Let The Light In! Darkness Will Be Dispelled!

by Kathi Pelton

After nearly two months of constant travel my husband and I came home and immediately were faced with a very dark situation that a precious friend is facing. As we have been navigating our way through this grievous situation that is affecting so many, I could find myself becoming “distracted by the darkness.”

Last night as we prayed as a family for all involved I suddenly heard, “Be still and know that I am God.” In that moment I knew that we had done all that we could do and now it was time to stand and be still in the confident trust of the Lord. In our quiet surrender we felt peace and release come upon us. We had wept, interceded, reached out, ministered to those affected and now it was time to release it into the hands of the One whose name is Victory! We entered into the stillness of absolute trust and dependency.

Then I heard His voice invite me into His light. I saw a picture of me coming out from beneath a dark cloud into the unfiltered brightness and warmth of His light. Suddenly I felt the warmth of His light and love fill me and overcome the darkness that had loomed over the situation we’d been dealing with.

Yes, in this world there is so much darkness but there is a light that dispels all darkness. He is the Light of the World, the hope of all mankind, the peace that surpasses understanding and the One whose blood has paid the price for all sin and darkness. He is Jesus.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”” John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭

If you are facing darkness or if darkness has come to cloud your view; move into the Light! He is always there to remind you that the victory has already been purchased and assured to all those who will put their trust in Him. He is inviting you to come and soak in the Son. Let the light, warmth and love permeate your soul. Don’t stay in the shadows of darkness but come and let His light move you into hope and the absolute confidence of trust. He is saying to you too, “Be still and know that I am God.”

I hear this over individuals and I hear this over nations. Hong Kong…You are not alone and He will be exulted in the nations! Let His light fill you with hope and a new song; a song of deliverance. Let the sound of His faithfulness be heard throughout the nations.

Come and bask in the light of His love and grace. Come into the stillness of His agape love and confident hope. Cease striving and know that He is God!

God Says, “You’re About to Harvest The Crops From The Seeds You Have Previously Sown.”

by Kathi Pelton

Many of you have been sowing seeds for years; financial seeds, gospel seeds, prayer seeds, relational seeds and seeds of declarations from the Word of God. You have wondered if you would ever see the fruit or grain from those seeds come forth. I heard the Lord say that many are about to see a great harvest come forth from the seeds that you have previously sown.

My husband and I directed a house of prayer for many years with more hours of prayer and worship than either of us could possibly count. We traveled around the nations in obedience to God’s longing for the nations— spending countless dollars, we’ve moved thirty times and left friends and family to follow Him. We are not alone in this journey— many of you have sown, sacrificed and given all that you have on earth to follow Him. Although these things were not done for a personal reward but for the sake of Jesus receiving His full inheritance, I hear Him saying that many seeds will suddenly yield a great crop that you will get to eat from.

We had the honor of praying over a couple that has given the past sixteen years to the Lord as they directed a house of prayer. They are in the midst of transition (like so many others) and we saw all the prayers that had been prayed over the past sixteen years as seeds that went forth and they were now standing before a massive wheat field to go and harvest. As we prayed for them, our team heard the verses,

““The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:10-11‬ ‭

The winter season has watered your seed and now grain has grown and fruit has been produced. Prosperity is upon the seeds that you have sown. The winter months with storms have watered your seed. Watch now as you are about to step into the harvest fields from the seeds that you have sown; especially in prayer!

Isaiah 55 goes on to say this,

“You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”” Isaiah‬ ‭55:12-13‬ ‭

The harvest will honor the name of the Lord! You will live in peace and joy as you watch His Word prosper all around you. In the midst of great darkness there will be great joy for those who have put their trust in the Lord. You did not sow in vain! All that you’ve done for the Lord will bear fruit.

He Will Establish Your Steps!

by Kathi Pelton

One of my favorite verses is from Proverbs 16:9,

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

This is a promise to all His sons and daughters! In the midst of being those who merely “see in part” and then make our plans according to partial seeing and understanding; we are assured that the Lord will step in to establish our steps! This is such an incredible revelation of a truth that brings us both peace and rest from striving or anxious thoughts.

