As I waited upon the Lord this morning I heard the Father’s tender voice speak the words from Luke 12:32,
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
In the verses that preceded this one, we are encouraged not to worry. Jesus speaks about the birds of the air being fed by God and the lilies of the fields—which are here today and gone tomorrow—being clothed in beauty. His counsel and wisdom for “His little flock” is this,
“But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.” Luke 12:31
The demons of dread come to whisper another message in your ear. They tell you that you must “figure it out;” they get you to focus on the details of how you are going to make ends meet, and they pull your attention from the kingdom of God to the things of earth. They stir up worry and strife to get you consumed with matters that God has promised He will take care of. This is those demons’ full time job!
The counsel of God frees you from these consuming thoughts that steal your peace and joy. His counsel says to seek first the kingdom of God and EVERYTHING else will be added to you.
Fear is the foundation of all worry and dread but faith is the foundation of peace and joy.
The Spirit of the Lord is breaking you free from the fear that leads you into dread, worry, anxiety, and consuming thoughts that produce striving. He will enable you to refocus your life on the kingdom of God.
“For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14:17
It is time for God to remove the foothold of fear that the enemy has had in your life. Ask Holy Spirit to close every door of access that the enemy has had to torment you with consuming thoughts that are founded in fear. Then ask Him to realign those places in His Kingdom that will bring peace and joy.
Fear not little flock! It is His GOOD PLEASURE to give you His Kingdom.
