Watch As Goodness and Mercy Are Poured Over Your Life

Kathi Pelton

Today the Spirit of the Lord showed me a picture of a liquid substance being poured over the heads of His sons and daughters. As it was being poured great joy was coming upon them. Then I heard the words from Psalm 23:6(a)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”

The liquid substance was His goodness and mercy being poured out in great abundance over our lives!

The verse the proceeds this one (verse 5) says,

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23:5‬ ‭

This is a “cup running over time”. You will see and experience His goodness and His mercy being poured over your life and you will feast upon the fruits of what He has done for you!

You will shout, “Come and see what the Lord has done, the amazing things he has done on the earth.” Psalm 46:8

Not only will He display His goodness and mercy in the lives of His people but the Lord will show Himself as “God of the Nations” in the days ahead. Though there will be shakings and clashes within nations, the Lord will subdued enemies and bare His mighty arm of power to do what only He can do.

We will be witnesses of the sovereignty of God in the days ahead. Posture yourself in that truth and apply your faith to His sovereign ability to do what no man can do; for you and for nations. Look beyond the natural and see how the arm of the Lord is reaching into the earthly impossibles to show His goodness and mercy.

Look up and receive the outpouring of goodness and mercy. Let the joy of this gift revive you and fill you into new life. Allow your cup of thankfulness to overflow as He causes your cup to overflow with favor and blessings.

Christmas Eve: The Wonder!

Christmas 🎄 Eve is my favorite day!

I love the wonder and excitement in the face of children, the carefully chosen and colorfully wrapped gifts nestled under the tree, the stockings hung and filled with little treasures, the Christmas story being read by fathers, the smell of freshly baked cookies coming from kitchens, new Christmas pajamas being worn and little ones being cuddled and the glow of Christmas lights that bring peace and joy to all who see them.

May this day be all of those things and more for you and your family. Most of all…may the lasting joy of the Savior that was born to us be what makes this Christmas one to be treasured and cherished throughout the years to come. Love came down and He still brings wonder, excitement, gifts, treasures, warmth, embrace, light, joy and peace to all who let Him in.

Merry Christmas Eve from the Pelton family!

God Is Singing Over You

Kathi Pelton

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night with one line from the song “Reckless Love” repeating again and again in my mind,

“Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me- You have been so, so good to me”

As I heard these words I was taken in the spirit to the place of my infancy and I saw God singing over me. He was singing of His love for me, His desire for me, His plans for me. Though I knew nothing of Him still He was singing over me. Then I was taken to a time before I asked Him into my life and He was there once again, singing over me; singing intercession and singing the words of how He saw me.

Then I heard the words, “I waited for you to cue the music.” As these words were spoken I saw the moment that I surrendered my life to Him as the cue or “queue” to begin to manifest in my life all the words that He had sung over me before I had ever spoken a word to Him. To cue the music is to signal it to begin but to “queue” the music is to “line up” the music, such as we do when we create a playlist on our phones (that is to queue up the music). When I surrendered to Jesus I “queued up” or lined up with the truth of His songs over my life.

Each moment of surrender to His will, His Word, His desires queues the songs that He sings over my life…songs of deliverance— songs of desire— songs of healing— songs of promise— songs of unfailing love. It becomes my life’s playlist and the songs become my reality.

I often awake with songs playing in my mind that I know the Spirit has placed there but I truly never looked at it as “God singing over me.” I more thought of it as a message or a revelation that needed to be unpacked. But He sings over me and He sings over you. Before you ever spoke a word to Him He was singing over you. Your “yes” queues the music to become your story and your reality. Your surrender becomes the landing strip for the songs He sings over you to come to fruition.

The first words I ever heard God say to me (and they were sung) were the words, “I see no stain upon you.” I was 16 years old and didn’t know God and my life was truly “stained by the world” and by an overwhelming sense of worthlessness— I was drunk and alone but the words stopped me in my tracks and breathed hope into my young and broken heart, “I see no stain upon you.” The words stayed with me for two years when finally my brokenness yielded to my surrender and I queued the music to become my reality.