I have watched the Lord interrupt my plans with the establishment of His steps for my life so many times. I have learned to rest in the assurance that “if I get it wrong” that He will intervene and establish my steps according to His perfect will. We obey and make our plans according to the best of our hearing and understanding; then we can rest and rely upon Him to establish those steps.

I’ve shared the following story before but it’s worth repeating. Three years ago my son-in-law, Luke, called me to ask me to pray for him. He had some huge decisions to make that were causing him a lot of anxiety. He wanted to be a faithful son to God and husband to our daughter by making the right decisions. As I went to prayer I heard the Lord speak to me saying,

“Tell Luke that he cannot miss!”

To be honest, I didn’t believe I heard right! I know my Father’s voice but these words didn’t seem right. I pondered about all of the ways we can “miss God!” I prayed again and heard the exact same words. This happened three times. Finally, I said to the Lord,

“If this is You, I need it confirmed through Your Word!”

Immediately I heard the verse from Proverbs 16:9. Then He said,

“Kathi, when you commit your plans to Me, I promise to establish your steps. The ones who do this can’t miss!”

This was so freeing! It not only became a word of assurance for my son but for my life as well. He was able to make a decision based on what he felt was right in his heart and we have watched God establish his steps in the most profound ways since that time.

Today, my husband and I set off on another “walk by faith, not by sight” ministry journey (I’m writing this in a plane at 35,000 feet). This particular journey took a lot of planning and a lot of faith. When resistance came we sought the Lord and continued with our plans according to the understanding of our hearts and His promise to establish our steps. Even the provision of this journey was resisted but we heard, “Go forward and watch me establish your steps and the provision as you go.”

Yesterday, we miraculously had provision come in to begin the journey and then this morning we woke up at 3 a.m. to catch an early flight only to find that more provision had come forth from a “spiritual son”. Then, as we were boarding the plane more came through. It was as if our steps were splashing favor and blessing upon us as we walked forward. Isn’t our Father faithful!!

I share this with you to encourage you! We know that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy; therefore may our testimony prophesy over your plans and steps. As you commit your plans to Him, He will surely establish your steps. You can’t miss! Just as we stepped forward, not seeing what was needed but hearing to go forth (then within the first 24-hours we saw provision establish our steps), so the same will happen for you.

We have watched this happen for over twenty years now but it has been happening for God’s people from the days of Noah, Abraham and all those who committed their plans to the Lord.

He will establish your steps so do not fear making your plans. You will watch as divine redirections, interruptions and supernatural resources touch the path you walk on. Your steps will slash favor and blessing upon you as you step forth in the assurance of His faithfulness.

He is so, so good!

God is Repairing the Wall Around Your Life With His Faithfulness

by Kathi Pelton

This past Sunday I was taken into a vision where I saw a wall that protected each of God’s people from the thief (the enemy). This wall was built out of stones that declared His faithfulness. They were like colored stones (or precious stones) that represented the different aspects of His faithfulness and promises. It was a high wall that was fortified by the faith of the believer that it was placed there to protect and it was built upon the timeline of their lives.

As I looked out upon each of these amazing walls (each individual had their own wall), I began to notice places that were broken down and darkened. They were gaps where I saw that breaches had been created and the thief could enter in through. I asked the Lord what had created these gaps (or broken places) and immediately He showed me moments or seasons in these individuals lives where a hardship or trial had come and in great discouragement they aligned with lies that declared that “God was not faithful”. Whether through agreeing with doubt, despair, accusations against God’s character or words that compromised the truth of His faithfulness; that place in their wall had a gap and the colorful stones were knocked down and dark (blackened).

Then I heard Him speak these words,

“I am repairing the walls of my people’s lives so that the enemy can no longer breach it and rob them of my promise of abundant life. Tell them to declare My faithfulness and the attributes of My faithfulness over the timeline of their lives.”

I shared this with the people of our church this past Sunday and then I had them stand up and together we began to declare God’s faithfulness into the gaps and broken places in the wall of our lives (history and timeline). These declarations, along with repentance for agreeing with the enemy, were rebuilding the wall of His faithfulness and bringing back the color to these precious stones. The wall of His faithfulness that protected them from the thief (John 10:10) was being fortified so that they could live in abundant life.

