The Breaker Is Breaking Through For You

By Kathi Pelton

Recently I was in our worship service at our church, Father’s House Portland, and as we were releasing high praise I heard the Spirit of the Lord say over the people these words,

“I am the BREAKER and I am going before my people to break through for them.”

Then I found myself in a vision where I was with a very large number of God’s people and we were standing in front of a massive sea— and it was a stormy sea that appeared angry. Then I looked behind us and an enemy army was approaching rapidly. They too appeared angry and bent on destruction— our destruction.

I immediately recognized that I was in a scene like we read about in Exodus 14, when Moses and the children of Israel stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army at their backs. But this was now and not thousands of years ago.

In this vision, God’s people (including me) were carrying gifts, sacrificial gifts, that they had spent many years preparing to present before the Lord. These gifts represented their lives, their families and their journeys of faith— and the enemy wanted to destroy them.

The gifts had been prepared through tears, toil and battles that had cost them dearly. But the cost was paid to honor their King. They were precious gifts— costly gifts that they couldn’t wait to give to the Lord.

But now the sea was before us and the enemy army was behind us. We had no where to go so we cried out to God, knowing that he alone was our helper and deliverer. Suddenly, Jesus appeared before us with his feet very near to the fierce sea water. The moment his toes touched the water the sea stood up to let him pass through.

As the sea stood up it was like watching a soldier honoring his king as he passed by.

At this point in the vision it became very personal to me because I could no longer see all the people but only the Lord— the BREAKER.

He was directly in front of me and was parting the sea that had stopped me from going forward. His hands were straight out in front of him and as his fingertips touched the sea waters they would stand up to let him pass by. I was still carrying my offering and I wept for joy as I watched him make a way— where there had been no way— before me. Behind me I was aware that the mighty waters were swallowing the enemy that had pursued me (us) with such fury. We were protected before us and behind us.

Then once again I heard the words that I had heard earlier— but this time they were personal,

“I am your BREAKER and I am going before you to breakthrough for you.”

His love for me and for what my life had prepared for him was so tangible. It was so precious to him and he was not going to let it be robbed from me or from him. I will carry it until the end of my days when I will present it before him in the presence of our Father and all who reside in heaven.

The personal part in this vision was for me but I also knew it was for you. For each of you personally.

Your life— your tears— your sacrifice— your testimony and your faith is carried as worship and one day the culmination of every moment, every tear, every act of faith will be presented before him.

Just like the gifts that the Magi laid before him at his birth— gold (representing his kingship); frankincense (representing his divinity as God); and myrrh (symbolizing his mortality, suffering, and burial). Their gifts honored Jesus as king, priest, and savior. They honored what his life would be— even what he would suffer. Your gift is no different— it honors what his life was and what it accomplished. It represents the testimony of Christ in you— even your suffering.

The Breaker has gone before you!

“The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it. Their king will pass before them with the Lord at their head”. Micah 2:13

He will make a way before you and you will pass through the gate with your king before you. Take courage! You are precious in his sight and all that you have carried throughout your life is precious to him as well. He will break through for you!
