God Is Restoring Our Nation

By Kathi Pelton

On October 28th, 1886 the Statue of Liberty was dedicated and unveiled by President Grover Cleveland in the New York harbor. Today marks 134 years since this occurred. For the past five years the Lord has prompted me to look up the psalm that goes with the amount of years since that day.

Here are the words from Psalm 134,

“Oh, praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, you who serve at night in the house of the Lord. Lift your hands toward the sanctuary, and praise the Lord. May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.” Psalms‬ ‭134:1-3‬ ‭

The Spirit said to me,

“I have heard the day and night prayers coming forth from the hearts and mouths of My people throughout America. I have seen your hands raised in both surrender and worship. Today I command this blessing over you, ‘America, receive your jubilee, receive your mercy and receive your blessing from heaven. I am your God and you are My people. I will shed My light on you.’”

God has forgiven our sins, both our historic sins and the sins of the present time. He has seen and heard those who have stood in the gap for the sins of our nation and He is declaring redemption. Mercy is falling upon us!

On the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty is a verse from a sonnet by Emma Lazarus that says,

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

The last name of the author of this sonnet is prophetic in nature as the Lord is calling us to life; awakening the heart of our nation to beat again with God’s original intent for our nation. Just as He called out, “Lazarus, come forth.” He is calling out, “America, come forth.”

Recently some national leaders gathered in the ACPR (American Center of Prayer and Revival) in Washington DC for a global trumpet call where the nations blessed and prayed for America. Many of these events have been taking place throughout the past months and it is as though the nations that once stood against us have now come to our aid and are giving us CPR. They are breathing life into our lungs and putting their hands on our hearts to cause it to beat once again— to be resurrected!

May our heart now beat again. I keep having revelations of a golden lamp being handed to the church and the last line on the pedestal of where she stands says,

“…I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

May we lift our lamp of the light of the Lord up and welcome the King of Glory into our nation. May we take up the cause of the poor and make our land a resting place for the Lord and all that He carries upon His heart.

“Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory.” Psalm‬ ‭24:7-10‬

On this day, October 28th, 2020 we dedicate our nation to be a light and lamp unto the nations and to be a resting place for the King of Glory. We welcome You, King of Glory, into the gateways of our nation. We lift up our heads to welcome you. We bow before you in honor and reverence. We declare that we will be like Lazarus— we will live again and reveal the glory of the Lord. Our heart will beat again and we will carry the lamp of first love.

May we make the name of the Lord great again in America!