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” John 10:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We all have had battles with doubt and unbelief, but if there have been times and seasons where you allowed words of agreement that declared something other than His absolute faithfulness then now is the time to renounce and repent of those agreements and to declare His faithfulness! Shout out the words of His faithfulness and character over the places of compromised truth that allowed gaps in the wall of your life that the enemy has been breaching.

• Over every agreement with doubt we declare, “I believe in Your faithfulness with unwavering confidence!”

• Over every agreement that blamed God for things we experienced, we repent and declare, “You are blameless!”

• Over every accusation that was spoken by our mouths or entertained in our hearts, that stood against God and His character; we renounce those words and nullify their power. We declare, “You are faithful and true, pure and holy, good and kind, abounding in perfect love!”

• Over every moment or season in our past that we have aligned with a compromise regarding the faithfulness of God; we repent and declare over those times, “You are and have always been faithful to me!”

We now evict the thief and his cohorts who have used these gaps in the walls of our lives to rob us of the fullness of the abundant life that God intended for us. We receive the grace and mercy that the cross has provided. We declare that our lives will testify of the faithfulness of our God and the world will see the manifestation of God’s faithfulness resting upon His Bride. Then they will know that HE IS LORD!

Declare it! “Faithful You are! Faithful, forever You will be!” Declare it daily, declare it in the storm, declare it in the battle, declare it in the victory. It is your testimony and your truth!

You Will Prosper and Abound

By Kathi Pelton

Each Friday I write a prayer and declaration for a ministry organization that we are a part of. Today, as I wrote the declaration, I felt to share it with you as well.

God is dealing with the opposition and resistance that has come against His people. He is giving you a “spirit of overcoming” as you stand firm in His Word as absolute truth. Put all doubt, fear and unbelief under your feet and declare the words below. Break the cycles of wavering between two opinions according to circumstances and stand firm and unwavering upon His truth and promises. Often the open doors that allows the “thief” to in come is a door of doubt. God is a god of abundance and we are being asked to close and lock the doors of doubt and wavering about His goodness.

Here is the prayer and declaration for you. Declare it everyday until you have overcome and until it repairs the gaps in wall around your life. It’s time to fortify the walls of truth that guard you.

Prayer and Declaration

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

“ I prophesy out of 2 Corinthians 9:8, declaring that God’s abundant blessings will manifest upon me and my family. I say with confident assurance that me, my family and my household will have all that we need at all times. We will lack no good thing and the work of the Kingdom will not be hindered or thwarted by the opposition that comes in the form of lack.

The Spirit is speak saying that He will prosper my “Yes!” I say yes to Him once again and I say “Yes and amen” to His promise to prosper my “yes.”

I break all agreements with thoughts, expectation and fears of lack, doubt and poverty. I enter into the confident faith and assurance that God will abundantly bless me and my household with all that we need in each season so that we abound in every good work.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

I come to you Father right now, in both prayer and petition, bringing my requests for financial provision and supernatural resources, so that we all abound in every good work. I thank you that the promised provision of abundant blessings in all that I need is being made manifest even now. I also bring my prayers and petitions on behalf of every Kingdom work being done in the body of Christ before you. Thank you that the work will prosper and abound; lacking nothing but prospering in response to every yes! You are good and forever faithful to keep your promise and to bless the work of our hands. Thank you Father for your Son, for making us heirs of salvation and for being our help in times of trouble. -Amen-

Now go forth in praise and thanksgiving, knowing that He is the God of more than enough. You will overcome the cycles of wavering, doubt and lack. You will walk and live in the abundant life promised to you in John 10:10!

Draw Near

By Kathi Pelton

I hear the Lord’s whispering to His Bride today saying, “Will you draw near to Me?”

Life pulls at us to give our time, energy and focus to everything but stillness. It truly is the greatest wrestle for people. Taking time daily to be still and draw near to God is immediately met with a battle of distraction in the mind and heart.

