty of a love that never fails. We have that in Christ but will Christ have that in us?

The sound of love is the sound of victory for all. The enemy has been drowning out this sound with the noise of gongs. But the Lord is calling out to us, “Silence the cymbals and release the sound that never fails…the sound of love.”

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1

Come Lord Jesus and teach us love. Remove every violation and agreement with the enemy that has failed us and divided us. Search us and see if there is any offensive way in our hearts and lives. Create in us a clean heart oh God!

“Make Me Holy!” The Deep Cry Coming From His Sons and Daughters

Kathi Pelton

There is such a deep work that the Holy Spirit is doing in lives at this time. I have honestly never felt an absolute longing to be “holy as He is Holy.”

1 Peter‬ ‭1:15-16‬ ‭says,

“But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.””

I feel emptied of “me” in so many ways. Everywhere I go I talk to believers that are experiencing the same thing. It is a desperation to be one with Him; to be purified from anything that has exulted itself above Him or diminishes His beauty and faithfulness from being displayed in any way.

This is not a work that can be done in the flesh or even a desire that can burn within us apart from the fire of the Holy Spirit igniting it. It merely requires a willingness to yield to the work of the Spirit who searches our hearts.

There is a yearning from deep within many of His sons and daughters that cries out the words from Psalm 139:23-24

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Do not fret over the sense of being emptied or become overwhelmed by the experience of deep calling out to deep. You are not alone in this process. Our souls are being purified for the sake of living as Jesus lived; to only do the will of His Father.

Invite His fire to come upon you and give Him permission to purify your heart. The end result will be “oneness with Christ” and “being holy as He is holy.” He is worthy of it all and worthy of us all.

“Jesus, have your inheritance in our lives and in all the nations.”

New Year’s Day 2019: Crossing into the Promised Land

Kathi Pelton

On the morning of January 1st, 2019, I awoke and looked at my phone to see the time. It was 4:44 a.m. When I saw this something quickened in my spirit and I knew I needed to pray and pay attention to what the Lord desired to say.

The number four Biblically represents a demarcation point in creation; the fourth day the sun, moon, and stars were created, separating day from night and providing light for both. There are also four separate seasons in a year providing a demarcation of changes throughout each year. The fourth commandment is to rest and honor the Sabbath, which is a demarcation in time each week where we go from active work to focused rest.

This new year (2019) is a demarcation year that signals a time and season shift or change. It is also a year that God will reveal great light in the day and great light in the night (darkness). His light comes from the place of His perfect love and perfect love cast out fear. Fear of darkness will be met by the light of His perfect love and that love will cast our fears that have gripped the hearts of so many.

Immediately upon waking on 1/1/2019 at 4:44 I went to my Bible and opened it. As I did the Spirit asked me to look down and read the page that I had opened to. These are the first words that I read in 2019,

“Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach (captivity/slavery) of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal to this day. On the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, while camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, the Israelites celebrated the Passover. The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land: unleavened bread and roasted grain. The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.” Joshua‬ ‭5:9-12‬ ‭

In the Hebrew language, Gilgal means circle and stone. We see the “reproach of Egypt (captivity)” rolled away just as the stone was rolled away from the tomb of Jesus when He was resurrected. Light suddenly emerged out of darkness; both the darkness of captivity and the darkness of the tomb. Both events are “demarcation” moments that changed history by rolling away a stone.

Joshua 5:9-12 also speak of leaving a fort-year time of wilderness living, where the Israelites survived on daily manna for their provision rather than the fruits and harvest of the Promised Land. Suddenly manna was no longer needed and the Israelites enjoyed their first meal from the crops of Canaan.

This marked the end of the time of manna, stagnation, and wilderness survival; they were moving into the land of their inheritance. Though there were many enemies occupying their land, as they kept the Lord’s commands and instructions they would overthrow the enemies in order to possess and occupy their promise.

I truly believe that this is a picture of the time that we have now entered. We have crossed over and are having our hearts circumcised. The time of being idle has come to a close and the reproach of captivity is suddenly rolled away. We are getting our first tastes of the riches of Canaan.

The body of Christ is being asked to walk forward as one people; one family that follows all of the Lord’s commands and instructions. In doing this we will conquer enemies, tear down strongholds, and occupy lands of long-awaited promises.

The rewards and victories ahead are remarkable and yet we must be sober to the truth that the penalty for not following His ways and instructions will be costly. We must walk as one army, as one family, without jostling for position or moving according to the flesh. This is why it is imperative to allow the circumcision of our hearts to take place as we enter this new season. The old must pass away and we must all ascend the mountain of the Lord together to meet God face-to-face. There, we will receive wisdom and instructions of how to proceed while coming daily into intimacy and nurturing His presence.

“Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”” Exodus‬ ‭33:15-17‬ ‭

As we meet with God and follow His instructions, our enemies will be struck with fear as they see the miracles and victories that the Lord will do through His people.

I conclude with a number of Scripture verses that the Lord has highlighted to me for this time and season. I encourage you to read them, pray into them, and carry them with you in your heart and mind.

“Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’? Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.’” Ezekiel‬ ‭12:22-23‬ ‭

• “I am the LORD your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them;” Ezekiel‬ ‭20:19‬ ‭

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

“For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him— then the LORD will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand against you; the LORD your God will put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, just as He has said to you.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:22-25‬ ‭

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John‬ ‭1:5-9‬

Take time to meditate on these verses. His word is the lamp that lights the way of our paths ahead. Let us hold fast to His written and spoken words as we move forward to possess the land.

Move This Mountain

A week ago the Lord asked us to begin a crowdfunding campaign to support our oldest son, Corey and his family as they step out in faith to follow what the Lord is asking of them in this season.

On November 30th, Corey, his wife Brittany and their three small boys will move from New York to Oregon (Portland) in order to bring Corey’s media gift to serve the body of Christ. He is leaving a paid position in New York in order to serve in absolute faith.

As people began giving to see them get settled in Oregon we felt to pray for each of the donors to see the obstacles and mountains in their own lives removed as they sowed in to see out son’s family have a level path to cross over on.

We would like to invite you into this as well. The words, “Give and it shall be given to you…” ring true as we are watching mountains coming down for many through generous giving.

If you would like to sow into this campaign and their mountain being removed, go to:
