I saw a vision this morning of people in tight spaces and tight living quarters. There were boxes marked “dreams” all around them but there was no room to unpack them. They had been living in this “tight” space for quite some time. I knew that there had been divine purpose within the confined place and that the purpose was to draw near to the One who would give them wings to fly.
This vision reminded me of a when a caterpillar is in the process of its metamorphosis (transformation) into a butterfly. Tremendous change is happening within the tight and confined place. Wings are being fully developed and a new identity is coming forth that prepares it for new heights and a new way of living and moving.
Many of God’s people have been in what feels like a confined space (place) but He wants you to know that you have been enveloped in His arms and embrace during this time and it is transforming you. The boxes of dreams around you are not to be viewed as “hope deferred” but rather as “what is about to be unpacked”. He is such a good Father and will never let you go forth unprepared. Proper time to develop spiritually, transform and mature is necessary for you to live in the dreams, desires and plans that He has for you. His timing is perfect.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
As you draw near to Him and allow the growth to happen in this tight space then you will be transformed and made ready to emerge from this cocoon. This has not been punishment or a result of Him withholding blessings but it has been “love made manifest” within the tight embrace of your loving Father.
Get ready for expansion! Very soon you will be able to spread your wings. You will have room to see your dreams unpacked. Because of this time of developing intimacy with God, the dreams will not become idols or replace His rightful place in your life. They will be kept pure and will become more than you can ask or ever have imagined (Ephesians 3:20) because you drew near to God during this time.
God is reordering priorities and removing anything that has kept Him from being your greatest reason for living. As you’ve learned to praise in the small space it creating an expansion which will bring forth (birth) the “transformed you”. The awareness of Jesus being your greatest prize and reward is being developed in this time. It is the greatest gift!
Rest in this time of embrace and know that as you learn the beauty of intimacy during this time, it is transforming you. Very soon you will move into the place that allow your dreams to be unpacked.
I hear the prayer of Jabez as I write this,
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked. 1 Chronicles 4:10
He is enlarging your borders and preparing you in order to keep you from harm within the expansion that is coming for you.