I often begin my “drawing near time” by praying out of Philippians 4:7,

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

His peace comes to guard my heart and mind from distraction so that I can draw near.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” James 4:8(a)

To draw near to someone takes intentionality. When I was a young mom in ministry, I had to set days aside to draw near to my children, to my husband and to my source of life, Jesus.

There was the constant “need of others” vying for my time and attention. It took time and a maturing process but I had to learn that I was not other’s “Savior” and that when I drew away from the crowds to draw near to God or my family, I was not neglecting or abandoning the call of God upon my life or my commitment to others.

There were times that I faced criticism and judgements when I drew back but even Jesus knew when to leave the crowds to draw near to His Father or to His family (the disciples).

A number of months ago I heard the Lord calling me to “come away with Him to draw near to Him for an extended time.” It was at a time that my entire family was leaving to go to an important family event in another state. I wrestled with the invitation to “draw near” because I knew that this time with our extended family was a once in a lifetime experience. But the Spirit was persistent and continued to whisper an invitation to “stay behind and draw near to Him.”

Finally, I spoke with my family and they quickly blessed me to stay behind. When they drove away I went directly to my bedroom with my Bible and my journal to lay down on the floor to draw near to God.

Over the next three days God drew near to me in deep, constant intimacy. As I accepted His invitation to draw near to Him, He drew near to me with profound presence, amazing affections, deep intercession, refreshing and renewal. This time truly reset my life and my intimacy with Him.

The same is true with my husband and children. I tend to be very “single focused” and yet my life is always juggling a hundred different things. When I am doing a task it usually gets all of my attention and focus. This can be a good trait but for my family, who also needs my attention, it can be challenging. My kids (who are all young adults now) have taken to calling me by my full name (rather than Mom) when they can’t get my attention. When I hear the name, “Kathleen” by one of my kids it somehow jolts me out of my ultra focused state and back onto them.

I never want Jesus to have to work hard to get my attention off the work of the Kingdom and back onto the King.

Intimacy is forged as we get still and draw near. I am a very early riser because it is in the quiet of the dawn that I draw near to Him. Yet even then I must be intentional to not allow distractions to draw my mind and heart away.

“…fixing our attention on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of the faith, who, in view of the joy set before him, endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

We must take time to fix our attention on Jesus. We are being invited to draw near and give our undivided attention and affections to the One who gave His all for us.

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

Colossians 3:1-3

It is vital to set our minds upon Jesus and intentionally devote time to drawing near to Him. It is then that you will find that He draws near to you in ways that sustain you, renew you, refresh you and draw you into abundant living.

He’s whispering an invitation to you, “Will you draw near to Me today?”

As you say yes, know that He will draw near to you!

Testimony Time! “God Will Order Your Steps”

by Kathi Pelton

The other day I was walking around a “beauty/make-up” store with my daughter. As she shopped I wandered around separately. As I wandered, I spotted a lady standing at the counter of their hair salon and immediately had the thought, “Ask her about their pricing.”

Though I needed my hair done, that surely wasn’t in my current budget or in my plans to do. Plus, I was happy with the hair dresser that I currently have. But I was compelled to ask the prices and for reasons unbeknown to me, I found myself making an appointment to have my hair done by her. I walked away perplexed and wondering why in the world I did that! I didn’t even tell my daughter because I was sure that I’d cancel it.

The appointment was two days away and in those two days numerous unexpected things happened that cost hundreds of dollars (including my husband dropping his contact lens only to step on it…costing $300!). I concluded that I for sure would cancel the hair appointment because now it really wasn’t in the budget! But, every time I went to cancel it I would hesitate and felt to hold off a bit longer.

Finally, yesterday was the day for the appointment. I had about 101 reasons to cancel it! They were all legitimate and good reasons. But I felt a nudge to keep moving forward on it…so I went.

Ten minutes after sitting down in the chair for the appointment the Lord showed up. This hair dresser had been raised as a Jehovah Witness and raised her children in the same religion. But something deep within her was crying out for a relationship with God and not mere religion. After her marriage had fallen apart she began to ask questions about if Jesus was truly God or merely a “god” as taught in her religious organization. She went on a deep journey to seek out truth and the true God. She was longing to walk with someone who had the answers that she was seeking.

