Kathi Pelton
I have become quite aware over the past month of an outpouring from the Lord that is taking place regarding past traumas. I have not only seen this in many lives around me, but even in my own life. God is orchestrating redemption in ways that not only redeem past traumatic events, but actually bring greater honor and healing than if they had never happened.
Just as in the story in Genesis, when Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers, so your story will end like his…with great redemption.
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” Genesis 50:20
Even those who betrayed you (like Joseph’s brothers) will benefit from God’s redemptive work in you. Families will be restored and what was lost will become greater than it originally was before the trauma.
The bitter is becoming sweet again and it is reviving that which seemed irredeemable. In my personal situations, I can say that it is like I am dreaming as I look upon the redemption of the Lord. Every time I think that it’s “just too amazing” He overwhelms me with more.
As God’s people have remained faithful, even in the pits and prisons that others set them in, God is now arising in the fullness of time to fulfill the promises of old, to restore things lost or stolen, and to turn wails of mourning into shouts of joy.
“You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Psalm 30:11-12
Even now, let thankfulness become your shout. Our Redeemer lives! He is riding on the winds of change and carrying recompense in His hands. He is accompanied by heavenly hosts that shout His praise and declare His faithfulness to all who call upon His name. He is showering the “rain of His reign upon His sons and daughters and extending His scepter to the pure in heart. Shout for joy, for He is worthy and He redeems.

If their ministry has been a blessing to you then now would be the time to give as they have faced some large unexpected costs due to a death in their family. Thank you for standing with them as they walk through this time.
