In Isaiah 56:7, the Lord declares that His house will be “a house of prayer for all nations,” and tells us that He will extend the invitation to all people of the earth to come to His temple and worship Him, finding joy in prayer. Near the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus quoted part of this verse as He cleansed the temple of money changers. Clearly, God’s intention is that every individual in every nation would pray and worship Him.

Jesus was a man of continual prayer—a living embodiment of the House of Prayer, and as His Body, we are to follow His example, both corporately and individually. Believers are temples of the Holy Spirit: “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). When even two or three assemble together, He is in our midst (Matthew 18:20) and we are the corporate expression of prayer: “…you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5).

Many believers in this hour feel a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit, a realization that He is calling for increased prayer and worship throughout the Body of Christ. Many have responded and many more long to respond, but often we feel unsure how to accomplish the urgency we sense. How can we connect with other believers who sense the same call? Is there a way to gain an expanded vision of intercession throughout our nation?

The HOME House of Prayer Network exists to meet this need, as an initiative established to cover North America in prayer. We specifically seek to:

  • Facilitate the establishment of new home prayer groups
  • Establish relationships between new and existing home prayer meetings throughout the U.S. and Canada.
  • Equip and encourage home prayer groups through teaching and regular interactive training, both on-site and remotely
  • Honor the prayer of Jesus in John 17 for unity in His people.
  • Provide ongoing insight and discernment, so that we may all pray with increased clarity and “hit the mark” in our intercession

Just as the early church lived in profound unity as family, we are in a season where, with great compassion and desire, the Father is calling and drawing His family together in a fresh way. The Lord is honored when we unite in love for Him and for each other, seeking His face and humbling ourselves in obedience.

Home prayer groups generally meet one day or evening per week, to worship and pray for our cities, regions, and nation. The HOME House of Prayer Network exists to facilitate believers who long to pray with greater fervency and impact, as they are able to worship and intercede heart to heart with one another in small settings, while also connecting their faith and wisdom with a much larger network of like-minded intercessory gatherings.

Our goal is to have at least one prayer group meeting in each U.S. state and Canadian province and territory every day of the week. This call to prayer enables cities and regions to be covered by their own citizens in prayer. The prevailing culture of this present age—the pervasive mind-sets and beliefs of our society—can seem overwhelming when we feel there are only a few of us praying, but when we realize we are joined together as one Body under the headship of our great King, our faith increases and we actually see change manifested in our surroundings. We find that our prayers provide support and blessing and encouragement for the good of our communities and the churches ministering within them.

We would be honored to have you join with us. Together, we can bless the heart of our great King, and honor His sacrifice by giving Him the glory He is due.
