We all know the saying, “Stop, drop and roll” that was taught to us as children in case we are ever on fire. Today I heard the words,
“Stop, drop and stay.”
I saw God’s people stop all of the busyness to drop to their knees and just stay with Him. As they took the time each day to just be with Him, the fire of God fell and set them ablaze with His love.
I saw angels of fire going out to set fire to those who would “Stop, drop and stay”. It is the fire of first love, the fire that ushers in passionate abandonment and the fire that ignites the desire of wanting nothing more than to be face to face with Him.
Now is the time to stop, drop and stay with Him.
“Take me away with you—let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers. We rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. How right they are to adore you!” Song of Songs 1:4
Let us hurry to STOP!