Then God had me sit down in her chair to get my hair done. For the next three hours what we shared went so deep. While she worked on my hair she kept a tissue box nearby as the tears poured down her face. It was a divine appointment…not because I had to have my hair done but because the God of mercy and grace heard the cry of this woman who was longing desperately for Him. She found who her heart was longing for! We will now begin meeting together regularly.

The reason that I’m sharing this testimony is to remind you to pay attention to those seemingly “random” thoughts that you have that go against your plans but order your steps into divine appointments. I hadn’t planned to go to that store with my daughter that day but at the last minute decided to go just to be with her. I hadn’t planned to make a hair appointment, especially from a stranger and at a place that I knew nothing about. I hadn’t planned to keep this “random” appointment because it made no sense financially (especially with two days of non-stop unexpected large expenses coming upon us)…but my feet were compelled to walk out steps that I had not planned.

If I had given into “reason” or my thoughts I would have missed this and though God would have found another way to reach her, I wouldn’t have had the honor of being the one to watch her encounter the love of God and hear His truth.

I am always so grateful for those who obeyed the Lord when they shared the love of God with me when I first came to know Him. I’m sure that “I” was not a part of their plans! But, as believers, we commit our plans to the Lord and ask Him to order our steps. And…He does! We must be willing to follow that nudge in directions we hadn’t planned and as we do we end up right where He needs us to be.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9

You may be the answer to someone else’s prayers. Your steps may not make practical sense of even financial sense but listen to that still small voice that judges you to “just keep walking” and watch what He will do.

Divine appointments await you so make your plans but yield the ordering of His steps!

God Is For You!!

May 23.2019– Kathi Pelton

• When everything seems against you… “I am for you.”

• When the odds are stacked against you… “I will tip the scales in your favor.”

• When you feel alone and without help… “I am with you to help you.”

• When you have no answers… “I will give you wisdom & miracles.”

• When you cannot find your way… “I will carry you and comfort you.”

• When you feel too weak to carry on… “I will be the strength that you need.”

• When you face the impossible… “Remember—I make all things possible!”

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans‬ ‭8:28-31‬ ‭

Faith, Finances and Fruitfulness

by Kathi Pelton

Today I was reminded of the story in John 6 of the boy who offered his lunch (loaves and fish) to the Lord. It is such a beautiful example of what God can do with our offering.

“‘There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many? Jesus said, ‘Have the people sit down.’ Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, ‘Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost. ‘ So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, ‘This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!’” John‬ ‭6:9-14‬ ‭

The offerings that we bring often feel insignificant compared to the great need that is before us. But when all that we have (both small and large) is placed into the Lord’s hands, He blesses it and multiplied it to feed the multitudes. Not only that—there is always more than enough with leftovers that exceed the original offering. In this story the boy who offered his lunch not only still ate and was “filled” but I believe that this increase was counted to his credit! Not only were the people’s hunger satisfied but the miracle of multiplication revealed Jesus to the masses. They believed!

This seemingly small act of faith on the part of this boy brought increased fruitfulness not only for him but for the multitudes. It is still revealing Jesus today and increasing the faith of those who merely have “a lunch” to offer.

My husband and I have been in full-time ministry for many years. The majority of our time in ministry we have been supported by those who the Lord prompted to support us financially. On an emotional level this was a hard adjustment for us when we started on that path. We had been used to being the ones who supported others and suddenly needed to be supported. When God called us to live in another country to oversee a house of prayer, we had to “go” and trust that the Lord would bring generous givers to surround our lives as we gave our “yes” to His call. We quickly had to learn absolute trust and thanksgiving in times of plenty and times of hunger.

Throughout the years of living upon the support of others (amazing and beautiful people!), we had to come to terms with the truth that Paul speaks of in Philippians 4 regarding his own ministry and support, when he writes, “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.”