God waits for your cue and then your queue, all the while He continues to sing over you. His song is the invitation and your surrender is the cue to the music to begin to become your reality. Ask Him to open your ears to the words of the songs He sings over you— then respond. Just maybe those songs that get stuck in your head are interpreting the song that He is singing over you?

I encourage you to “cue the music.” and to “queue to music.”

A Word for Moms

Kathi Pelton

Today we are driving a long 800 miles to go home after a week with our oldest daughter and youngest son who live in California. Whenever I leave my kids my mom’s heart is torn. I look into their eyes and I know intimately every look, every longing, every need and fear. When we say good-bye we linger in the embrace longer than we ought to and my heart stays in the embrace long after we physically separate.

As a mom I have had to learn an important truth; our Heavenly Father loves them even more than I do. He knows their looks, longings, needs, fears and thoughts even more intimately than I do. Though that’s hard to believe, it remains true. Mom’s often struggle with the compulsion to carry their kids (young or grown) in a way that can quickly turn into anxiety or worry. They are carried with us every where we go no matter their age.

The truth is that my moments of worry have never helped my kids! I have learned throughout the years to daily bring them before the throne of grace and lay them down in the arms of the One who loves them most. The greatest gift that I can give my children is to daily surrender and dedicate them to the absolute faithfulness of God. Though there are days that tears of intercession pour; as I join my heart with the Lord’s regarding them. But when I arise from the place of prayer I am confident of His plans and protection over them. They are then carried in my heart by hope and faith in something and someone greater than me.

If you are carrying your children today in a way that is weighing you down and causing you anxiety then take them to the arms of Jesus. He will take your burden, your concerns and everything that they need into the infinite care of His perfect love. He knows the way that they are to go and He will lead them. He will comfort them and His faithfulness will be proven true in their lives.

In the place of prayer we do our best “mothering”. As we partner with the One who loves them most we become a bridge that they can cross over into the heart of God. In prayer and partnership with God we see fears turn into confident assurance and anxiety turn into peace as we nurture them with a heart that surrenders them to a greater love than our own.

The greatest affect that you will have in your children’s lives will happen in prayer. When they are nearby, hold them close but when you separate (whether to send them off to school or because they have grown into adults) bring them before God and surrender them to His love and care. He is more than enough for all that they need.

Time to Get Wonderfully Wrecked

Kathi Pelton

Do you know how very much your Heavenly Father loves you? It would wonderfully wreck you if you understood how much. So, I pray for you to be wrecked in the most wonderful and glorious way today…wrecked by the revelation and experience of His love for you.

Last night I sat alone with Him and just let His love hold me, wash over me and wreck me in the most wonderful way. His love toward me even exceeded my longings and love for my own children (which seem immeasurable) and at the same time fully encompasses my love for them. There was no separation; His love permeated all that I love. I didn’t have to do anything or say anything…I merely had to stop long enough to let Him be my “Daddy”.

I became absolutely aware that He didn’t care about my flaws or my imperfections; He just adored me for who I am. He wanted me to know how much He loved me and how safe it is to be vulnerable with Him.

That is how He feels about you…He adores you! He desires to draw you into the safety of His care, the bounty of His provisions, the beauty of the garden of His never failing love.

There are moments where God just wants you to receive. He doesn’t want you to do anything but allow Him to be your father. He wants to relieve you from the weights that you’ve been carrying that can begin to produce works, performance and put heavy burdens upon you. His grace and love will draw you back into the place of sonship; relieving you from the old and all too familiar place where orphans fend for themselves and “work” for acceptance.

We were created for dependency upon someone bigger and stronger than we are. We are sons and daughters…no longer orphans or those who have been forsaken. We are loved beyond measure and cherished beyond imagination.

