As I was waiting on the Lord this morning I heard a whistle blow and then the words, “Line up!”
As I heard this I went into a vision and saw twelve children playing on a playground. The Lord was in the midst of them (as their teacher) and He suddenly blew a whistle and called out “Line up.” As the children gathered in formation before Him, they suddenly became the twelve disciples.
I immediately understood that God is whistling for modern-day disciples to come and line up before Him. These are those who will leave everything to follow Him. He will take them and train them in the ways of His Father and they will do the “greater works.”
“I will whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as numerous as they were before.” Zechariah 10:8
This is a whistle that gathers the faithful remnant of the Lord; the ones who are listening intently to hear and obey; the ones who will hold nothing back from the One who gave His all. Like Peter, they will drop their fishing nets and follow Him to become fishers of men. They will find the lost and teach the believers the ways of the Lord.
Then I heard the words from Hebrews 2:7-8,
“‘You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet.’ Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.”
As the children lined up before the Lord, they willingly placed themselves in subjection to His authority. As this occurred they were transformed into disciples. A disciple is an individual who follows a teacher and learns from Him. Jesus was in full and complete alignment with His Father; His life was fully subjected only doing what He saw His Father doing. This is how His disciples are to walk.
Though not everything on earth and in creation is subject to Him at this time (one day it will be), He is calling those who have willingly united their lives to Him, to be the sent ones who will call forth the divine order of bringing men—and all things pertaining to men—into subjection to Him.
We are the ones who have been given authority to rule and reign with Christ. We are called, as His disciples and apostles, to align with Him to bring His Kingdom and dominion to earth as it is in Heaven. The enemy has been forcing men and creation into subjection to demonic dominion from the beginning of time but it is time for the citizens of the Kingdom of God, who are called and have been made priests and kings, to force the dominion of Satan to loose all that which belongs to God…which is everything!
All that is not subjected to the Kingdom of God is under the command of the devil (the commander of the unseen world) and we are called to take it back by force through receiving our instructions from the Lord and carrying them out specifically according to His words.
The Kingdom of God has “suffered violence” and the enemy has attempted violence upon it but we are rising up, and by the authority of Jesus Christ, which is given to us as we align our lives with His dominion, we are forcefully taking it back. Not by our ways or in our strength but by humbly subjecting our lives to the one true King. We have laid down our childish ways, our opinions, and our rebellious demands in order to be discipled at His feet where we become like Him.
“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:1-6
To become “subject to Him” is to be united with Him. It is to say, “Not my will but your will be done.” In this way we can become those who will cause the enemy’s camp to suffer violence. We will be the head and not the tail, the ones who see sin and the powers of the world put under our feet. We will take back men and nations for our God. He will have His inheritance!
Do you hear the whistle? The Lord is calling all those who will line up to say “yes” to seeing all creation align under the authority of the Kingdom that has no end. Though the Kingdom of God has suffered violence, it is time for the dominion of Satan to suffer violence by those who have found the love of God and willingly united their lives to Him.
“I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.” Matthew 11:11-13
We will lay hold of the kingdom of heaven and bring it down to earth. We will bring the kingdom of heaven to the hearts of men and watch them transform and we will bring transformation into our cities and nations until we see His full inheritance given back to Him.
Line up! His whistle is blowing even now.