Our hearts, like Paul’s, have always been to give our all and give our “yes” to all that the Lord asks of us (whether giving or going). Though there are times of great struggle and sacrifice, we know that He is worthy of it all. We have come to understand through these verses in Philippians 4 that the burden or weight that we often felt as people supported us was wrong thinking. Let’s look at what Paul says about those who supported him and the work he was doing,

“Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians‬ ‭4:14-20‬ ‭

God equally credits the fruitfulness of Paul’s ministry to those who stood in the place of support. Although Paul was the mouthpiece (and he was credited for that), those who offered financial support gave “an acceptable and pleasing offering to the Lord” and it was credited to them for all the fruit that came forth.

It is a partnership! One is not greater than the other because one cannot exist without the other. I live in the confident assurance that those who give are benefiting from the fruitfulness that comes from the work of those they give to. In light of this truth we all can focus on the work before us and pray for the increase of Kingdom fruitfulness; being confident that those hard working supporters are being blessed equally as much. The reward for the one who goes and the one who gives is the same!

I am sharing this because there is so much misunderstanding about this partnership and about the role of those who give and those who go. Often people hold back because they feel as though they give with no return. Or they give only a small measure because they feel as though all the fruit goes to those who are the mouthpiece or instrument of “going.” But according to Paul, he is able to “seek the fruit that was increased because of those who gave!” There must be those who plant the seed and those who water the seed. God sees both with equal importance, impact. and honor.

The one that “goes” and the one that “gives” are rewarded the same and credited for the increase of fruitfulness. Both take a posture of faith and live by faith even in two different roles.

I pray that this understanding takes the pressure off those who go and adds a blessing upon those that give. I have been in both roles; those who have given and those who have gone, and one was not above the other or more honorable than the other. No matter what role the Lord has called you to stand in; the increase of fruitfulness is credited to you. It is a pleasing sacrifice that will bring the increase of fruitfulness upon your life as well.

You Will Tremble As You See The Goodness Of The Lord Come Upon The Desolate Places

by Kathi Pelton

When we think of trembling we usually think of fear or a cold chill. It is rarely spoken in the context of something good. But there is a trembling that happens in moments of awe and wonder. It catches you off guard causing you to collapse in joyful tears under the weight of such goodness.

We see this kind of trembling when a young child sees their daddy for the first time after a long military tour or when two lovers who have been separated by a great distance are finally able to embrace. We see this when a mother holds her newborn baby or the first time that the daughter that my husband and I fought to adopt was finally placed in our arms. It is a trembling that comes from the awe of a long awaited desire fulfilled.

“And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them. They shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:9‬ ‭

Though this verse is speaking of the restoration of Jerusalem; as I awoke this morning the Lord gave it to me for His Bride…you! The Lord is about to show you His faithfulness in such a way that it will leave you trembling in awe. The display and manifestation of His goodness and prosperity upon your life will also cause your enemies to fear and tremble as they see all the plans they sent against you crumble before the goodness of God.

Though you’ve felt like a barren and desolate city, soon you will watch as the faithful goodness of the Lord overtakes all that stood against you; causing you to prosper with shouts of great joy! This will be the sound that comes forth from your life,

“…the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord: ‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!’ For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:11‬ ‭

This was His promise for the holy city of Jerusalem and it is His promise over you. He is good and He is your Restorer. Now is the time to shout His goodness over your desolate area! Shout it over the barren wombs, bad reports and those who are sick. Shout it over every waste place. Shout to that place of dread in the pit of your stomach. Fill your lack with shouts of, “The Lord is good!”

His promises are true and they are sure! Therefore, you can begin to release the voice of gladness be heard even now. The enemy has been shouting with a voice of dread, hopelessness and accusation for far too long. His voice comes and sucks the air out of the room and out of your lungs because it is the voice of lies and darkness. Break all agreements with that voice because it only comes to kill, steal and destroy.

It is time to raise the voice of the redeemed. Let the sound of those who have been given abundant life go into the atmosphere and into the land. Let us shout,

“Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Watch as a trembling of awe and wonder returns to His Church! This tremble will cause mountains to fall and desolate places to blossom with goodness and prosperity.