May you be wonderfully wrecked by His love today. May your offering today be to receive; let Him love you, let Him wreck you and let Him adore you in the way that He longs to do.

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1)

The Restoration of Fathers and Sons…and Daughters!

Kathi Pelton

Our Father God loves restoration. He loves to heal hearts and heal broken relationships; He loves His sons and daughters.

Today as I was spending time with my precious Heavenly Father, I saw a vision of fathers and sons who had experienced turbulent and broken relationships suddenly weeping in one another’s arms. The fathers’ eyes were open to see the hearts of their sons and the sons’ eyes were open to see the hearts of their fathers. In that moment the anger, hatred, and rage melted the hardened places, causing them to forgive and start anew. The fathers called out, “My son!” And the sons responded, “My Dad!”

Then I saw God pick up broken daughters who had been shattered deep within, and He held them in His lap. As He held them closely, their hearts that carried deep wounds from the men who were supposed to be “daddy” began to heal. The pain of abandonment and the pain of being raised by men who didn’t understand the Father’s love for themselves was touched by the perfect love of the heavenly Father. Then as these daughters were made whole I saw the Father hold their “daddies.” He held them until they realized that it was safe to love again. His arms once again melted the selfishness and hardened hearts, and the first thing these men did was run to their daughters to pick them up and hold them in their laps.

I saw this happening in many lives, families, and cultures that are not given to expressions of such tender love between fathers and sons or fathers and daughters. This healing that will restore families will spark healing that goes far beyond homes and individual families. It will touch the church and then the world.

For those whose fathers have long passed from this world, or whose fathers do not respond to this, God will raise up fathers to stand in their place; and you will understand that God is your father, and He will heal the deepest wounds that have caused your very identity to be impacted. He will call out to you, “My son!” or “My daughter!” and you will call back, “My Daddy!”

He will call you by your true name and hold you. He will not withhold anything from you but He will give you all that belongs to Him.

“He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.” Malachi 4:6

This restoration will heal lands! As fathers and their children have their hearts turned back to one another it brings a blessing even upon the land.

The move of God that is coming will restore the hearts of the fathers! God is about to move upon fathers so that their hearts are made whole and they will be turned back to their sons and daughters. Many prodigals will return to the family of God as their fathers weep before them and repent for withholding their love, their affections, and their time from them.

There are many mothers in the Kingdom of God that are carrying this longing of the Father in their spiritual wombs. It is nearing the time to birth this into the tangible realm and see it come forth with breath and life. How we long to see the heart of the fathers turned to their children and the children’s hearts turned back to their fathers.

It’s time to push and see this birthed. Moms are needed now to once again give birth; and this time you are birthing both fathers and sons and fathers and daughters.

He Gives Rest to the Weary

Kathi Pelton

As I sat down to pray and write today, Papa God poured His deep compassion over me for His sons and daughters who are battle-weary. The compassion that flowed in me felt like strong arms reaching out to hold and lift up the weary ones. As this embrace from Papa God enveloped me for the “weary ones” I heard the words from Matthew 11:28-30:

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”

Allow all of the weariness, the heaviness, and the pain to fall at His feet as you fall into His outstretched arms. He will take the burden that is too heavy for you to carry. As Papa holds you, Jesus’ light burden comes upon you to comfort you and to give you rest.

Do not worry about what is ahead or what lies behind because He is before you and behind you! He is surrounding you with His love and kindness. He is blanketing you with warmth and protection. His angels have been set on guard around you to minister to you and to battle for you.

Your Daddy loves you so very much. His goodness and tenderness is with you, right where you are today. He is the lifter of your head.

“So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain. I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. Arise, O Lord! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked! Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. ” Psalms‬ ‭3:2-8‬ ‭

He Rescues and Saves

Kathi Pelton

During our Easter Sunday worship service, a stanza from one of the songs released healing and hope throughout the room. The words were,

“Shout it out and lift up one voice in worship

Sing it out until all the earth can hear it

Jesus is alive and He saves, He rescues and saves” (From “You Have Won Me” Bethel Music)

Each time we sang out the words, “He rescues and saves” I could feel a rush of love and healing flow. It would wash over us and bring resurrection life.

