May Will Be A Month That You Receive Great Help and Increase

Kathi Pelton

As we stepped into the month of May I began hearing the words from Psalm 115:14-15,

“May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” Psalms‬ ‭115:14-15‬ ‭

“May you be blessed…” This is the word over you in this month called May. The Lord is coming to give you increase, to give your children increase, and to bless you!

The words in Psalm 115:14-15 follow these words in the verses prior to them,

“O Israel, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great.” Psalms‬ ‭115:9-13‬ ‭

Those who have put their trust in Him shall be blessed! He has been your help and your shield and you are about to see His power demonstrated on behalf of those who fear Him, who trust in Him. Where the enemy has come to accuse, to bring harm, to cause fear and destruction; watch now as God, in the fierceness of His love, arises to bare His arm before the forces of darkness.

“The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.” Isaiah‬ ‭52:10‬ ‭

The Lord is about to bare His holy arm before nations, kings, powers, and principalities. He is arising from His throne to deal with the enemies that have stood against Israel and stood against His people. He will show that He is their (your) help, shield, and rear guard.

Begin May with a song and a shout of joy because the One who sits on the throne in Heaven is worthy and He is trustworthy. Let the voices of the watchmen arise in confident joy because their victory has been promised. Release songs of joy over your life, over your family, over your city, over your nation, and over Israel. God has spoken and your Helper has heard your cry.

Just as God is rising up from His throne to deal with the enemies who have attacked you and who even now plan attacks against His chosen people, He is calling you to rise up and sing for joy. Your victory song is a weapon of great power. Clothe yourself in strength by putting on the garments of joy.

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7

He is your help and shield as you trust Him with all of your heart. Shake off the fear that has entangled you with a web of doubt and discouragement! Stomp on that spider that has come to capture you in its web in order to silence your song and devour your hope. Rejoice…burst out in songs of thanksgiving and songs of joy.

This is His Word over you this May,

“May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” Psalms‬ ‭115:14-15‬

Let God arise and may His enemies be scattered!

  1. I loved this word. I want it to be for me! But I always question if nothing changes, is it? Is it enough for me to claim in faith, to choose to believe? When (or isn’t that a thing) do I get to experience it? Is it always and only a believe by faith, choose thing? Is there not a tangible happening? It seems like there must be. And yet, I fight so often to live on top of my feelings cuz I feel so many things, I don’t know. I do believe firmly in choosing truth in spite, in believing and moving by faith but I am so hungry for something tangible. I know God is wanting me to move in a place where feelings don’t dictate me and I think that’s partly what I am walking through now. But, still, is it wrong to long for some tangible God stuff? That I don’t need to squint my eyes or twist my head to see?
