Time to Get Wonderfully Wrecked

Kathi Pelton

Do you know how very much your Heavenly Father loves you? It would wonderfully wreck you if you understood how much. So, I pray for you to be wrecked in the most wonderful and glorious way today…wrecked by the revelation and experience of His love for you.

Last night I sat alone with Him and just let His love hold me, wash over me and wreck me in the most wonderful way. His love toward me even exceeded my longings and love for my own children (which seem immeasurable) and at the same time fully encompasses my love for them. There was no separation; His love permeated all that I love. I didn’t have to do anything or say anything…I merely had to stop long enough to let Him be my “Daddy”.

I became absolutely aware that He didn’t care about my flaws or my imperfections; He just adored me for who I am. He wanted me to know how much He loved me and how safe it is to be vulnerable with Him.

That is how He feels about you…He adores you! He desires to draw you into the safety of His care, the bounty of His provisions, the beauty of the garden of His never failing love.

There are moments where God just wants you to receive. He doesn’t want you to do anything but allow Him to be your father. He wants to relieve you from the weights that you’ve been carrying that can begin to produce works, performance and put heavy burdens upon you. His grace and love will draw you back into the place of sonship; relieving you from the old and all too familiar place where orphans fend for themselves and “work” for acceptance.

We were created for dependency upon someone bigger and stronger than we are. We are sons and daughters…no longer orphans or those who have been forsaken. We are loved beyond measure and cherished beyond imagination.

May you be wonderfully wrecked by His love today. May your offering today be to receive; let Him love you, let Him wreck you and let Him adore you in the way that He longs to do.

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1)