He wants you to know that He rescues and saves! He heals and delivers. He loves with a love that will never fail and never end. I release upon you the rush of healing love that we experienced yesterday as we sung out these words. He is alive and He rescues and saves.

Sound carries beyond the time and space where it was first released so we know that the sound released in our service yesterday has gone forth and continues to heal. Love has a sound and all of its qualities and characteristics go forth without end whenever it is released. This is a time to let the sound of our Bridegroom go forth loud and clear. Let’s fill the air with the words, “Jesus is alive and He rescues and saves.”

Sing it over your life, your family and your city! There is no sweeter sound!

Notes From Daddy…

Today I am beginning a weekly post called, “Notes From Daddy”.

They will be short love notes from your Heavenly Father to you. They will come each Tuesday so be watching for them.

March 27th’s “Note From Daddy”:

“I am all that you need for all that you are facing. I will order and establish every step ahead I will give you the wisdom that you need for the decisions that are before you. Trust me; I am good and I will not fail you. I have sent help and answers for the prayers that you have prayed in faith. I have sent angelic help, I am making a way where there appears that there is no way, and I am doing for you what you cannot do for yourself. I have placed My favor upon My faithful ones, upon My sons and daughters. As you remain in Me and yield to My ways, you will stand in awe of what I will do for you. You will experience the manifestation of the ‘more than you can ask or imagine’ in your life. Remember, seek first My kingdom and My righteousness and all that you need will be added to you. I Am your good Father and My goodness will rest upon your life.”

Do Not Be Afraid!

Kathi Pelton

This world offers many opportunities to be afraid. Whether it’s financial demands, health challenges, relational conflicts, or unexpected losses; fear jumps at every opportunity!

For the believer, there is a continual invitation to come out of fear and into a place takes us beyond our fears and into supernatural peace.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

The world offers temporary or momentary peace based on circumstances, but God offers us a peace that is founded in His never-changing faithfulness. It is a peace that comes to those who have placed their lives, their trust, and their security in the One who will never leave and never forsake them. It is not dependent on circumstances because even in death His faithfulness remains sure.

God is inviting you to come out of the grip of fear and into the grip of grace. He is your refuge and help, your hiding place in the day of trouble.

“You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:7

God sings over you “songs of deliverance.” His words and songs release the power to set you free from fear and the enemy’s plans to bring you harm. You can hide yourself in the cleft of the Rock (Exodus 33:22) and enjoy the peace that surpasses your understanding and surpasses circumstances that provoke fear.

Your soul is safe when it is hidden in Christ. As you place all of your thoughts and emotions into the trustworthy arms of Jesus there is peace that carries you through the storms of life and a Voice that speaks to the winds and waves,

“Peace Be still.”

Yesterday a friend was talking to a group of leaders and made this statement regarding the gift that God placed in us called, “emotions”. He said,

“Emotions are a wonderful tool but a terrible master.”

Anything that is “master” over your life, other than Christ, will become destructive. Emotions are such a beautiful gift from the Lord. They cause you to feel joy, compassion, and love. They also cause you to feel pain and anger. But those emotions do not have to be a master over your life (your soul) or they will steal the place of peace.

“For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.” Psalm 27:5

Bring all of “you” into the tabernacle of Christ. Bring your joy and your pain, your dreams and your fears, your victories and your defeats…bring it all and He will lift you up upon the unshakable Rock. He will sing over you songs of deliverance. He will heal your soul wounds and mend your brokenness. He will grant you access to the bounty of heaven and provide all that you lack. He will replace fear with peace and give you joy for your sorrows.

The Bible says the words, “Fear not” 365 times. That is one time for every day of the year. His mercies are new every morning, therefore you have no reason to fear.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Do not be afraid!

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭
